He looks around, "I've got papers begin for Moira, Zephyrinque, Hyde, and Tyralisa. Is that everyone?"

"Sorry, I'm Medina. No surname." The silent slime-girl says from the back. "Personally, I'd be happy with a nice bed right now." She tries to not let her thoughts drift back to her dead and missing family.

"Medina, got it. Thank you. And I'm sure you'll find the ambassador suite will provide well a bed to sleep in."

The vulpine man bundles his tails together and approaches the guard alongside Tyra. "Excuse me." He says politely. "I'm Dorian Safehaven, I'm with this group."

The guard sizes Dorian up for a moment. His stance becomes more proper and he nods his head in deference, "As you say, sir. May I ask where you are from, fine folks? It is a small but necessary piece of information if I'm to allow you into the City of Light. Even with the word of these men." He gestures to Mr. Blank, Ingot, and Gus.

He turns to the building, "Fredrique!" he calls out, "fetch Mischa! These ones are going to need an escort to the Name! And tell her to dress with wisdom!"

"We were seeking safety in a local village when a band of raiders attacked, it was razed, but we escaped relatively in tact." He looks at the guard with the utmost innocence. "Otherwise, I suppose we've always been wanderers, never belonging in this world." He wipes away a false tear with one of his tails, as if he's always been the most lonely adorable fox in the world, and just speaking of the matter hurts. He leans on Tyra for "emotional support".

The guard's eyes begin to well up with tears as he sniffles. "You poor boy! Come on, all of you. I'll let you in and send your papers by courier. My daughter will be here momentarily to escort you."

Even as he finishes talking, a young lady runs up. She stops short to smooth down her dress.

"I see you have met my father Juan. I am Mischa Turnov. Please follow me."

Dorian

Feeling bad for manipulating the guard with a tender heart, he resolves to make it up somehow later. "Thank you, sir. You're a kind man." He folds his hands around the guard's and shakes them with vigorous appreciation.

When Mischa turns up, Dorian sizes her up briefly in his head, eyes dilating. Pretty, well maintained, and raised by a kind man. He smiles cheerfully at her. "Hello, Mischa." He takes to her side at her beckoning to follow. "My name is Dorian." His tails flick about with curiosity, brushing gently against any and all things he passes by (except the ground).

Mischa takes a second look at Dorian and gasps at his fine appearance. The inhale was enough to cloud her innocent mind...

"Oh! Master Dorian! You remembered my name!" Mischa accepts his hand on her arm with a blush and leads everyone in to the City.

"Please, Master Dorian, forgive my boldness... but... are you single?"

Thinking to himself: How much trouble is this going to get me in with the girls? He decides it would only be right to answer honestly. "Please, mistress. I am no master, you may call me Dorian... and yes, I am." He smiles cheerfully at her, hoping the girls didn't hear him.

His ears twitch slightly as he adds. "Yourself, mistress?"

"I am now, Master Dorian" Mischa coos, "unless you say otherwise."


About this time the lot of you enter the city proper. True to name, it's well lit even at this time of night. People are up and walking around.
The walls vary in materials used building by building. The roads are smoothly paved.

A building looks up ahead. 4 stories tall. Grand windows face the center of town. The sign out front states that this structure is known as "Inn His Name".

The open doors welcome all into the pub that dominates the first floor.

Realizing he's probably about to get himself into trouble with multiple parties, one of them being his own, the impetuous fox still pushes forward! Smiling charmingly and slyly wrapping a few tails around Mischa (a habit he's formed over the past few years) he offers. "Perhaps I should buy you a drink, and get to know you a little." He winks at her with a sidelong glance. "We may be homeless wanderers, but I believe I still have enough coin to buy a fine lady an appropriately fine drink."

After all, He thinks to himself. her father treated us so well, it'd be wrong of me not to treat his daughter. Was he rationalizing? Yes. Did he really care? Nope.

"I really should show you to your room, rooms first... Maybe just one drink? To take up?" Mischa can rationalize too.

Dorian

It was at this point that Dorian realized he'd bitten off a larger piece than he was sure he could chew. But, never one to back down from a challenge, Dorian once again pushed forward with confidence. "Of course, mistress." He said humbly. He allows her to lead the way, assuming she knows the inn much better than him. His tails flick about, a telltale sign that he's a little nervous to anyone who knows him. Those who don't know him figure it's just another foreign gesture from a strange and foreign young man.

Zephyrinque Sanayd Prickling at the attention this strange girl is getting from Dorian, Zephyr pulls her cloak tighter about herself as they wandered into town in an attempt to keep her nature more hidden... Unlike Tails over there, all sidled up to this new girl. As they enter the tavern and Dorian takes the center stage, Zephyr tries to take in everything she can.. This is the most new people she's ever seen in her life, and she wants to know what their new world has to offer... Besides loose women, anyway.

"YOUNG MISS TURNOV!" the woman behind the bar bellows, "HOW ARE YOU THIS NIGHT?"

"Ay-ya! Lady Pettilace! I can hear you just fine without the telling! These are the ambassadors staying here the night. Is their suite ready yet?" she clutches to Dorian possessively, "because I need to escort them up right away! And they'll be needing drinks, too. The good stuff and plenty of it. Straight to the suite!" she ends with a giggle.

Lady Pettilace gives Mischa the look a responsible adult gives a foolish child making a bad decision. "Yes, little girl, their suite is ready. And I'll have their drinks delivered shortly."
She tosses a set of keys to Dorian, "There's all the copies of the keys for that suite. You'll have what privacy you want. Just don't be a jerk."

Pointy bits mostly hidden under her robe, Zephyr notices that the headcount in the pub area has better than doubled with your groups entrance.

One man is drunkenly gazing into his pint glass. He shares his table with a second man, drooling as he sleeps under the influence of several pint glasses.

Another pair relax by the fire, one accompanying a somber and wistful song about the freedom of the Wild Lands with a beautiful guitar, the second watching you intently.

Dorian

The vulpine's eyes glitter as the keys jingle in the air, such wonder! He deftly snatches them and smiles widely at the woman. "Thank you, ma'am!" He says earnestly, hoping to glaze over the 'don't be a jerk' comment, she must have been talking to someone else! He walks over to the counter, possibly having to tug the attached Mischa with him, and extends his hand to shake hers. "My name is Dorian Safehaven." His dips his tails carefully, so they don't knock things off the counter. "Pleasure to meet you!"

He'll then hand a key out to each of his fellow adventures, excited to be the 'keeper of keys', even for a brief moment. He's usually known to pocket shiny objects...

He takes special notice when talking to Zeph, quietly speaking to her so Mischa or others can't hear him. He doesn't want to upset her. "You don't need to hide, Zeph. You're perfect." He smiles cheerily for her, hoping to warm her somber attitude. "These people seem nice..."

He does his best to hide a sad expression when he's out of keys, and realizes he didn't get to give one to Crik. His missing friend that he's lost without.

The green skinned player follows his companions gaze to the newcomers. His eyes widen slighlty as he notices the group and his song trails off...

He stands up and as he does the guitar disappears in his hands. A smile widens on his face and he walks towards the group who has just entered.

"Gildoron Goldenleaf, courier for Frayman of Treehold. What Isle are you lot from? This is the first time I have seen you here, and in such a large group." he puts his hand out...

Mischa sees the sorrow on Dorian's face and tugs on his arm, "C'mon! Let's go upstairs! I'm sure I can help you forget about what's hurting you..."

Leaf people being sub-par to the mutations he'd seen in his life, Dorian allows Mischa to tug him along. Noting that she's incredibly persistent and somewhat worried she's going to eat his head off later, thanks to something Crik told him when he was growing up.

He turns his glittering smile to her. "I'm not hurting at all." He lies, but follows her cheerfully. "Just missing a friend." A half-truth. He'll use his handy key to unlock any door necessary, and carry a pack or two upstairs for his friends!

I seep my drink, while my companion sings his song.

The stairway runs up through the center of the inn. At the top is a largish landing with a single door, several barrels of booze and a collection of glasses. It's a tall door, but otherwise plain. It opens quietly and before you is a magnificent suite. The best upholstery and furniture you can imagine. Ambassador? No, this feels royal!

Mischa grabs two glasses and says, "Why don't you roll one of those barrels into your room, Master Dorian?"

Dorian obliges, rolling it with haste. When he gets into the room, he's a little shocked and his eyes glitter with curiosity. "Something about this if off." He looks around at Mischa.

He smiles and bows slightly, "Ní raibh mé ag súil le spiorad crainn eile a fheiceáil anseo - níl tú ó Crainn shealbhú..."

He turns to the cloaked man at his side, tapping him on the shoulder, "C'mon Kal let's let them rest; if they wish, we can speak with them in the morning." he nods his head to those newcomers, as he does the golden leaves on his head produce a musical sound like the wind through chimes. "Pardon us, we will leave you to your rest."

Mischa has both glasses in hand, one full and the other only half full. Her upper lip glistens slightly with the liquor.
"Yeah, you're not drinking with me." She holds the full glass out to him as she kicks off her shoes.

If he gathers no malicious intent from Mischa, he'll respond in the following manner. If he does detect something's up, I'll edit this post.

Dorian Safehaven

Smiling his white smile, he regains composure. "Ah yes, you're right." He takes the cup and sips it down gratefully. Being unaccustomed to alcohol and lacking the proper body weight to diffuse its potency, Dorian is most definitely a lightweight.

Taking a seat on a bed, he raises an eyebrow and spreads his tails out, sort of like a peacock, their golden blonde fur glistening with any available light. "Much better." He winks at Mischa.

You find nothing malicious about Mischa! She's a young lady trying to seduce you. All on the up and up. Nothing wrong there. Nope.

Have you taken the time to talk with anyone? To learn about the area? Knowledge local take a penalty first night in a new town.

Mischa finishes off her glass and refills it before joining Dorian on the bed. "I love how soft your tails are. So luxurious." She takes a drink and bats her eyes at him. "It's warm in here, am I ri-BLARGH!"

Sadly, young Mischa is not known for holding her liquor. She retches, and hard. I'll refrain from going into too much detail, but it's a mess. Her hair, her dress, Dorian's clothes and tails, the bed... She empties herself out. And by the time her technicolor yawn is finished she is passed out entirely. Her formerly mostly full glass of beer lies upended in Dorian's lap.

Hyde scoffs at the girl thats become infatuated with Dorian and rolls his eyes at the forwardness on display. Grabbing his key and following only as far as to know which room to go to, i think i'll stay here and take in the view
So many new faces and things to learn about has hyde unwilling and unable to feel tired. Hyde walks back into the main jall of the tavern and quietly takes a seat in the back corner of the room, when a waittress comes by he asks whats good and orders a drink and something to snack on while he watches

Dorian Safehaven

While incredibly disgusted, Dorian is also moderately relieved. He cleans up the mess as best he can from anything he can, removes all the bedding (setting it in a meticulous wad in the corner), removes his leather armor (now soiled), puts on his regular "street clothes".

"This is quite the mess." He shrugs. "At least my head is still in tact. If I ever see Crik, I'll have to tell him I survived a private encounter with a woman. He'll be impressed."

At this point, he removes the soiled dress from Mischa delicately, wraps her in linens, and sets her a bed that has not been soiled. He pats her gently on the head. Frowning, he empties a water skin onto the floor to remove the excess yuck. All said and done. He clasps his hands together and heads downstairs, smile in tact.

Slinking into the room, attempting to avoid attention, he leans over the counter for the barkeep's attention. "Madame Pettilace, can I borrow you." He smiles, innocently and earnestly. After all, he'd done nothing wrong and he'd already cleaned up most of the mess!
