    Tazur chuckles as he hears that Meraxen challenges Quid. He then says "Heh. Good luck pal, you'll need it even against a suppressed Quid. He's not like us, there's a reason he's considered the most powerful DDC member. The Kui Clan is nothing to scoff at, he's a Genius even for his clan."

    Tazur then signals the group to follow as he stretches his hand and Chin Lun Gaar holds on, giving out the other one to your direction.

    Back with Quid-Kui

    Quid-Kui's poker face remains but almost leaves for a split second as you see a smile almost crack. "Meraxen, I have seen you. You're a caster, there is a reason I am called the Copy-Caster, but I have another title. The Anti-Caster."

    As you cross through the portal

    Quid stands 30ft away from you and sits down in a meditation pose. He then closes his eyes and tells you.
    "This should be close enough for you to charge against me. I'll let you start as courtesy, after all you did help me about an hour ago. Of course, I could have done it alone, that mission was just a test to see if you were fit to be invited to this meeting."

    Quid opens one eye, you see as it changes. It's glowing red, vivid red and has 4 pupils. One at the center and 3 further outside. They are where the vertices of a triangle would be should the center pupil be it's center. More than pupils they look like a comma with the tail pointing outwards. What had become a faint outline over a regular eye has now become his complete eye.

    "Begin."

    Meraxen looks a little unsure walking into the arena but quickly gets his game face on and stands ready. As Quid-Kui calls out, Meraxen's arms stretch inhumanly long and sprout wicked-looking claws. With a blinding flash, Meraxen flies directly above Quid, hangin there for a split second.

    "Cast this!"

    Then Meraxen zooms straight downward in a dangerous dive attack, recklessly swinging away with his shield with two hands.

    OOC: Problems with my computer, sorry for updating late.

    Quid in an instant stands up and keeps his hands behind his back. He effortlessly dodges your attacks and you're pretty sure he did a backflip when dodging one of your blows but you couldn't see it well enough to be sure.

    He immediately touches his hands together and does some weird hand signs, recognizably an Arcane spell, you believe it to be a Quickened True Strike and follows it by some other hand signs which you believe are from a Divine spell but are not sure which one. As he casts that second spell he touches you and your body starts to feel heavier, after an instant you notice you can't breathe either as your lungs seem to have been filled with something.

    You may roll a fortitude save to attempt to free up your lungs but it requires a Full-Round action to attempt it. Roll constitution checks against suffocation every round until you get rid of it.

    No matter how hard you try, it's too much. You remain with sand to your lungs and can't remove any of it.

    Quid stays looking at you bored as if you two weren't fighting. In a speed you could not even follow he seemingly cast a disintegrate and hits your Iridescent Ioun Stone, destroying it.

    As you attack him. Again, he does a matrix dodge and your attacks miss.

    Quid looks distracted from his fight as he seemingly is holding off Meraxen with what seems like no effort at this point. He looks over at Nina through the gate and says. "You're late. But it seems like you accepted the invitation. So what is going on is that the final test to join the organization is through combat. Pick one of the members who have not fought yet and start your fight or spectate and then start. If you win or tie with them, you are allowed in, of course whoever fights will be fighting with their power suppressed.

    As of the moment the ones left are the Soul of the Frost, who is the icicle man over there. The Phantom, who is the changeling next to him. And finally, The Puppet Master who is but isn't the Quartz Dragon right there."


    As you see Quid talking to you during his fight, his eyes start to glow brighter red than when he started talking.

    The only puppet mistress allowed here is me! She argues pulling out a puppet out of her bag, and then throwing it to the ground. I'll pick you back up in a minute mini-Damien.

    The Quartz Dragon seems unfazed and doesn't move at all. Then a gleaming ball of light comes out of it's mouth. This ball of light, seemingly a Will O' Wisp says "And what will you do about that fangs? Fight me?"

    Edit: From the mindsight.
    You sense the obvious Quartz Dragon in front of you with an intelligence score of 13 and being a construct. The ball of light in front of you is an aberration with an intelligence score of 28 and you sense 2 other aberrations inside the dragon's mouth with an intelligence score of 15.

    Beside him you sense the Phantom having an intelligence score of 23 Humanoid, and Soul of the frost one of 19 as an elemental. As you extend your Mindisght to Quid, you sense an intelligence of 49 and detect he is a Dragon.

    Nina sighs as she rolls back her head. I would, but the rest of my troupe isn't here. Said something about showing up when dramatically appropriate. I swear I'd be worried about a backstab, but the only one that I know even could is still devoted to me.

    As you observe, the air holds still. The only thing going on that you can see or hear being the floor and the combat between Quid and Meraxen.

    Suddenly, your Mindsight pings something behind you.

    You feel a sharp sting in your back. You feel as the cold metal of a blade punctures with surgical precision right through the heart. You hear a small whisper from behind that says "What now?". Suddenly the pain disappears and you no longer sense him. You feel like you are about to collapse into a cloud. You are left with 1 HP.

    OOC: Meraxen does this regardless of whether Quid's Disintegrate goes through.

    With a growl and a look of frustration on his face, Meraxen once again takes to the air, directly above Quid. He charges down again, but instead of swinging a weapon this time, he simply attempts to ram Quid into the ground.

    With Nina:
    Nothing is in sight or going on nearby, the process of summoning your children seems to be a small break of being attacked but the pain in your wound lingers.

    With Meraxen:
    Quid gets pushed down to the floor by Meraxen, noticeably about to hit the ground hard. As he gets smashed hard, the floor seems to crack below him as a small crater is formed. Quid starts to spit blood and says "My turn."

    As he says that his eyes glow bright and for a second you feel heat come directly from them. In a flash a black flame comes out of his eyes in 4 rays, all hitting you right across the chest. They all burn with heat you could have never imagined and the flame has an inherent evil you can feel burn onto you. 1392 damage total, 1/2 is Vile damage.

    As the flame goes out, his eyes go back to being normal eyes.
