Can you help me??
Hello fine and wise folks of the forum! I find myself in need of help -- help that you just may be able to provide.
I am involved in a trivia contest that will be running in February. Prior to trivia time, each team is given a packet of images. They might be from computer game manuals, online game icons, album liner notes, magazine ads, billboards, restaurant kids' menus, .... There will be questions about these image, though we don't know what, exactly, those questions might be. So, we have to find out everything we can about them.
If you, or someone you know, has any knowledge of the images in the spoiler below, please, please, please send me a message here to let me know. Your help in this matter will result in much appreciation. And, maybe, some internet cookies. ('Cause everyone loves cookies!)

Re: Can you help me??
I have tried. Google found some (which I left out of this thread). Tineye hasn't been any help so far. Neither has Bing and...uhmm...some russian reverse image site that I found awhile back. The question writers for this contest have gotten wise to these tricks and have made the images reverse-lookup-prooof. Grrr!!

Re: Can you help me??
It does, doesn't it? Freaky looking man in his later years. But this pic does hold striking similarity to his younger self. I just wish I could find the exact image somewhere.
Of course, if past experience is any indication, the fact that it looks like Charles Manson is probably a good reason to believe that it's actually an early college photo of Mister Rodgers or something.

Re: Can you help me??
#20 looks like a suggestion for Mt. Rushmore of Rock/Pop Music. Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon and someone I cannot identify for sure. Possibly Johnny Cash?

Re: Can you help me??
I believe the one on the far right would be Buddy Holly. I am uncertain the second from the left is Jimi Hendrix, but he does seem to come up during these suggestions for a "Mount Rushmore of Rock" or similar. Being airbrushed on the side of a bus (or possibly an RV), however, might be the more significant clue about it. This might be a specific vehicle.
There's also the history of the process of the renaming of The Six Grandfathers and subsequent carving into Mount Rushmore to consider.

Re: Can you help me??
The one with sheet music annoy me. I'm completley tone deaf, but by showing that, and how it's only a small number of notes, I suspect that means it should be something recognizeable. Have you shown it to someone who can read sheet music or play it?

Re: Can you help me??
I have, in fact. I've shown it to a few professional musicians (and a professional musician in training.) They all say that it's just...weird. It seems almost nonsensical. Like some musical version of Lorem Ipsum or something.
Of course, that being said, it's pretty short. And maybe it's not the melody. Maybe it's a harmony line for something else? Who knows?
No, seriously. Who knows?!? I want to know, too.

Re: Can you help me??
Visual #8 looks so 1980s. Two silhouettes of guys eating ice cream and two with cookies, but the one on the left has a small lunchbox? And they're sitting by the sort of planters you might find around a shopping mall food court, but there's that desk in the background. Something is on it, and I can't tell if it's supposed to be an oversized bell to ring to ask for help, or a display stand. The desk doesn't look like it belongs in a mall, but maybe a hotel lobby. Anyway, if the subjects pictured were in a food court, I would expect them to have chairs.
Why is this picture a trapezoid? Is it part of a series? I want there to be a reason other than the '80s. I could forgive the squares more if the image was also square. I wouldn't be surprised if this was an album cover, but the food makes me think it's taken from a place.
I thought that Visual #6 might be a patch originally, but there's that hole towards the bottom, right above "Save-A-Pack." The design of the can is also interesting. I found this ebay auction of one like it, and on the back it reads "Suppliers of Metal Polish to the Late King George VI." George VI died in 1952, and this site claims there was a period during World War II when a glass bottle was used instead, so that might narrow the range of the design pictured.Last edited by KillingAScarab; 2018-02-13 at 09:14 AM.

#14 looks like something you'd see on a dentist's poster and in fact is nearly identical to a stock photo you can find by searching 'tooth flooding itself '.
