Her familiar nods. "I see, so it's okay to lie to your friends when you feel like it. I'll be sure to remember that. Be careful, okay?"

[Diachronos]

"That's not what I... ugh, never mind. I'll see you later, Pyros." She checks to make sure her mask is in place before slipping out the window and down to the ground.

[NeoSeraphi]

When Sanguine enters The Wheel of Fortune, she sees Natsu speaking quietly to an eleven woman.

[Diachronos]

Sanguine approaches the young man. "Natsu Dragneel?"

[NeoSeraphi]

The young man looks up at her. "...We'll continue this later, Sparrow."

The elf stands up. "May the luck of the Fairy follow you, Salamander."

She sweeps her cloak over her body and transforms into a small bird, flying out into the night.

"Can I help you?" Natsu asks, turning his attention to Sanguine.

[Diachronos]

"My name is Sanguine. Selene said that we'd be working together tonight?"

[NeoSeraphi]

Natsu stands up. "Fine. Let's get going."

He walks out the door and makes for the Royalty District.

[Diachronos]

Sanguine follows close behind. "Selene tells me that you're planning on going in through the front door?"

[NeoSeraphi]

"That's right. So you better keep up. I have a very short window and if you fall behind you'll get caught."

[Diachronos]

"Don't worry. I'm not the sort to lag behind."

[NeoSeraphi]

Natsu nods and checks his watch. "On my mark..."

His mark turns out to come several minutes later. His eyes widen and he nods. "Go!"

Natsu launches himself forward and barrels to the door. He breaks it down with a single punch and a guard to the left jumps and fumbles for his weapon.

Natsu pulls his arm back. "Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" he chants, and his fist explodes into flames as he smashes the guard in the face.

The guard falls to the ground, unconscious. Two more guards shout and rush to help the group. They advance on Sanguine.

Sanguine draws her sword. "Come and meet your end..."

The guards hesitate a bit but they keep up their advance. The two of them move in to striking range of Sanguine. "Drop your weapons!"

Natsu makes a strange noise, almost like a roar, and leaps over to punch one of the guards to the ground.

Natsu raises an eyebrow. "Ice, huh? I know a guy who's perfect for you. Let's hurry before -"

"Over here!"

Six guards rush up in a cluster and raise their longbows. "You're surrounded! Put your hands in the air!"

These guards have clearly readied actions to fire if Sanguine makes a move.

[Diachronos]

Sanguine stops and raises her hands... only to throw a small pouch of ground crystal into the group. The pouch bursts, showering the guards with sparkling black-and-red powder.

Casting glitterdust to hit the group, they get a Will save (DC 15) to avoid being blinded.

[NeoSeraphi]

Half of the guards drop their weapons in surprise, but the other half shout and ready to launch their arrows.

However, Sanguine has distracted them long enough! Natsu charges forward.

He pulls his head back and yells. "Fire Dragon ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR!"

The young mercenary claps his fists together to form a small tube and breathes through it. A blast of flames erupts outward and crushes everyone in its path.

Sanguine glances around as the smoke clears from Natsu's attack. "Out of curiosity, how many places have you burned down in the process of raiding them?"

Natsu glances around. "Oh crap, if the guild gets hit with another bill, the Master is going to kill me!"

He points at Sanguine. "Listen, we need to be careful! Make sure you don't break anything else."

[Diachronos]

"Speak for yourself, the most I've broken is that first guard's shoulder." She glances over at him. "...So, you've got a bit of dragon in you, then?"

[NeoSeraphi]

Natsu looks down at his fist. "...Not exactly. It does look like it, I admit. But actually, I practice a very old type of magic. We call these 'Lost Magicks'. And the type I use is called 'Dragon Slayer' magic."

[Diachronos]

Sanguine nods slowly. It seems that the stories she's heard aren't just rumors and myths after all. "I always thought it was strange that dragons would teach mortals how to kill them more effectively."

[NeoSeraphi]

Natsu grins. "Oh come on, I would never use this magic on Igneel. He's like...my dad!"

[Diachronos]

"I never said you would. But a dragon training someone to use that kind of magic just seems like it's begging for them to stab the dragon in the back."

[NeoSeraphi]

Natsu shakes his head. "It's more to protect me from other dragons who would consider Igneel their rivals."

[Diachronos]

"Ah..." She readies her blade. "We should get moving, the other guards are probably already on their way."

[NeoSeraphi]

The two of them move down the hall. Sanguine hears the guards approaching around the corner, but Natsu doesn't appear to notice.

[Diachronos]

Sanguine grabs Natsu's arm and pulls him back. "Wait. More are coming."

She crouches down, ready to strike the guards when they round the corner.
