    With a swing of your sword you put an end to the larger spriggan. As it drops to the floor, it reverts back to its smaller size.

    There was a few who you killed outside the building when you first dropped in from the sky. These guys were in the building on guard duty. There was just one other in this room, any you make short work of him as he had about 10hp left.

    Stepping into the hallway that rings the fort, you cut down the odd spriggan that you come across. In the first room you enter, you come face to face with a spriggan who seems much better equipped and trained than the others you have encountered.

    The spriggan tisks before saying something in gnome and drawing a crossbow.

    According to d20PFSRD they should be fey. But that's alright, gnomes are distant relatives of the fey, so maybe those are halfbreeds or something.

    Anyway, the usual Attack routine, this time combined with a psionic lion charge to gain a full attack at the end:

    Power Attack: (1d20)[9]+18, damage (5d6)[19]+26; if crit: (1d20)[10]+18, damage (5d6)[16]+26;

    Weird, the AP pdf defiantly has them stated as humanoids. That being said, I've come across more than 1 type in important parts of these books. Several 'dungeons' have had rooms labeled with duplicate numbers, and back in the first book one boss had a +1 to hit when he should have had a +10 or +11.

    So he takes an attack of opportunity

    You fry the spriggans and pursue the leader! Taking a turn, you find yourself back in the room with the ladder. Through the opening to the watch tower, you see him edging a barrel billowing fire towards the hole. It seems he plans on burning the whole place down!

    Vindariel makes sure, the building is empty, before following Agai outside, making sure that the little buggers didn't steel anything else.
    Once that is done, he turns to the remaining Spriggan: "By the powers invested in me through the Swordlords and the people of SoL: For the crime of attempted murder and arson, I hereby condemn you to death.
    Lay down on your belly, close your eyes and sleep."


    Once again, Vindariel conjures up the scythe made from radiant energy and beheads the creature in one swift motion.

    That done, Vindariel takes his time to search the stockade and the remaining buildings thoroughly for any more hints, taking his time to open doors and/or break them in his search.

    That done, collecting all remaining valuables, he returns through a well timed Psychoport back to Thorica for dinner.

    The fort is relatively barren, containing only a small armory of weapons sized for humans, though not spriggans in either of their sizes. You find a room with a well inside the fort. Looking inside, just above the water line is four potions of water breathing. Further investigation reveals a small underwater tunnel leading back into town.

    The ransacked goods don't seem to be stored within the fort. On Agai's person, however, is a plain looking (though quite heavy) cloth bag. An item you know to be a bag of holding. Turing it out, you find a huge amount of wealth in valuables, magic items and of course, gold and gems. Most of it you assume to have been looted from Varnhold in the previous days.

    A masterwork greatclub

    In the Bag of Holding is the following:

    an assortment of gems worth 3,500 gp,
    a magic longsword with the crest of House Varn on its pommel guard
    a wand
    a magic ring
    and an exquisite enchanted darkwood and ivory composite longbow (+4 Str).

    Give me a Knowledge (Arcana) to identify everything, and a knowledge (Nature) as well.

    Vindariel is intrigued by the bow. Since it seems as if the Centaurs are his next line of investigation, he keeps the bow with him.
    After resting and recuperating from once again reforming his very being, Vindariel returns to the colony, trying to find out in which direction the centaur tribes are likely to be found.

    Away from the mountains, to the plains is the direction you choose. Horses are creatures of the prairie, so why not centaurs as well? You head eastward, passing over large expanses of forested land that slowly thins to hilly grasslands uneventfully before finding something strange about the terrain. A number of strange furrows scar the grass in this area, disrupted here and there by sinkhole-like depressions and mounds of earth and soil.
