Re: King Maker Solo
With your back to the wall, you force most of the mites to attack you head on. But between having to watch your head and the little blue creatures stabbing at your shins, however, you aren't able to strike them. Still, they are also having a heck of a time with your barrier. Before you can catch your breath, however, Grabbles comes charging in on his trusty steed and strikes at you from over the head of his juniors. Off in the corner of your vision, you see Mikmek pull himself over the corner of the chasm. The sneak had dropped down to evade detection. He gives his best impression of a draconic roar before shoving a dagger he had filched from one of the mites who had been torturing him into the back of the nearest target.
Spoiler: OOCMites shift around using 5 foot steps, though there is only room for one flanking pair.

Re: King Maker Solo
Spoiler
Holy ****! +18 to hit? even after the +4 from flanking, that's some heavy weight right there. Did you import the spider tank from Ghost in the Shell?
5ft. step to the south west, draw one of the alchemists fire bottles and throw it at the tick (so it splashes it's comrade next to me, the tick's rider and the other mite)
(1d20)[9]+7
Damage
(1d6)[4]
"Alchemist’s fire is a mix of several volatile liquids that ignite when exposed to air. You can throw a flask of alchemist’s fire as a splash weapon. Treat this attack as a ranged touch attack with a range increment of 10 feet.
A direct hit deals 1d6 points of fire damage. Every creature within 5 feet of the point where the flask hits takes 1 point of fire damage from the splash. On the round following a direct hit, the target takes an additional 1d6 points of damage. If desired, the target can use a full-round action to attempt to extinguish the flames before taking this additional damage. Extinguishing the flames requires a DC 15 Reflex save. Rolling on the ground provides the target a +2 bonus on the save. Leaping into a large body of water or magically extinguishing the flames automatically smothers the fire."
hopefully the damage makes it harder for the boss to command the tick to attack.
Vindariel had to maneuver quickly to avoid another would be death blow. Taking one hand of his sword he picked the flask of alchemist's fire from his belt and chugged it into the midst of his enemies, hoping to trigger a fear reflex from the large tick.

Re: King Maker Solo
The tick screeches in pain and fear, forcing Grabbles to fight to stay in the saddle. The tick knocks the nearest mites prone as it thrashes wildly. With Grabbles preoccupied, chaos falls over the mite ranks. The prone mite picks himself up while the mite Mikmek attacked turns to duke it out with him. Only the other two mites remember their orders, and move around you to flank.
Spoiler: OOCTick needs a DC 15 Reflex save or takes another (1d6)[3] damage: (1d20+1)[18]

Mite 4 picks itself off the ground
Mite leader is going to take back control of his mount
Mikmek attacks Mite 1 (1d20+6)[16] (1d3+4)[6]
The +18 is mostly bonuses, with +4 from the enhanced flanking and +4 from his enhanced charge
Mikmek, the least apt combatant in the fray yips like a kicked dog as he's struck hard. No other attacks get through their target's defence.

Re: King Maker Solo
Grabbles doesn't have space to charge you, instead opting to simply command the mites while he jabs at you with his lance. Mikmek continues to duel with the single mite as the one that was knocked down by the tick comes to fight you.
Spoiler: OOCIt's okay, you're doing better than Mikmek.

(1d20+5)[24] (1d6+4)[9]
Mikmek attacks Mite 1 (1d20+6)[18] (1d3+4)[6]
These dice really aren't falling in your favor.
The pair of flanking mites prove to be a bit much to handle, their small blades score hits on you. Despite this, you are able to bat away the strikes from the other two mites. Mikmek scores his first hit, though he his cut in return. Even with their numerical advantage, the mites are beginning to feel the effects from the injuries you put on them. If you could just hit them, you be able to take them out.Last edited by Eonn; 2017-11-09 at 01:59 PM.

Re: King Maker Solo
Using one of the rickety chairs as a stool, you dash towards the leader and strike deep with a heavy horizontal slash. He cries out in pain from the attack, clutching his injury. Another hit like that will end him for sure. He looks at you, the mite's normally squinted eyes bulge wide open.
"Doom." He says. All the mites in the cavern turn to you and echo the ominous command. "DOOM!"
You can't pause to wonder what's happening though, as you find yourself too close to the tick snapping mandibles.
