Cuthalion's art is the prettiest art of all the art. Like my avatar.

Plus, you know, I trust myself even more when they're less of all those others around. Speeding down a deserted bendy road is easy, running a bendy road at the speed limit when there could be a bus coming the other way is way more dangerous. (Comparatively, it's not like I ram a bus every time I go driving. I'm not a Eurotruck Simulator 2 NPC.)

Re: Why do people clap and cheer during a performance at a concert?
I read somewhere that in ancient Greece, people would applaud to drown out the speaker.
The point was to get them off stage.
Then I guess we all started clapping whenever someone got off stage, and it evolved into what it is today.

Re: Why do people clap and cheer during a performance at a concert?
I did this once.
I was paid volunteering at a small local event which was running on schedule until it was the turn of an improvised dance group. And when I say group I think it was actually one person sitting down sprouting "deep" sentences and maybe playing a tambourine or something and one person walking around in a dance like fashion. It was flat out boring to watch compared to the other acts like the six year old ballet dancers and the local orchestra. It also ran way over time, because they hadn't prepared anything (which is the point of improvising of course) and just kept doing their thing. So at some point I decided to try and help them find a good moment to end the performance by applauding loudly. It didn't work.Last edited by Lvl 2 Expert; 2018-01-25 at 02:05 AM.
