He continued listening in. How interesting. Mekrashin might have actually been very helpful in terms of weakening the enemies, by just LIVING. Even if it's marginal, it's still helpful, and this Mekrashin seemed harmless. At least mostly harmless, and he could be negotiated with.

Then there was the question of aiming, how dangerous could such an enemy be if something as basic as aiming was considered a legendary skill?

"If I were to roughly say which people ARE Top Ten on the planet, at least fighter wise, I'd say Oxyribo and Pokasuu are probably the topmost, Masala is just below them all because three of them simply because of their natural advantages making them near unkillable, but Masala not having a super form putting her below them. Under those it becomes little more ambiguous: the Refera Androids, my mother Luxana and Yankar are combat specialists but generalists like Starlight and Max Banders have a lot of tricks up their sleeve in addition to super forms, so the former are probably stronger but I wouldn't count out the latter, there is my father Shanakan and Arkea who exploits a few special tricks as much as they can to be stronger than they seem, and then there are people like Vodkana, Katnep and Mekrashin whose powers are supposed to be great but we don't know their full potential yet, so they're wildcards, especially given their questionable decision-making which actually holds them back."
She wasn't going to count Pages. Their future was too uncertain. While Apfel was technically not on the planet right now.

Meraxes, he wanted ta try makin' zones an' planetz dat everywun agrees upon where orkz can fight an' whatnot so dat if anywun wantz ta have a good time, dey just go dere and fight, see? Cause he loiked that variety of allyunz to fight but didn' loik da inconvenience of goin' to people himself and da unreliability o' conquest so he thought, why not make warfrontz da everyone knowz where da orkz are and everywun just stayz dere and it can be jus' an eternal battleground. fun timez fer all.

Deatheye, he didn't loik dat, cause he wantz to constantly get strongah and grow, and ta do dat, he needz to get as much orkz as he can and thus conquer as many planetz as possible. Moar orkz, da strongah ya Waaaaagh, da greatah da Waaaagh energy, and da more foez ya can defeat, so da bigger ya get as an ork yeself. so he tinks dat if da orkz be strong 'nuff unda one big Waaaagh dey can just go anywherez and take anywun ta fight forevah, see? its expo-nencha. Eventually in theoreh, ya get as strong as Gork n' Mork, da ork godz doin' dis. Datz why e's after me WAAAAAAGH Engine, it can help wit dat, maybe even allow me to do it wiffout needin' da WAAAAAGH around me, see? all da benefits, none of da inconvenience of leadin' a big waaaaagh."

"And yeah, it's weird not having anybody around who knows about Majins. About five years ago some guy from another anochronistic iron age kindom came over to negociate a trade deal with Buggy and offered to 'buy the exotic slime girl to be part of my harem' and I'm all like 'bitch, even if I was interested I literally don't have the parts for that.' Then I kicked his ass... That trade deal fell through."

"Ah hell, back when I met them, your Mommies ahd the weirdest" idea s about... Poka starts counting on her fingers, growing more to count higher, "a lot of greats Grandpa Buu. I never did tell them about the witch and devil girl I absorbed becuase I figured that they'd frea out and think I was gonna eat them or something--By the way, Starlight," Poka says, spinning to turn to the pony, "Barbara the Devil Girl really likes your mane."

This will, or course, be the first time that anyone present other than Maybe Oxy has heared about this.

Poka conjures a clear crystal ball roughly the size of a fist and tosses it to Oxy, who catches it. He then looks into it, before instant transmitting away.

(Mind if I have him get most of the dragon balls off-screen before popping in where Shanakahn is for the last one? Incidentally, I'm imagining that Oxy neverdid unlock a proper Super Form if he's got Divine Ki all the time.)

"Well then you know more majin culture than me then, Uncle Buu just made me as thanks for first-moms redeeming him, I grew up in a post-apocalyptic Earth where what Majins that did get made were still rare compared to the humans that were left, then I kind of came back to this timeline in a time machine sort of by accident, had some adventures and met current moms who are different from first moms, all when I was 12. And you got two people to let you absorb them permanently? Lucky! How'd you manage that? I'd be happy just having even temporary absorption buddies for a big battle I need the boost in, but my moms are creeped out by the idea and say they want their first fusion to be with each other anyways, even though they haven't done that yet for some reason? Hm. Hey Pinappla, do you think you'd be fine with being a temporary absorption buddy sometime?"
Pinappla blushes at this.
"Wha- but uh......maybe?? this conversation just started and I'm already confused. "
Jade just opens her mouth at the information that Poka has successfully absorbed people then closes it. Thinking about it, she trusts Oxyribo would put a stop to it if it was anything bad, its been ten years, they've all grown up at least a little, best not to start anything. It wasn't her place to judge Oxy's ways after seeing the so many different lifestyles and cultures across the galaxy.
"Don't worry you'll just temporarily become apart of me and we can fight together as one against a greater foe then I'll spit you out when you want out again. Think of it like a fusion but I'm the domme."
"....Ooookaaaay? I won't say its not interesting, but I'm not how to feel about it yet..."

you finally get to him and he seems to sitting in a meditative position expectantly. He had foreseen this, and is holding the five-star Dragon Ball.
"Hello Oxyribo. It is good to see you once again....I apologize. I am not going to let you have this Dragon Ball. I am not trying to prevent you from getting immortality- if that is what you wish, you can have it, I'm too afraid to check what future lies in eternity for you, you can find out yourself. I am simply working against Kurumo. While he can't do it himself, he is lying in wait for you to try to summon the dragon for him. He might act to try and gain immortality himself. Thing is, preventing the summoning is also within his plans. He is smart enough to set up situations where he benefits either way.

More than that, I've seen the future if he manages to win- it WILL be an objective improvement for the universe on a statistical cosmic scale if he rules. He has a long term plan, based on methods that worked with other universes to improve this one. The problem is the lives lost in the process. This entire plan and incident thats being carried out right now- all of this is just positioning, getting into the right position for him to change everything with his real plan, and he sees all our lives as grains of sand to be sacrificed to save the entire desert in his eyes. Planets and lives upon them are as coin to him, to be spent as he decides is necessary."
He narrows his eyes.
"He almost killed my daughter for such utilitarianism. My attachment to her....was nothing but one more piece to move to him, to try take out a seer who could possibly stand against him."
He tenses up at the thought and speaks with a noted undertone of anger on his normally stoic features
"I cannot let him become undefeatable. He will answer for his crime against me. When the time is right. When he is finally vulnerable. He is one who likes to be in control, such is his nature that he thinks himself the Iron Hand of Fate, guiding all things to the conclusion he desires destined. He will see....that our fate is to be chosen for ourselves. For if we are so statistically insignificant as to be sacrificed to be saved- why sacrifice us at all? The plan that will improve the universe....if implemented as divine policy, will work whether we live or die. It is our lives and of the ones we love, those he plans to sacrifice for his cause that are at stake. He will pay for raising my ire, I promise you that."

Well, if you're anything like me she'll still be awake inside you if she's willing, unless she decides to sleep, so there's that... As for how I did it, well, it was more that they convinced me: BAsically there was this old witch who gave up her name for power who was in constant pain and really sick becuase she screwed up a magical ritual to make herself immortal: Her mind stayed perfectly healthy and she was physically incapable of dying but she could still get hurt or sick or older." IE, the effects of one Wish for Immortality if Oxy modifies how the Balls Interpret Immortality to safeguard himself from mental rewriting and prevent their enemies from becoming physically invulnerable via trickery or his Dragon Balls "She also used her magic selfishly when she was 'young and stupid' and came to regret that in her old age. Basically she worked some magic to call me to her and absorb her to simultaniously end her pain and give her powers to someone who'd use them for good as a form of penance for her selfishness and stupidity. As for Barbara, she was like, kicked out of the Dark Demon Realm ofor being too nice. She was kind of the wtch's familiar and after I absorbed the Witch she didn't have anywhere to go and even when the witch was at her worst she was always kind to Barbara so Barbara chose to stay with her mistress. The Witch mostly just sleeps becuase she was in too much pain to sleep for the last couple of centuries and wants to rest but Barbara talks to me a lot. She also told me recently that I'd inherit any demon transformations she underwent so I've got a way to become a God if I ever want to be one but I've got no idea how the HFIL I'm supposed to get that much Killi from that many people or what the Killi to PL conversion rate is."

"You know, funny story: When I first became a God, I was visited from a batlike God who told me that he was the God whose job was to murder Gods who did "**** like that" without a good reason and/or instead of their jobs. Something about deities forgetting that, for all their power, their job is basically to protect and serve mortals. The Emperor listened. So this Ork was not only proficient at aiming, but could do so to extreme degrees, possibly even be a match for him, whose speciality was precision and accuracy. That might be interesting. For the rest, it did not look good for them, as the Imperial strategy amounted to Arcosian Homeworlders exploding their ships before they could even reach the planet. What survivors aren't killed in the explosion would be killed in the vacuum of space. Presumably. Their ships would be helpless, as although he anticipated they'd be bristling with weapons, he was almost certain they would be equipped for ship-to-ship conventional warfare, and would thus be helpless against relatively tiny, nimble targets who individually possess firepower in excess of what is necessary to wipe out life on a planet.

Though through the threads of reality that branched out before his eyes, Apfel was noticing that they were being moved. Shaken. Branches and intersections minutes, hours, even days in the future that might have been, now shifted. Coalescing around a few figures he had never seen before. On Earth. Someone or something was trying to change their fate. How ridiculous.

For example: I've foreseen what would happen if Jade and Beryl were to attack him: he has a Sheep Art fate technique that can instantly destroy clothing and would be a hard counter to their Cosplay forms. They would not be able to beat him. Mostly this works because the signs governs things that relate to it physically, figuratively or metaphorically, and Sheep is inherently related to threads. I have no idea what he could do with the Dragon fate Art though.....fate arts can be strange and roundabout things at the best of times though, so I highly doubt that its anything as straightforward or simple as making a wish-granting dragon do whatever he wanted, if he could do that or something similar to that, he would've won a long time ago.

Like, he could probably do something that is within or of the fate of dragons like bind somebody to be imprisoned with seven similar looking objects and do three tasks within their power to whoever finds those objects and summons them once a year or breathe some strange fire or make seven attacks or to fix what others break or something like that, but nothing that would just allow him to win instantly. It has to adhere to arcane fate archetypes and whatnot that don't follow anything resembling the logical thought of mortals."
He looks up.
Oh, Apfel is contacting me. You've never actually met him have you? Worry not. He helped with Hailing. particularly with the ruling the galaxy part afterwards. Is on his way to dissolving the central government soon, because anyone ruling the galaxy from a centralized location is bad really."
He thinks
Oh Hello Apfel. I am Shanakan. Have we met before? And would you like to be telepathically connected to Oxyribo? I have been speaking of important matters regarding Kurumo with him, particularly of his plans to try and intercept the Dragon Balls to try and make a wish for himself. Also I don't think you've met him.

Oxy isn't sure that he should mention the "two wishes for immortality/defualt to mental immortallity if you don't specify" thing he's been considering as a protective measure against Solicitus and against the Balls being misused. Kurumo is either spying or can see the future. The more Oxy says it ut loud, the more likily the little sociopath is to learn about it and plan around it... Maybe he should see about a few contingencies in case the man does become properly immortal. Like the Mafuba. Or that Dead Zone thing he remembers Jade mentioning a couple of times but that doesn't seem to fit at all in the history he was taught.

It may very well be that their hierarchy was based on bullying and brute-force. With lack of information to the contrary, leadership was based on brute strength and some measure of cunning rather than skill. It may be that without a 'warboss' to fear, subordinates will fall into infighting to see who is the strongest and therefore worthy of leadership, leaving the remnants easy pickins to the Arcosians. Still, these warbosses shouldn't be underestimated.

I couldn't help but see you three gentlemen having a conversation about me. Given that I'm pretty involved, I would think it only polite of me to inform you that I have Traube and Dishana, Apfel's deceased wife and Vodkana's still living mother respectively in my custody. I hold their lives or in Traube's case her soul, in my hands. Worry not. Where they are, they are out of Solituses reach, and are safe and treated well. And unlike him, I am not unreasonable. I only want what is best for this Universe. Perhaps we can work something out, to make sure this does not end in violence.

Oh don't be illogical. Former Supreme Kai Shin, along with Beerus are arguably the cause of all this Universes problems. Beerus for his trigger-happy ways, destroying valuable planets and lives for petty reasons, Shin for his lack of doing anything due to his inability to overcome his trauma, depression and thus his own self-doubts. I tried to help him, I really did. For Five. Million. Years. Nothing worked. Nothing EVER worked! The Universe is in disarray, and if planets keep being destroyed like this at the rate civilization is expanding, there won't be enough space to accommodate civilization. Extreme yes. But are you really any different? Did you not overthrow Hailing for the same reasons? I mean, what are you going to do if you get rid of me along with Solitus, put SHIN back on top? Try to get those apprentice kais to start fixing things? He's stagnated. For a time longer than any of you have been alive. He had five million years to fix things, its time I took charge.

You are sadly mistaken. My duty is to guide mortals to improve their lives. If a race of barbarians kill each other in a war that teaches war is bad and thus becomes better for it, that is a successful guidance in action. Death itself is not something we hold as intrinsically positive or negative. Its the God of Destruction that is supposed to punish evildoers and protect the world from great threats like Hailing, Trombone and Buu. To weed out races that would spread out of control and make life worse for everyone and whatnot. Furthermore- I cannot have empathy for mortals. I would outlive any friend I make, and see their soul drift off into reincarnation long after that, much like ants. or dogs. It is a mortals job to be free, to live as you please, not mine. I have a higher duty, to the Universe. Weighed in comparison, all else is grains of sand.

My offer is this: I will spare and give you their lives if we can work out a deal. I am open to taking out Solitus, I have little to no further need of him. I can shift the odds in your favor against the Orks, I can teach the apprentice kais better than Shin, I can implement policies and plans that Shin cannot, you can even keep Shin alive, but perhaps give him a job that isn't ruling the Universe because he clearly can't do that. I only want necessary sacrifices after all, and we can work something out, avoid so much costly decisions and I would no need to do all this convoluted nonsense just to get into position to change things for the better. All I ask in return is that I have a reasonable God of Destruction and to not be betrayed.

Tell me, Kuromo... Where are you, the Kai Planet?" Oxy carefully shoves his collected Dragon Balls into Shanakan's hands. "This kind of dealing is always done better in person. Regardless, what about a compromise? Someone who could run the Universe better than Shin, but a bit closer to our own moral sensibilities? I think I know perfectly well where to find such a kai, though of course, I'd have to prove myself to him before he appeared."

If the Legends were true, then there was a kai unaccounted for. someone with dangerous powers that even Lord Beerus feared. If nothing else, having another Supreme Kai around would be a safeguard against Beerus's death, and if it doesn't work, hey, maybe he can help take the rogue Kai down?

Oxy places his fingers to his temple, ready to Instant Transmit to Kurumo's location.

Starlight sighed, but there was no time to be worrying about the Referas. She had been tapped into the Khala this whole time, and thus overheard the entire conversation.

"Excuse me, Kurumo?" she replied telepathically. "I'm with Oxy. Do you think we could meet in person to discuss this? It's rather difficult to communicate properly like this, and it's just more polite."

To those who remained in Oxy City, she said, "Hey, I have to go for a bit. A situation cropped up with Kurumo. I'll be back soon." With that, she teleported to where Oxy and Shanakan were.

The two Androids stand there gazing at the sunset. Day end on one end, night beginning on the other. A time of transition and change. With a vast amount of orange blaze and purple shadows in between, both standing upon a sandy beach, with the normally clear light blue waters reflecting the suns orange blaze while dark blue from the coming shadows. The whole spectacle lending an otherworldly feel to it. Boundaries blurring, light and dark mixing.

Beryl turns to Jade.
"This....is beautiful."
"Yeah."
"Makes you think doesn't it? We experienced so much...that we never thought we'd get to see. Who'd know this would all happen eh?"
"I know. The stakes.... the heroics.....weird. Yet its our life now. I guess this is just what we do."
"Yeah, but its not so bad. We do good, and normality is overrated."
"Speaking of not normal."
She holds out the Potara Earrings.
"The fusion. This will be a whole new experience. You sure you can do this?"
"I'm up for it, I'm more concerned about you. Your not the most open of people. You tend to make yourself a soul of hardened steel. In the early days you were covered in shells, layers of layers of mental walls of stoicism and distrust shutting people out, taking years to tear down. Your stoic, your strong and like to rely on yourself to fix your problems, and thats what I love about you...so when I ask can YOU do this....I'm asking can you open up so much as to become a single being with me? Temporarily yes but....you'll no longer be you, I'll be no longer be me.....we'll be more. Someone different. Maybe even something unique. Sharing one body and who knows what else? I worry your individuality won't be ready for it...are you?"
Jade takes a deep breath and asks
"I worry that you'll be too soft to handle being one with what I am. but you keep proving me wrong. You keep staying and loving me. So. Do you trust me?"
"....Yes."
"Then I trust you. Thats your answer."
Beryl nods and takes one of the earrings.
"Well then. What're we waiting for? Lets try it out. I don't stay with you for safety."
"and I don't stay with you for remaining the same."
They smile at each other, knowing what they mean. Beryl puts hers on her left ear. Jade looks down at hers. Despite herself, he heart did flutter in nervousness at what they were about to do. She felt like she was about to take a huge leap into something she had no idea about. A step into the unknown. Why did she feel more nervous about this than when she went to fight Hailing? She steeled herself. No. She can do this. For Beryl. She raises her hand puts the earring on her right ear.

Instantly, their bodies shine with a great unifying force. They suddenly feel pulled together, meeting as one they embrace each other and a great light flashes forth as they combine, to herald the coming of a new being into this world, no matter how short their stay.

Soon it fades and a new singular voice calls out as turquoise eyes shoot open to the world:
"Alright! Super-Android 45 is here!"
She stretches, her physique is tall like Beryls, but has firmness and sharpness like Jades, her hair is black and long like Beryls but with a single long stripe of Jade's orange redhead hair. Her shirt is light green, her pants blue and her jacket brown. Her teal eyes alive with a fire driving her ever forwards and a confident smile playing on her lips full of euphoria.
"I feel so alive and full of energy! Like I can do ANYTHING! Just bursting with power! I need to test this out! See what I can DO! Oh! I know! Oxyribo can probably handle my attacks!"
She raises a foot. With her first step she suddenly takes off across the ocean, blurring past all things around her. Sunset became night then became day within seconds as she runs. She stops right next to Oxyribo and Starlight talking a mile a minute, her body shaking with excitement and hopping from foot ready to go, a big smile on her face. She just nearly circumnavigated the globe. Without even flying. In seconds. How fast IS she!?
"So HEY! Guys I just fused and by all the gods it is AWESOME! Call me Super-Android 45 or just 45 for short! I feel all giddy and bursting with energy and so alive, as if there is some eternal sunshine within me making me wanna SHOUT and jump and just DO ANYTHING! I never felt like this ever! Hey Oxy can like, fight me? I need to test out what I can do while I'm still here! I only have an hour to be here, I'm using it! Hey wait its based on energy, do you think I can extend my time by draining energy from the sun's rays!?"
Shanakan is just standing there, speechless and wide-eyed. Afraid.
