    "We need these glowing weapons? Are they what you use to control the big statue thing?"

    The initiate take a defensive stance, staying between Gago and the ennemies, but staying away from the sword, leaving it in the open ground. between himself and the goblins.

    The tension and desperation of his comrades is becoming quickly something tangible in the underground room as the goblins are pressing their advantage. The farmer, still not fully understanding the situation still, assist to his dwarven friend's dismemberment with horror and sorrow.

    He tries his best to reach his fallen comrade, to protect him from further hurts, or at the very least, avenge his death.
    "Hold on Karzad, I'm coming..."

    Ingwald throws a quick swing of his axe at the goblin in front him, hoping to open a path to Karzad and the goblin chief, and moves straight in the opening, locking stare with the Goblin Chief.

    Ingwald survive the Green Skin blow and manage to use all of his adrenaline to slice back the Goblin and run toward Karzad...

    Goblin archers are spreading to be in a better position to shot their arrows at the remaining enemies..

    The crystal guardian turns to those two disturbing green skins and look like to plan to finish them once and for all..

    Looking over Viktor's head, Gago tries his best to keep track of the battle and the movement of goblins and allies. He is very surprised to hear his ally yell about the swords. In a rough whisper to Viktor:
    "Viktor, I'm not sure what game you are playing, but I hope those swords stay safe! You are also blocking most of my view. Again, I suggest you move forward or to the side a little so I can keep shooting my arrows. For now, be sure to duck, the arrows will be close."

    Although his view is somewhat impaired, he spots an open goblin archer.

    Vyktor gasp audibly when he sees Karzad drop his arm bleeding out . Ignoring fear, the young priest rush forward to get closer and be able to help. He still move out of reach of the crystal statue and goes behind Ingwald to stay safe from the goblin starting to pull out his bandages to be able to heal him.

    Playing before the Champion since what he does won't change what Otto does.

    Otto sees the spear obliterate Karzad's arm and the dwarf's body go limp and fall down because of it. Ingwald and Vyktor are already on their way to help their companion so Otto sets his eyes on the archer that just tried to shoot him. "You are next for what happened to my friend"

    Otto takes a step back to be able to hit the archer with full force; which he does, crushing his hammer straight in the goblin's face.

    Quite happy to see the goblins go, Ingwald rushes to Karzad's side, trusting his friends to make quick work of the fleeing goblins. He kneels down besides Karzad but is taken aback at the sheer destruction that his the dwarf's arm. Not knowing what to do with such a wound, and spotting Vyktor on the way, Ingwald starts by looking for Karzad's breath, to see if the dwarf is still alive.


    Looking frantically around for anything that could spark an idea in his mind, Ingwald notice that Vyktor is rushing over to help.
    "Come on Vyktor, I need you here."
    While looking at Vyktor, the farmer also catches a glimpse of light reflection coming off the crystal statue's body. Realising that the threats are not all over, Ingwald keeps an eye out for the statue's movement.

    Ingwald will assist the initiate as best as he can, following his direction to the letter.

    check if the dwarf is alive by trying to feel his breath, or looking at his chest to see if it rises. Not trained in heal.
    I will help Vyktor, but again, not trained in heal, it's RP only.

    Karzad is diying and the only way to save his live right now (based on Viktor Heal check) is to remove his arm to stop the bleeding, you can not do it without taking off his arm.

    The companions are grouped around Karzad... Gago tries one last time of the stabilized, normally he would have succeeded, but the damages caused by the spear are too important and there is no other option... his arm must be remove quickly.. the minutes are counted.

    Ingwald blanches has he catches the meaning of what is being proposed. He seen this done before, but never so close. Steeling his resolve, he states :
    "If it comes to that, I can take his arm off. I have been chopping wood my whole life on the farm, and this is not much different. Lay him flat on his back, the mangled arm extended. I'll need all of you to hold him down. if someone has anything for him to bite on, that would be ideal. "


    Then turning towards the healers, he asks:
    "Once the arm is cut, how do you want to proceed with sealing the wound? I have seen people use fire, but I don't think we can get one going in here, can we?"


    Ingwald bends down to rummage through the dwarf's belonging. After a few seconds, his brow creases inwards in a quick frown. Producing a flask from the dwarf's pack, he thinks: "Better not use it all, Karzad will need it afterward."

    Dampening a piece of cloth with the strong spirits in the flask, Ingwald starts cleaning his axe in preparation for the decisive chop.

    Once Vyktor realise what must be done, he react. He tie a garrotte on the dwarf arm near the shoulder so the dwarf doesnt bleed out once the arm is severed. He double check the garrotte .

    Vyktor is surprised the dwarf is suddenly conscious, he keep his cool and say with as much tact and kindness as possible, "Yes you are dying. There is only one thing that can be done to savd you, we have to amputate the arm. I am sorry, there is no other way. I realise this must be hard to accept, but if we dont do it, now, you wil die."

    Assuming the dwarf let him, the young man turn the dwarf on his back and place the arm strait to the side,. Looking at Ingwald, the young initiate indicate where the arm need to be cut off, as he pulls out his badanges, healing poultice and use some water to clean his hands.

    Looking at the wizard, "We cannot wait for the sword to be hot, do you spell now please, we need him as steady as possible. Otto, come help me hold him still, sit on his legs and do your best. Gago come help hold his good arm too please, he will struggle once it is done, dwarves are tought, he might not loose conciousness. Also, if you have water, bring it here, might need it to clean the wound afterward. He is dying, lets do this, no time to waste."

    Once Otto and Gago are in place, and the mage did his spell, he young man make a gesture to indicate again where to cut and tells Ingwald,
    "Do it, every minute put him in more danger."

    Having seen this done before, the young initiate knows what to expect. Out of respect for Karzad, but also for Ingwald who have to do it, he doesnt turn his gaze away as the axe come down.

    Gathering his thought, the mage breath slowly, his hand reaching in the pouch at his belt and take out a feather. After a few seconds of mumbling he puts his hand on the forehead of the dwarf, has the feather vanishes.

    Realising what is going to happen the dwarf start to panic.

    "I swear to god you dimwit cow lover, if that axe get any closer to my arm, finding money for your farm will be the least of your problems."

    Trying to look at everyone in the room. Having a weird feathery sensation on his forehead

    "This goes for all of you, i'll ... pee ... ... in your...arggggffffff This is only ... a .. flesh ... ... wound ... no nee .... Narka ... I'm coming"

    Karzad then fall hard a sleep.

    Hurry up.. The preparations go quickly under the circumstances, but the dwarf's breath slowed down critically... There is no time to lose.

    Dolwen heats the sword with the torch, after Ingwald has heated the axe.

    The garrote is in place, Karzad balanced between semi-consciousness.

    The magician tries to reduce that consciousness, but does not really succeed, the dwarf is no longer conscious, but companions are not sur is it because of magic or lack of blood?

    The moment of truth.. Vyktor stretches the dwarf’s arm and Ingwald slices it without hesitation because he knows that every second counts.

    The garrote holds the blood well, the warming sword is placed on the stump, as it’s planned...

    Karzad's head rolls to the side ...
    Silence invades the room... all hold their breaths.

    Releasing the breath he had been holding for the cut, Ingwald looks at the result of his blow.

    "Well, there it is, a clean cut. I have done the best a cow lover can do. It's all up to him now. We should probably find a way to bring him back to town. He'll need nursing and proper food for a while, although he will never admit to it. "

    Turning around, he looks for anything that could be used as a stretcher.
