    One of the two men slump to the ground, much to the other's surprise. He doesn't immediately try to awaken his comrade, instead he finally takes your presences seriously and raises the alarm. "Hey, we got some kind of wizard over here! He got Falgrim!" He shouts to the other guardsmen.

    Interesting. So that's the traitor then, Vindariel thinks to himself. With another thought he accelerates his personal time, rises into the air and blankets the area with the entangling power that has helped him to subdue the last camp, while moving swiftly towards the camp

    From you height, you are able to see into the towers and walkways built around the crumbling ruins of an even older structure. The two men you were dealing with previously were in the northwestern tower (Z3b), with another guard in the north east tower (Z3a). The southwest tower (Z3c) is currently empty; it's guard having gone the first tower when you were spotted. On the roof of the preexisting structure (though maybe it's a floor, and it's walls and roof have since collapsed; Z4) sits a man notable just by his great size alone. He sits with his back to you, fiddling with something by his feet.

    The sleeping Falgrim is unaware as he is entangled by the growths from the the platform he lie on, while the man with him and the brute on the central structure fight to break free. As this is going on, four more bandits spill out of the room sheltered by the central platform, and now stand by the front gate, trying to get their bearing on what's happening. Meanwhile, the thug in the northeast tower fires at you with his longbow.

    The fresh bandits are quick to ready their bows, and a whole volley of arrows come your way. Meanwhile, the beast of a man roar out in wordless rage, tearing away at his bindings. The man on the tower also tries to pull free, though doesn't make as big of a scene.

    Two arrows manage to penetrate the defenses, doing 2 and 4 damage. I spend 3 Psi points to nullify the damage and another 1 point for the force screen, bringing my defenses to 29 AC

    Move action to draw closer and bring the Z3b tower between me and the bandits

    Vindariel felt two arrows pierce through his defenses. Foolish. He had neglected to put up his shielding. He rectified that error and on instinct projected a psionic field to stop the arrows from piercing his skin. 'I have to be more careful.

    The four bandits chase you around the perimeter of the walls, trying to get a shot. The bandit ensnared on the tower decides to fire at you instead of fighting to get free, while the large man in the middle still thrashes.

    Being able to fly is a nice perk and Vindariel isn't shy to use it's benefits. He flies to the man still immobilized on the tower and hacks at him with his sword.

    I think the dice are trying to kill me. That's a total of 21 damage. I'll probably fail my concentration check and release the entangling effect.

    Fullround attack in the last round where I'm still hasted:

    Oh, by the way, how is the light in and around the fort? Do I get 20% concealment?



    The strike surprises Vindariel as it cuts through his defenses as if they weren't there. Pain lances through his body and for a moment he sees only red. With wild swings he tries to subdue his opponent as lightning flashes dance along his blade.

    The man gurgles and clutches at his stomach, trying to hold in his disemboweled entrails for a second until the shock and pain end him. Three of the bandits, now filing across the walkway on their way to the center structure fire their bows at you while the last calls out; "Auchs, an intruder! Smash his skull in." Auchs, who looks like he has a hill giant for a grandparent roars wordlessly as sprints towards you to leap onto the tower your in.

    The keep itself is fairly well lit. Each tower has a lantern, and there is a campfire going on the area Z4 and the ground beneath it.

    You first strike hits hard, but the brute acts like he doesn't even feel it. He charges forward, leaving himself vulnerable to your second attack which again connects. He looms over you, rage and adrenaline the only thing keeping him on his feet, and slams his greatclub down hard. The ensemble of onlookers cheer and jeer as his mighty attack connects, but do not fire into the fray and risk hitting their best bet at bringing you down.

    Ouch, this guy really hits hard.

    HP after DR and Fast healing:

    Now that he is dead, Vindariel falls back to outside the fort, to heal up for a few rounds.



    Vindariel has to clench his teeth to not cry out in pain. The brute knows how to hurt. But Vindariel knows it too and without much fanfare, he cuts the man's head off after his attack leaves him vulnerable.

    Immediately he began to move through the air towards the palisade to get into cover from the hail of arrows he could expect.

    You drop behind the wall. Without a walkway on the palisade, the bandits inside cannot reach you without sallying forth from the keep. You can safely bet that they'll be in position if you return tonight, however. For the moment, though, your safe from attack.
