Even though he's wide open, she doesn't manage to finish him off. The man steps backward, aware of how close he was cutting it. "Whoa. Hold on now! I didn't sign up for a fight!"

Rose puts her sword to the man's throat. "Where is Stalkheart?"

The man gulps and puts his hands up. "Okay, okay! You win, don't kill us!"

He nods to the south. "There's a tunnel that we dug, hidden behind some leaves back there. If you follow it, you'll reach the hideout."

Their guards are down...Torchwick said don't leave any trace. They've seen her face...

[Diachronos]

"Thank you." Rose smiles, before dragging her blade across his throat, slicing it open. She moves to the next man, intending to do the same to him.

[NeoSeraphi]

The men try to fight back but Rose surprises them all and they are swiftly cut down by her blades. The caravan is mostly full, so the pushers thank Rose and move on.

Rose looks around and finds the hidden door after a while. She enters the tunnel and starts her trek.

At the back of the tunnel, she finds a large open room with three people in it. A pair of guards, and a woman sitting at a table.

Rose creeps across the room toward the far end of the cavern, keeping low and in the shadows. Stalkheart is likely behind the next door.

The devil girl's eyes follow Rose the entire time, but she says nothing to the guards. When Rose looks closer, she realizes the woman is chained to the table. She's wearing a pair of silver handcuffs that look very uncomfortable. Maybe Rose should free her?

Upon seeing that the woman is restrained, Rose starts moving toward the table, keeping to where she's out of the men's line of sight. When she's close enough, she lunges for the throat of one of the men.

Catching the man off-guard is enough to deliver a serious blow to him. The first man collapses, not dead but unconscious.

The second man turns to her and opens his mouth to sound an alarm.

Rose grabs one of her tanglefoot bags and throws it at the man's face.

He dodges and runs for the door. The woman jerks her chains and looks at Selene hurriedly. "Cut these off, I'll stop him!"

Seeing no other options right now, Rose draws her swords and brings them down as hard as she can onto the cuffs.

[NeoSeraphi]

The woman yanks her chains as Rose strikes them, and the combined force snaps them off.

The woman spreads her wings and flies over to the door, knocking the other man out in one blow.

She relaxes herself and drops down to the floor. Turning back to Rose, she smiles. "Phew! Feels good to finally have those cuffs off. I owe you one, really. Who...are you, anyway?"

"My name is Rose. And you are?"

[NeoSeraphi]

"My name is Verimia. I was called to this plane to do a powerful summoner's bidding, but the charm that bound me to him was stolen and brought here. Now I can't leave until I get the charm off the boss."

[Diachronos]

"You mean Stalkheart? Well, I'm here to eliminate him myself, so I can help you with getting that charm back. What does it look like?"

[NeoSeraphi]

The devil snaps her fingers and a small illusion appears in her hand. It appears to be some kind of tiny red jewel, the size of a stud that might go in your ear.

[Diachronos]

They couldn't make the charm something easy to spot, could they... She nods and moves toward the door, cautiously testing it to see if it was locked.

[NeoSeraphi]

The door is not locked, but it is heavy. Rose can open it, but it will make some noise when she does so.

[Diachronos]

Since Rose can't open the door without making noise, she takes a minute to prepare before pushing the door open.

Casting shield of faith and invisibility, and using her Execution Inquisition ability to designate Stalkheart as her chosen victim, before opening the door

The door swings open and two guards stand up and enter the room, looking surprised to see no one there. Verimia sits, invisible, beside Rose, and waits to see what she will do.

Rose looks past the men, trying to spot Stalkheart and getting ready to move if they try to leave the room.

She sees Stalkheart sitting at a desk, looking concerned. He's about sixty feet away from her.

Rose waits to see what the men will do. If she can get them to leave the room, she can go in and try taking out Stalkheart more easily.

The two men look around for a moment and then Verimia appears behind them. She grabs both men at once and shoves them down. "Rose, get him!"

[Diachronos]

Rose enters the room and approaches Stalkheart with her swords drawn. She moves up to strike at him while she's still invisible.
