Prutina feels the tumblers click as she feels the lock click open and twists the handle as the door unlocks

Prutina held her heart pounding as she turned the handle and stepped over the threshold. She hid her pick back in her hair. From one of her pockets, she pulled out her Wand of Wall of Fog in case she needed to make a hasty exit. The wand was a gift from her parents before she left home.

Prutina froze where she was. Whoever was here saw her enter, but she did not see them. Walking backwards, she made for the exit, silently. She did not want trouble. At least by herself anyway.

She left the building and closed the door behind her. She sighed and ran out of the alley. She felt safe as soon as she was around other people on the street. She looked around for Vulas.

[Dagron]

Vulas walks past Prutina slowly so she can easily follow. When she follows behind Vulas will softly speak.so what did you see?

With a deep breath, Prutina regained her composure and nonchalantly followed Vulas. "I regret that I saw nothing, but somethings saw me. I heard them whispering to each other. By what they said, I am bigger than them and one wanted to keep me. They allowed me to leave basically." The halfling woman explained.

[Dagron]

Vulas speaks softlyAh then my theory is that Something is the marrionetts some how living impressive magic but how does he do it, better yet how does he control them. A brief look of pale fear crosses his face. Unless he's lost control of them and they are running wild.We best get to the theater if I'm correct people are going to need help.
But we will have to wait for Guiseppe to strike first.
Are you with me? Or do you think I'm mad? Vulas changes direction and begins to head toward the theater waiting for Prutina's response.

The halflings eyes widened at the bizarre suggestion. "That is crazy, but so is magic. I'm with you!"

[Dagron]

The to the show. I just hope the Puppeteer hasn't become the puppet. Vulas quickens his pace and heads straight for the theater

As our adventurers enter the theater They are directed toward the seats to the back as the seats up front are reserved for children. Most of the Middle seats are taken by town folk adults, but several are available in the back. As the sun sets in the distance they close the doors to the theater and the show begins at the puppet stage. A very lifelike marionette appears on the smaller puppet stage. Its so life like its disturbing. The children cheer in joy at his appearance calling out Figlio! Figlio! The puppet begins a slapstick routine with a few other routines using puns and, Punch and Judy Jokes, and silly gags.

As The first act is coming to a close Aldo Opens the door as a chill breeze from the storm rushes in, but only effecting those in the back. A Chill creaks up your spine. Aldo looks around and points to Vulas, Prutina, Jail, and Avery, motioning them over to him.

"Come with me, I think I found Him"

[Dagron]

Vulas quickly to his feet rushes to follow Aldo.

Prutina followed Aldo as well.

[Andrew Markham]

Avery lowers his voice, asking Aldo, "And what are we going to do with...him...once we find him?"

Jail makes his way toward him

[Darius Vibrtrar]

Aldo leads the four adventurers across the courtyard and to the constabulary. Once they all have entered he points towar a jail cell.

"We are gonna question him, you all seem a bit more.. experianced, was gonna let you all attempt it. "

The group is able to see an individual huddled, laid down on a cot in the Cell, their back is turned toward the group, and they are covered in what looks like a worn, battere, and stained blanket.

Vulas stands back and prepares to take note. But also keeping an eye on everything going on around.

Avery looks to Aldo, nods, then steps into view of the cell. He clasps both hands behind his back, taking a uptight stance. Avery pictures in his mind his own father, the stance that he would take before striping the hide from one of his children verbally. His jaw clenches. "Your name, sir," Avery barks.

[EdgeGrinder]

"And occupation." Prutina added.

[Darius Vibrtrar]

As the form rolls over, the blanket flaps in the cell spreading the scent of alcohol and body oder. The man uncovers his head to reveal his face. The half orc begins a yawn before belching.

" My name is grog and I'm a ... Vagrant brunk. *Belch* at least that's what the law lists as my occupation"

[Dagron]

Vulas puts his head in his hand for a second. Goes over to Aldo and whispers, So, why do you believe it's him? Just curious as to the evidence the drew you to him specifically.

[Darius Vibrtrar]

Aldo leans toward Vulas and whispers.

"Its from my constable training, if there's a crime and there is a half orc in town, always check on them. they are prone to violence, and to boot, hes a town drunk. Get drunk, ask for some money from a guy, when he says no...he follows him home. Goes up with him, kills the father, in his drunken amusement, paints on a clown face, threatens the little girl. gets out before the wife sees. Found him drunk in the ally behind their house. I think we've got our man"

[clarison]

Jail approaches the bars

"Can you stand up for me a moment?"

[Andrew Markham]

Avery turns a cold glare on Aldo. Very slowly and deliberately, he says, "I told you...the knots were tied by someone who is very weak. Drunk he may be, but half-orcs are known for strength. And the mother never mentioned an orc entering the house. You're looking for a quick, easy answer, instead of one that fits the facts...and you shame your profession in doing so."

[Darius Vibrtrar]

the Half orc stands, a Hand taller than the average man, broad shouldered. He grips the bars of the cell to hold himself up. Aldo takes a half step back as the man rears up. Aldo looks to the group.

"He was in the right area, Drunk is drunk, he could have sloppily tied the man down. The woman could easily been busy cooking, or out grabbing grocery, too busy to notice, or simply out. "

The Half Orc Grunts to gather attention.

"I bibnt bo anything, I deen Brunk all bay. Free Brinks all along the street. Dest Bay of the whole Year. Can I go now?"

[clarison]

Looking at the constable with disappointment

"Where are the mother and child right now?"

[Darius Vibrtrar]

Aldo looked to Jail.

"Probably at the theater, I released them after the woman calmed down a bit and answered some more questions."

He paused for a moment.

"She probably took her daughter to the theater"

[clarison]

"So a father is murdered a WITNESS sees the crime possibly the next target to clean up a loose end and you let them go?"

Before he answers jail rushes out the door, turns for a moment and says

"I will guard the mother and child make sure they are next on whoever has done this's list"

Then rushes to the theater

Avery clenches his fists and shakes his head. "You think a drunken half-orc snuck past a family, killed someone with a single stab to the chest from a knife hidden in their own house, tied them up and displayed them in an intricate manner, then snuck back out, stumbled into the alley, and passed out? That's completely ludicrous, and if you're too foolish to realize it, you don't deserve to do your job. Which is just as well, because you've basically had us doing it anyway. You are dismissed, SIR."

Avery turns his back on Aldo and addresses the other men. "Gentlemen of other races, we need to keep that girl safe and track down the murderer. Are you with me?"

[Dagron]

That's why Prutina and I were at the theater to begin with. Vulas pauses for a minute. I have a couple of theories but I will say this either way Guiseppe is involved.

Prutina looked at the half-orcs hands.

Then, she turned to the others.

"What kind of knife was the murder weapon? Dagger? Kitchen knife?" The halfling asked.
