Streaming Red Alert

Hello everybody.

In a few days I am going to be streaming a play through of Red Alert 2.

But I'd like some input on which faction to play. So to get some community involvement, I've put up a poll on my Twitter. Please drop in and vote.

I don't use Twitter, but my vote goes to the Allies. Their characters are more fun to watch bounce off each other - Einstein's Teutonic insanity, General Carville's Texas tough, and of course Agent Tanya. Plus, I think their specialist-based tactical play is more interesting than the grinding tank swarms that serve the Soviets best. Premier Romanov (RIP Nicholas Worth) is an entire delightful meal's worth of ham and cheese all by himself, but the supporting cast isn't as solid - General Vladimir is a grumpy jerk, Yuri is mustache-twirling evil, and Zofia's just sort of bland.

I love Yuri. He is so stereotypically evil that you just can't help it.

I'd vote for the Allies as well, they're more interesting to watch.

You should play both sides anyhow. Starting with the Soviets and ending with the Allies sets you up better for the Xpac since the Allies win is canon for the stiry afaik.
