I just got back from my grandpa's 80th birthday party, which took place ~350 miles down the Mississippi River from here. Apparently SE Minnesota and SW Wisconsin just got pounded by rain - some areas got 12" in 24 hours. The rain kept up nearly the entire time I was driving, making progress a little slower than normal. Plus, I had to take a 50 mile detour around a mudslide. Not so much fun.

I am now officially freaked out. It's about have past midnight here and I heard a weird noise outside. It was really high pitched, it sounded like an animal in pain. I went out to check but I couldn't see anything and the noise had stopped. Any idea what it was? I'm thinking a fox.

That is the strangest thing I have heard all day. The randomness is making me giggle and the mystery is tempting me. That must be hard to do.... get a clear core sample out.

It's funny, because my brother did the exact same thing for awhile, I had him stop it eventually, it tended to shorten the soap's life significantly.
