    New chapter..

    Spoiler

I feel like this was too easy and I'm not sure if the author is aware of this. Fine, Andrew underestimated the kids probably, and they didn't know the whole of the bunker. But for a trained professional not to notice when one of your men is not checking in...
I feel like there would have been better ways to solve this if you bring in secret tunnels anyway.
Ah, whatever, kids are out, the men are going to hold them off and probably die, next week we'll see if Andrew is that easy to lose.

Yeah, I'm...a little disappointed with this chapter. It still feels GOOD, but the series has just never been as good as it was while on the farm.

So, I'll be honest: My issues I have with this story is one I have with many, which share one trait: Genius characters. The author(s) presumes, they can write genius people hatching genius plans. And sometimes they come up with really smart things, but if idiot m can point out why this shouldn't work it absolutely pulls me out of it. Andrew is supposed to be a skilled professional, he shouldn't screw up this bad.

Yeah.. Really nothing to say. We get some flashbacks and I guess we learn Andrew has a plan for losing radios to the enemy but seriously underestimates his opponents.. Though, if the two can apparently so easily take out the whole squad it undermines the tension from earlier a bit.

Andrew. Adam is the huge kid... Who we haven't seen since the time skip. Did I forget him dying?

I'd complain about the utter stupidity of the bad guys again but whatever, they died for it. It would have been even more ironic if it wasn't Lucas blowing them up but him and Yugo being dead already, but they shoot them to be sure and that kills them. But oh well..

Next time, back to the kids.

Right, I was kinda busy while writing that so I got that wrong.

Honestly I was expecting them to use the self destruct switch, but I guess they kinda did given it used the explosives that switch would use.

I feel like a lot of this being put BEFORE they make their sacrifice would of helped make it feel better. But yeah, a fairly nice send off for Mr Nameless. And we also get to see just how tortured Emma is from two (well, four) deaths. I hope she can get through this okay too.

Honestly, it's about time Emma learned she cannot always save everybody. This should have happened arcs ago. Also, since we already knew Yugo was dead from last week, it immediately made me go "zombies!" when he showed up. I mean, the conversation was fine but still.
Also, for eff's sake, you have been alone and suffering for years and the day you decide to end it is the day the kids show up?! It sure is lucky they didn't come five minutes later!
I'm sorry for being the stick in the mud, Zodi, but good as it might have been, the story really falls apart these chapters..

I'm not that annoyed by that coincidence, but I do get what you mean. Even at it's best, I don't think Neverland has ever really lived up to how good it was during the Farm arc, and that kinda sucks.

A message from Minerva that is trusted because... well, I don't want to say faulty logic but I would not be trusting that message at all. Just because it does fit your way of thinking...
Also, we get glimpses of Adam, so I guess he's still around.

Given Lucas had heard William Minerva previously, I imagine he recognizes the voice and that's why he trusts it.

Andrew being alive is ludicrous, but if he's survived this far I think he'll probably kill a lot of the kids, actually. They wouldn't have him just **** up again....right?

Somehow I keep forgetting voices are a thing in manga... Which is a decent point but not the one they made.

Given how efficient he's been so far.......

It's all well and good to act the perfect person, never kill and save the world. But some people deserve to die, and honestly if you REALLY have compunctions about...look at the dude. It's putting him out of his misery.

Maybe that's their point, they want him to suffer a little longer But no, really, nobody shoots him and he taunts them instead of doing his job. The more I think about it the more angry I get.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but I only feel like ranting about the new chapter...
I guess if I had to say anything in its defense you could argue Andrew showing up again served to give Oliver a bit of characterization and show Ray is willing to spill blood. So, not 'totally' pointless.

Again, I feel like only ranting.
I guess the story is decent at getting the audience to feel the way it wants us to, it's just not the least bit subtle about it.
I wish I had something nicer to say.

Nothing much to say. Long hard trip but the little kids proof useful as well. I'm not sure if there is a point to it but nothing really to complain...
Except the ongoing trend that only Lucas and Yugo had names among the dead. It would be hard to give the others some relevance, too, I guess.

    Also.. more escaped kids?

    See above...
Also, it's another case of pretty convenient timing... I guess thinking about it they might also be headed to the lion's jaw or wherever, making this less coincidental, but it's still very lucky they can save them from the demons.

Edit : new chapter. New friends seem too good to be true, but then sudden emergency! I guess we have to do a side quest before the plot can continue.

So there's DEFINITELY going to be a Watership Down style twist to these new friends, I'm pretty sure.

Especially since Minerva seems way more destructive than we expected.

I'm not sure if I would use that comparison.. Then I my memory of it are pretty foggy because I decided to traumatize myself only once.
And considering that he plans to free humans from the demon world, I'm not surprised Minerva's no pacifist.

But yes, there better be some twist to this after the sideplot, though I feel a trap by Ratri would make more sense.. But seems unlikely. We'll see.

Eh, I can't say there was anything terrible about this except the pacing feels very much like someone told the author he has two more months, so he better figures out a way to finish this..

I kinda wish I did, honestly. That'd be rad, as much as I do love writing my books (and I intend to publish next year!) I'd of loved for them to be comics like I originally envisioned many moons ago.

Yeah, it seems a little faster paced than normal.
