Taking the opportunity, Daar runs to the Necromancer and hits him in the head with her mace just hard enough to knock him out, then picks him up and calls for her mount. She ties the mage onto the back and restrains his hand to prevent somantic gestures and gags him just in case he wakes before they get back.

We must hurry, I've no idea how long he'll be out. I would not worry about the large creature, if it's not who I think it is we can out fly it.

While the rest of the party figures out what to do about the necromancer, Zanan goes after the skeletal minotaur.

Rashad is looking at the Ocarina in his hands, perplexed. It isn't cracked or damaged in any way, but its magic was broken.
The east wall topples over in the opposite direction of the party. The forest is also burning over there.
In the fire, you can see the shape of a woman. Their features are all shaded black by the light of the fire. They appear to be completely ablaze.
Zanan heavily damages the Minotaur.
Chichiri tries to come down to Zuzu but a burning tree comes flying out of the woods from the west as three Treants, on fire, burst through the treeline. Chichiri narrowly dodges the projectile, which instead hits the Minotaur skeleton.
One of the Treants is visibly bigger than the others, and has a more detailed "face" with a large, long nose and beard as well as eyebrows, each of which appear to be carved into the wood. The others only have glowing slits for eyes.
"Are you the miscreants who started this fire, small folk? The evil of the flame-bearers will be asphyxiated by me, Steelbark!"

The necromancer, seemingly at the end of his wits, says this.
"One of the Chosen, eh?" He looks at the shape of the woman. "Makes me *cough* sick to my stomach, and that's impressive for a dwarf."
He holds up his hands in a T position, and his hands glow with magic.
"Bad luck, adventurers! Stage two of my plan is made possible by these events!"
"TELEPORT!"
Him, the beholder corpse, and the Flumphs disappear.

Knowing full well that Altiui was partially responsible, but not in the mood to fight these creatures, Zuzu tries his best to be very cordial and obsequious.

Mr. Steelbark sir. It was that Necromancer, the one who teleported away. He was responsible, he was trying something unholy and unnatural with that beholder. Maybe we can help put the fire on you out, sir?

OOC: I am assuming the Minotaur skeleton is down. If not, please repeat previous attack.

****! Zanan exclaims at the mage teleporting away.

Despite the frustration, there's still a minotaur to deal with, so he slams his maul into it.

If Minotaur is down: Daar in frustration and anger whirls around towards the treant. We are not the ones responsible. The hatchling speaks Tru, we can help put the flames out on you and your friends.

Quick, put out the fires! Cultists first!

Zanan starts tying up any cultists still alive and not on fire. Any of these guys can give the guild information. We need them all. Even the dead ones can be resurrected and extracted for information. The guild will have the resources.

Meanwhile, Zanan looks for his dragon runt.

Daar immediately begins looking for anything to use to put out the fires, rather than worrying about the cultest, she concentrates on the treants.

[Zergrinch]

"Waterskins! Who's got full waterskins?" Zuzu shouts. His pack, of course, doesn't have any. Since it would have weighed the puny mystic down considerably.

"Does anyone here know Frostbite or Ray of Frost?"

OOC: A full waterskin weighs 5 pounds and holds 4 pints of water. This is equivalent to 1.9 liters or half a gallon.

Altiui Frilled Lizardfolk Circle of Dreams Druid Concentrating on: -- Altiui ceases concentrating on the flaming sphere and it vanishes with a soft whoosh. She says, "Yes." to Zuzu and begins trying to put out the fires with frostbite.

After a few minutes of working together with the Treants, the fire stops. The trees are all burnt to a crisp and the Treants are distraught. The silhouette of a woman has disappeared, and the air feels a lot colder than it was, not just because of the flames. Your mounts land nearby, ready to take off. In the distance, a mountain is glowing with rainbow colors.

"Well, small folk, apologies for accusing you. I will get to planting the forest again, as I have done these past 8 centuries.

The ring speaks to you in your head. "That was... Surprising. Definitely wasn't shaken."

[Ooc]Are the mountains with the rainbow colors the same mountains as our home base?

"I do not know, young one, what woman do you speak of? I could not see behind my tears of sap at the loss of so many trees and Treants."

This is a different mountain; Your base is farther to the northwest than that mountain.

Zanan whistles for his mount to land, and once it does so, he puts some of the live cultists (tied up) on the mount to transport them back to base.

Afterwards, he starts searching the room for any treasure, valuables, or important pieces of information to take back to the base.

Zuzu assists Zanan's treasure-hunting to the best of his abilities. If they are going to risk their lives, then it might as well be done in the lap of luxury!

Daar also looks around for anything that would be of great value or help. Once she finishes she calls her mount over and sits on her.

She watches Zuzu as he looks through the rubble, and begins to miss her siblings. Mostly her baby brother Kriv, she pulls out her picture and says a silent prayer to Bahamut.

You find 700 copper, 9000 silver, 2100 gold, 130 platinum, and 6 gemstones each worth 100 gp.

Can anyone cast detect magic?

If all the coin is in containers, Zanan will start strapping it all to the mounts to transport back to the base.

Unable to assist in any of the physical looting, Zuzu decides instead to plunder whatever is left of the wizard's library. Did the man leave behind a diary of sorts? How about his spellbook? Or focus?

If he had a spellbook, he didn't keep it in his library; You don't find anything of the sort. Most of the books on Conjuration and Necromancy are burned to a crisp- None of the others have even been touched by the flames, for some unknown reason.

Zuzu enlists the help of Ossian to cart out all the surviving books. For "safekeeping." All this "nasty magic stuff" should be "sequestered for the safety of the world!"

Hopefully the half elf buys the load of baloney the boy tried to pull on him.

Altiui Frilled Lizardfolk Circle of Dreams Druid Concentrating on: -- "Yes." Altiui replies again and once the collected items are assembled, she casts Detect Magic. (As a ritual.)

After the few minutes it takes to pack up all the treasure, the lights around the mountains have gotten stronger.
The Treants are planting saplings in the burnt soil.
A man wearing a brown hood rides on a young blue dragon down to the party, and lands. He holds up one of the messaging stones that you were given before the mission. You hear in your heads:
"Report from Naram. Chaotic anomalies above mountains. Sense a great power that might be greater than I. It will only be an hours' flight from where you stand. Hurry and stop that necromancer at all costs."
Then the man takes off on his dragon, in quite a hurry, towards the mountains.

Zuzu shakes his head. Nope, he's exhausted. Needs a nice long rest. He's not about to take on a threat much stronger than a dragon. He's not even as strong as a dragon!
