Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
Both Rowan and Akaash's opening volleys failed to hit, while Riq and Malak get into position, malak once again sending out his sphere of luck. Meanwhile, Goma retrieves one of the potions that Undella brewed a few months back and grows to double his normal size. The Water Prince takes the opportunity to rush forward and grab a handful of loose dirt and blind the nearest hyenadon, causing it to rear with enough force as to knock off its rider as it desperately tries to clear its vision. [[It is blinded for 2 rounds and entangled for 1 round]]
The displaced rider spends his turn getting back on his mount, who blindly swipes at Rafiq to no avail. As for its compatriots, one arced past Goma and attacked Akaash for 13 damage. Thankfully he was able to keep his feet and the gnoll atop it slashed assuming it would hit, so he was saved further damage. The other rushes Goma directly, but he just barely manages to get his shield up in time to stop the charge.

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
Rowan sent a gout just past Akaash's head, searing the giant hyena. This was not helped by Akaash literally fanning the flames, the beast now crumpled on the ground. This sent its rider flying, right into Goma's waiting shield. Let's just say it has seen better days. Meanwhile, the Water Prince viciously slashed at the hindered hydradon, doing 23 damage to it. He then moved into flanking position with Goma.
Upon seeing their comrade fall, the two remaining riders decided to turn tail. The one nearest Goma ended up taking massive damage between him and the Water Prince, but not enough to fell it. It took its rider near the stairs leading down, but it took the rider a bit to get out of the saddle. The still blinded one didn't get as far, but still is heading out.

To keep himself vaguely relevant, Khwaja Malak he seeks to help any "shooters" by moving into and just forward of them.
Knowing that the blinded gnoll will be easier to take down for the others, Rafe chases down the farther gnoll to run him through.
SpoilerKhwaja Malak
MA: Keep greater serendipity.
MA: I am not going to try to describe K-M's movement. Just move him 30' so that he is in the midst of his fellows and slightly ahead, but not so as to create cover for the enemies. Basically, he's trying to give a bonus to any of the party "shooters" since he doesn't have the speed to cover the ground and keep up his aura.
Rafe
FAA: Charge the gnoll to the west, NOT the closest gnoll to the south. So as to not to provoke an AOO from the southern hyaenodon, he will adjust his track slightly north of his target (the gnoll to the west). He should be one square north of the gnoll on attack. Spend 1 guile on the attack roll for a +1 to hit, +2 to charging, -2 AC (charging).
Charge: (1d20+12)[15], damage (1d6+5)[11]
Invariably, the gnoll (if not dropped) will provoke an AOO, so (1d20+10)[11], damage (1d6+5)[11]

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
Malak moves into position while Rowan blasts the far hyenadon with a gout of fire, dropping it. Goma rushes the unmounted gnoll, but fails to connect. Thankfully, Rafiq does the job for him, though he stayed on his feet. Riq charges in and fells the rider while Akaash takes out the beast.
All is not well, however, as the last gnoll escapes both Goma and Rafiq's clutches and begins to run down the stairs. As it stands, only Rafiq has a chance of catching him as he's halfway down the stairs, but it will take two Acrobatics checks to do so; a DC 20 one to get over the lip of the stairwell and a DC 25 to keep your feet well enough to avoid damage and not lose your action getting up. Assuming that you make these checks, you can make it in a move action.

Re: Legacy of Fire SoP/PoW/SoM Edition II: Electric Boogaloo
The Water Prince flips down and slashes the final gnoll, felling it instantly. Heading back up, the party sees that there are five ways out of this chamber.
The first is the way out is up the stairs they came, though that would bring them out, obviously.
The second is the stairs down that Rafiq just came back from, but that would risk letting things from this level sandwitch you if you need to retreat.
The third is the crumbled wall to the south, but the gaps are really small; it'd take a DC 25 Escape Artist to squeeze in.
Fourth is to the north, though there are a a few broken walls in the way.
And finally there is a passage to the east in between two pillars.

Rowan does his best to clean up the others with a few cantrips, letting his concentration on Goma's haste fade during the break, and upon hearing Goma's suggestion for giving the Khwaja time to rest he chuckles and says, "I suppose one benefit of being demon blooded is that tossing about flames feels more refreshing than draining, but I suppose the Kwaja's ability to tug at the strings of fate is a more exhausting practice."
