How to keep hard candies from sticking together while on display?
So with the season of candy and nut dishes coming quick... I'm faced with a dilemma. While I've found a place selling beautiful and tasty "cut rock"(or just rock candy, to you UK folks)... thanks to living in Western Washington, the air is always humid. Any advice for keeping some in a nice candy dish without it fusing into a brick?

You may want to try applying a light dusting of corn starch, off the top of my head. As long as it's in a cool environment, I think it'll decrease stickiness rather than increasing it.

Is corn starch what they use? I was about to ask if they don't put a natural wax on or something.
I know I've seen it on one of those "how stuff is made" shows when they ran the candy in a big tumbler with something.

I'm almost certain that corn starch is used to cover some types of Turkish Delights and make them less sticky, so that suggestion might be grounded in reality.

Is there anything corn starch can't do? I was going to suggest that as well, but it looks like you've all got it covered.

Dish out mini dishes inside the dish.
"Sons of Gondor! Of Rohan! My brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me! A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the age of Men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you stand! Men of the West!" -Aragorn, Lord of the Rings

Eat it quickly.
You need a couple of young children in the house.
