Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Wowee. I actually managed to get that post out. It was a little rough, between the forums eating my posts or not being up... and the formatting. Crap ton of formatting. Took me about 2 days to finally hammer this thing out. BUT ITS DONE, WEEE
I did group 1 first, since they have more going on. But ill get to group 2 next so we can press forward.
We're nearing the end of the tutorial now, it was assumed both groups read between both parties. If you didn't, you probably missed some important bits the thing was designed to pass along. (Like how wonky stuff can get). But in any case, we're still pressing forward just the same.
Edit:
If you decide to read and reply to the combat log, don't spoil the result for everyone elseLast edited by Mornings; 2020-01-24 at 01:00 AM.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
We thank you for your perseverance
Edit 1: I've been told to make a guess. All that explaining is gonna make me guess... let's say 300? Also, I think I'm gonna have to reread this a couple times, because I'm not quite sure what just happened
Edit 2:
Spoiler: After I lookedJesus Christ on a bike
I was originally gonna say 500, then decided that was too high. Turns out I was off by 4 orders of magnitude.
AND IT'S NOT EVEN FAWKING DEAD
Edit 3: you know, I suppose my guess was really low. I've played a level 30 Tristalt before, and he could do a few thousand in a turn. Although he was also using some really crazy homebrew that let him make 48 attacks a turn(jesus, I only ever got to roll one round for the guy, and I never wanted to do it again). I guess when you started using level 100 penstalt as a comparison, maybe I should've aimed higher

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
hmmm, well thats something fun and cool... Time to play the guessing game... I have seen some crazy stuff, and forcing a collapse is pretty crazy.
Spoiler: now for my guess as to the amount of damageJust by knowing and having seen some of the **** possible I am going to say that at the low end it was probably something like 500,000 dmg due to the fact that it is a combo and probably has some multipliers tossed in to like double or triple damage dealt... though no surprise if its higher than that since I havent seen what high end potentials can do.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Do Collapses have any typical traits? Like the one that Kaslin caused seems to have only eaten part of the sector, and was quite quick about it, compared to the red void that slowly munched it's way through the whole room. Are they always that different?
Also, asking preemptively: if Kazik loses actions and can't move, can I drag him with me?

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Question!
So, at first I though that his potential increased his "hit dice by two," but reading the post again a month later, I realize the text of his potential actually reads "Hit die increases by two." Since Kazik already uses a d12, does this have no effect on him, does he step up two classes of existing dice [d12 to d20 to d100], or does he step up two imaginary dice (d12 to d14 to d16)?

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
That's what I thought at first, but rereading it as "hit die" implies singular, further implying an increase to the die itself rather than the volume of them. It could also just be a typo. :P
If it is an increase to the number of HD, does that mean Kazik also now counts as a sixth level character for the purposes of effects based on HD?

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
this is intended to increase the number of HD. and yes, for the purpose of HD, you would be considered to have 6/or be a 6th level character for the purpose of HD specific effects. you gain the benefits from this normally, as if you had leveled, adding con, etc (but not fcb) to your new hit point total.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
I just remembered that 'Doubt' condition, so i guess I should roll that percentile dice :p
sub 15 is failure
(1d100)[1] Move
(1d100)[96] Draw weapon
(1d100)[8] Use new corruption sense
well that's both of my move actions so i guess i'm not going anywhere or doing anything useful this round
edit: unless erik wants to drag him :pLast edited by Chromascope3D; 2020-02-23 at 09:15 PM.

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Alright, I'll make a Drag attempt on Kazik. I don't know how far it'll get us, but some distance is better than no distance, I suppose. I think I take a -2 on it from Shaken.
Drag:
(1d20+5)[10]
Also my saving throw:
(1d20+13)[31]
Edit: Yeah that's not getting us anywhere

Re: (OOC) The Primeval Dark
Ancient, avoid quoting previous posts IC, it ruins formatting on the thread and looks super ugly.

I'll have an update for g1 out by the end of the week. Gotten delayed by other things I've had to work on.
