    While speaking she gives Ixe a nod that seems to mean, yes let's move out. She begins walking slowly forward while talking.

"While I was hiding in there, I heard the nobleman talking to a woman--I don't know where Sir Balin is; I hope he escaped this terrible madhouse. But he--the nobleman, that is--said I wouldn't be able to escape, wherever I might be hiding, because there are vicious metal cobras in the next room, a secret door across from the stairs hides the way out, a shrieker screams when there is light or movement nearby somewhere, and four drowned men rise when the shrieker cries--most of it didn't make much sense, but it all seemed worth remembering."

    Vosnak follows around to the next door and he sees Nesh about to open it. "I wouldn't do that just yet. Seems there's 2 metal snakes in there to fight. Better to be ready and formed up for a fight. When everyone is ready I can stand in the back and summon some help once the door opens so we can attack from both sides. Anyone else with ideas?"

    As Ilnesh opens the door, a hissing sound greets you. On the other side of the door is another room similar in shape and size to the previous ones. A barred door on the south wall is the only visible exit. Your attention is immediately grabbed by the beautiful but menacing sight of two metal cobras spreading their hoods and rising to greet you.

    She barely sizes up the snakes before uttering an arcane incantation. With both her hands she releases a spell that looks like a translucent spherical object outlined with waves of force that moves quickly into one of the metal cobras.

    Ixe, impressed, glances side to side. Once again, his capable companions seem to be making short work of whatever foes stand against them. Not only is there not much for him to do, there is in fact nowhere left for him to stand!

    Instead, he takes the opportunity to observe Timeon more closely. Nothing about the boy's story adds up. Odd enough that he got down here at all; how could he have done so without noting the inscriptions on the doors? He peers at him distrustfully, his face expressionless..

    Sense Motive check: 1d20 +1 (rank) -2 (Wisdom penalty) = 7

    Ilnesh's dagger misses the snake. Timeon fires Jeyne's heavy crossbow at it, but the bolt bounces off the creature's metal skin. Though entangled by Vosnak's projectile, the snake is still able to move forward with impressive speed, attempting to bite Ilnesh.

    Ixe watches the fray tensely, the polished wooden staff clutched tightly in his grip. His eyes dart from his companions to the bizarre construct attacking them, and back. He watches and Ilnesh expertly dodges around to the construct's rear, hopefully confusing it for a moment. During the brief pause between Jeyne and Vosnak's magical attacks, he sees his opportunity and springs into action.
