I grumble, "Yeah, that sounds good. I'm not feeling to great anyway..."

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Kheldar
Looking at the other two who have fallen to sleep so quickly at the mere mentioning of the word, "rest," with a rather odd look on his face, Kheldar shrugs, and decides that he's taking first watch.
He'll spend the first portion of his time dragging all the hobgoblin corpses to form a stunted wall across half of the corridor.
And then he'll spend the second portion of his time quietly humming to himself and being generally bored out of his mind.
Probably, Daethe will show up before Kheldar has Francis take second watch. The Chilli God has Spoken.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Daethe
A series of "ow"s preceed Daethe into the room. The elf limps forwards, obviously saddle-sore. His hawk still sits on his shoulder, looking immensely bored.
"Kheldar! Good to see yer well. And you knocked the half-orc unconscious! I told you he'd be trouble."Last edited by Naleh; 2008-03-09 at 11:36 PM.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Kheldar
The halfling looks at the elf as though Daethe had himself been knocked unconscious during his journey a few too many times.
"Make no mistake, he fell unconscious of his own free will. Francis and I had no part in it! Just whompf! Out of nowhere! Unconscious.
...
Or asleep, your pick."
He then brightens up considerably.
"So! How was your journey? I see you got rid of the girl freak, that means you delivered her to safety! Which is good, because it means that the king has proof we're doing good down here! Which reminds me, we killed a whole bunch of hobgoblins while you were gone! They were very fierce, they almost hit me! Me! The nerve of them. I always wondered what really makes hobgoblins so hard to make fall over. Is it something that they ate for breakfast? Like, buffalo or something? I've seen a buffalo before, and they're pretty big. Do you know what a buffalo looks like? It has the face of a bugbear, I swear..." And so forth. The Chilli God has Spoken.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Francis
I open one eye, and say Back from your vacation, finally, you don;t look to beat up, but with elves you never know. Another elf i knew once got drunk on his first glass of wine, and started a fight, ten seconds, and a light push later he was on the floor with broken arm. Plus the half-orc got very tired from just shooting arrows at the hobgoblins, I think that he needs to improve his accuracy a little bit.Though the pen is mightier than the sword, the sword speaks louder and stronger at any given moment.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Daethe
The elf looks a little put off by all this. Rather than facing the group and his prejudice, he wanders over to examine the corpses of his favoured enemy, "accidentally" kicking Dmitri along the way.

"They're sweaty... I see it took you a good minute to kill these things," he comments. "Probably the half-orc slowing you down. I had to face foes of my own, y'know," he adds indignantly. "I was in mortal peril for a while. I had to face a massive wolf in close combat! And where were you guys? Sitting around with a half-orc."

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Dmitri
Dmitri fails to notice as the frail, lithe, graceful elf leg lightly touches him.
As Daethe makes comments on the corpses, I open one eye and say
"Are you gonna do the autopsies then, elf?"
(Mockingly, in an arrogant, snobbish elven/British accent) " 'Major puncture wounds of the spleen led to a drop in blood pressure so that this orc fell unconscious, and died shortly afterwards. Post-mortem activity of the Eccrinal Sweat Glands, along with liver temperature, or at least what's left of the liver after the death-dealing, tumbling hobbit here got to it, puts time of death at one and a half hours ago.' "
Why don't you sit down and shut up?
I then snore something about needing to get a pet wolf.Last edited by randman22222; 2008-03-12 at 09:24 AM.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
OKay, Dmitri, I will say that you recovered 1/4 of what you where hurt. As for the forum roller, here's how it goes......
First, for your sake, when typing this in, substitute my { for [, right?
{roll}1d20{/roll} would roll 1 d20 without a modifier. To add a modifier, just do this.....
{roll}1d20+5{/roll} to roll a d20 and add 5 to the result. To show the individual result of the die, do
{rollv}1d20+5{/roll} to get both the result for just the d20 and for that result plus five. Rollv also works when rolling multiple dice. It will shopw you each die's result seperately.
If you want your roll to have a heading, like if it's a Listen check, you can write in
{roll=Listen}1d20+6{/roll} Make Sense? Try some rolls out in your next post to see if you got it.Incredible Avatar done expertly By Simius

That gives the elf pause. He stares at Dmitri for several moments, then, remembering himself, he looks away and announces "I'm scouting ahead."
Unless something leaps out just now. Then what he's doing is fighting it.

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
Daethe
The elf stops, and quietly slips an arrow from his magical quiver and fits it to his bow. This reminds him of his training... He'd always enjoyed sniping practice. He wasn't as good as some of his fellows - who seemed to be able to double the bow's range - but he was good, which was one of the reasons he favoured the bow over his other weapons.
He sights carefully, fires, and then announces, "We have company."

Re: Dungeon Run Campaign
With a skilled shot, Daethe is able to shoot an arrow into the head of the leading hobgoblin, and he immediately drops dead. After the body drops down the stairs, a number more of them run up looking for who shot that arrow. Initiative for everyone that hasn't already rolled it.

Hp 23/23, AC 19, [Init 18]
"Never a dull moment around here, isn't there? I quite like this!" the cheerful halfling quietly remarks to himself as he gets out his crossbow while diving for cover behind the stackpile of hobgoblin bodies that he assorted earlier, where he then loads it and hopes that they didn't see him.
Because he isn't doing a very good job of hiding this time around.
