Default The alignment of a good/evil Dvati pair?

Dvati are two bodies with one soul, or something like that. They also like to always get multiple perspectives on all problems. If one sees a boulder from below, the other wants to see it from above, as presented in the Dragon Compendium.

What if this is taken to an extreme? One is devoted to seeing things from a cosmically Lawful Good perspective, while another Chaotic Evil. (Really, if this is done for the purpose of perspective, then at most, the evil twin might be Neutral Evil. So maybe the evil twin got so invested in the perspective that they actually became like that?) This is not to say Chaotic Stupid, especially with another half to moderate stupid impulses, but still.

These are the same character though, and same soul. So they should ring the same on Detect {Alignment}. What are they?

If they have one soul I can't realistically see how they end up with two alignments. The different perspectives might change that soul over time, but it would still be one soul and thus one alignment.

The character's chaotic evil behaviour is purely to provide a sense of perspective and should be ignored. The character is lawful good.
The character's behaviour is a somewhat unorthodox way of doing good in the world, but is not completely chaotic. The character is neutral good.
The character's actions defy any communal sense of the right way to go about things in favour of a holistic view of what is right. The character is chaotic good.
The character is utterly devoted to their cause, and ignores conventional morality to do so. The character is lawful neutral.
The character is stuck between two opposite alignments. The character is true neutral.
The character is, like any character who cannot devote themself to another single alingment, chaotic neutral.
The character is utterly devoted to their cause, and tramples on other people's lives for their twisted purpose. The character is lawful evil.
The character is committing evil for evil's sake, without particular codes of honour or defiance thereof. The character is neutral evil.
The character is committing random, wilful acts of evil as part of a twisted experiment, and no amount of good action can alter that they have become a monstrosity. The character is chaotic evil.

Which of these arguments makes the most sense to you?

Dvati twin pairs are mechanically a single character, so they share a single alignment no matter what. The fact that they do attempt to see things from multiple perspectives probably makes Dvati lean towards neutral alignments in general, but whatever their alignment, however they try to see or interact with the universe, they do so with the same basic beliefs and sense of morality.

    wat

And yeah, a Dvati is one character. One alignment.
