Capes for Hire
Hi guys,
I would like to present to you my own little web-comic called Capes for Hire. Which follows Jake, a guy who has a superpower but doesn't want to be a superhero and his coworker Chris who always wanted to be a superhero, but doesn't have a superpower. They join up to fight crime, each other, and going bankrupt. I would love to hear what you think about it.

Re: Capes for Hire
I'm glad I checked the "about to fall off the page" threads.

So, if you had a normal life, a good job, and suddenly got a minor power, would you strap on a cape and take on the most dangerous job around for no pay?
I wouldn't use a cape, they get caught in too many things :-)Not "fire at". I never used the word "at"

Re: Capes for Hire
Oddly, I don't read comics for the art. Stick figures in a "dungeon" that is just a few lines, with borders that aren't straight? Humor will bring me back.

What happens when a normal manager gets the power to make things happen, quickly, and be accomplished? And why did I never have a manager like that :-)
EDIT:

The real story seems to start here. Two main characters, the setting (one lost his job, moves in to live with a friend, while becoming a super hero), and the plot complication ...Last edited by keybounce; 2017-07-11 at 08:55 PM.

The level of stupidity in a super-powered world is difficult to properly describe.
Have you ever seen a super-powered world, in any setting, where the ordinary people and governments are competent? Every such world I've seen seems to have more sub-normal people, and the few "above normals" seem to wind up as sidekicks or super-powered by accident. Not "fire at". I never used the word "at"

Re: Capes for Hire
... There's just no describing the sillyness of the movie production plot. I won't try.
But the current strip is http://capesforhire.com/59/Not "fire at". I never used the word "at"

New current http://capesforhire.com/62/
Ever gone to a movie where the ending just made no sense, where it seems like the ending was just formulaic fill in the blanks?
