Blood Bowl II: Legendary Edition 50% Off this weekend

The GitP Blood Bowl Tournaments ran for several years and featured a host of wild and wonderful teams, coached by some of the most cunning and brutal minds in sports entertainment. Famous teams were renown for their violence and skill, and newer teams became firm fan favourites for their pluck and courage in the face of terrifying competition.

And then Blood Bowl 2 was launched, to divided fanfare; sure it was new and shiny, but it was also lacking 17 of the 24 teams of the old game, nearly all of the Star Players and huge amounts of features that we used to take to granted.

But weep no longer, sports fans! Blood Bowl 2: Legendary Edition (that is, the upgraded DLC which includes all 24 teams, ~50 Star Players and a huge selection of options and settings for the Leagues) is now 50% off on Steam! (Offer ends November 6th)

Anyone out there interested in some good old fashioned sports-violence? The Leagues died off when BB2 wasn't as complete as it was expected, but now there's every reason to return to the Gridiron!

Legendary Edition is not on sale for 50% off for me. Only the base Blood Bowl is 50% off. The Team pack is 70% off but you still need to get the Official expansion which is only 15% off if you want everything in the Legendary edition.

And this would be the reason I have not picked up this version of BB. Because it feels like the Devs are trying to nickel and dime you to death.

It's a shame Amazons aren't on any kind of sale (7 € for the best team in the game is pretty much pay-to-win) - but if there's going to be Blood Bowl in the Playground again you bet I'm there! I prefer BB:CE, of course, since I wouldn't have to pay extra to play Amazons on it. (Which means I'm rather on VexingFool's side on the issue, when it comes down to it...)
