    Man, poor Igor hahaha

You'd imagine he suspected her being in the bathroom for at least a few weeks, but then again, he might just be pretending to be unaware for Hilgya's sake

Is it supposed to be a plot point that Hilgya can't remember her forced husband's name, or is calling him Igor instead of Ivan an authorial error?

Minor typo: there's an excess "you" in the first panel.

It's an error. I went back to that strip to see how he looked and didn't actually double-check the name because I was sure I knew it.

    Fixed now.

Like 7 posts in and no raging about Dream not being on the Cleric or any domain lists? Weird...

Like you can have it cast ON you as the 'dream messenger' as outlined in the spell but still guys, come on...

Edit: I wonder which Bard she conned/ hired for this job - I assume Bard cause the Dwarves *seem* to have more of those than wizards/sorcerers, not because of any firm conviction on who the caster is or any assumption that the caster is relevant.

Hehe. I like the way they get along due to their Chaotic side, but sometimes the other axis' differences crop up. It reminds me of Elan + Belkar conversation strips.

Well, as excited as I am for this thread to slowly devolve into a thinly veiled morally justified debate over Hilgya's arranged marriage, the comic itself was great.

How are those jockeys not completely dissolved? Or does the racial Constitution bonus help with that? And I had assumed the red-banded horned helm was specific to her being a priest of Loki but apparently it is clanwear.

Perhaps a non-acidic subrace specifically curated for cube racing?

Probably, and thus the presiding lawyer was Mr. Jones.

It occurs to me that it may well be that they only win when the opposing side doesn't contest what they're pushing for, as in this case.

Good catch -- and a great callback!

Aaaaaaand gelatinous cube racing may have to become the next hot pastime in my gritty urban campaign setting... tone consistency be damned, this is amazing.

Never mind Hilgya's cunning scheme or her husband's comical obliviousness, how do you ride a gelatinous cube and not die? How do you see a cube and not want to kill it, burn it with fire!?

She needed the gold to pay her lawyers. Under the model rules, you can't charge a contingency fee in a domestic relations matter.

The acid damage is not *that* impressive, some minor acid resistance item would do most of the trick. The paralysis looks to be the bigger issue to bypass, but then I'm not thinking the jockeys can do *much* to affect the oozes speed.

As presented RAW you can breathe as well? Grapples don't stop you breathing and the rules for Gelatinous Cubes don't call out suffocation... man this game...
