The nurse looks surprised to see him. "Back so soon?"

[NeoSeraphi]

"I have a new friend!" Matsu replies with a smile, handing her Hiro's PokeBall.

[Diachronos]

"Oh, that's wonderful!" She takes the Pokeball to get Hiro healed up.

[NeoSeraphi]

He lets her heal up Orion too, after that minor scrap with poison. Then he goes to the Trainer's School to learn from the teachers there.

[Diachronos]

When Matsu returns to the school, he finds Lillie copying notes off of one of the classroom's chalkboards.

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu starts reading the chalkboard himself to figure out what the school has to teach him.

[Diachronos]

The chalkboard has detailed information on the various status conditions that Pokemon can inflict, including how some Pokemon types and species are unaffected by them.

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu nods and takes some notes of his own on this helpful information. Then, he looks for another child to challenge!

[Diachronos]

There's a girl at the back of the classroom doodling in a notebook. Matsu notices a pair of Pokeballs on her belt.

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu approaches the girl and smiles. "Excuse me. If you're looking for a practice partner, I have a Pokemon that can inflict status ailments."

[Diachronos]

The girl looks up. "Oh, really? Well, you'll never beat me!"

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu grins and sends out Hiro. Once the girl has chosen her Pokemon, Matsu will command Hiro to use Poison Gas.

Matsu recalls Hiro and sends out Orion!

"Rattata, use Tail Whip!"

Matsu recalls his Pokemon and smiles. "Great fight! You may just beat me next time!"

He goes to reunite with Lillie.

[Diachronos]

Lillie is finishing up her own battle, and recalls Snowy as Matsu approaches.

[NeoSeraphi]

"Hey. Shall we go?" he asks with a smile.

[Diachronos]

"Yeah. We can stop at Hau'oli City and decide where to go from there."

[NeoSeraphi]

"Lead the way, then."

[Diachronos]

They set out, and as the sun starts dipping toward the horizon they arrive in Hau'oli City. Lillie turns to Matsu. "What should we do while we're here?"

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu's stomach growls. "Ah...maybe we should pick up something to eat first?"

[Diachronos]

"That sounds like a good idea. I think there's a malasada shop nearby."

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu tilts his head. "Mala what now?"

[Diachronos]

"Malasada. It's sort of like a fried dough bun."

[NeoSeraphi]

Matsu nods. "Oh, alright. I can give one of those a try."

A few minutes later...

"I had no idea this would be so sweet!" Matsu comments, breaking off a piece and handing it to Orion, who chirps happily. "Are those Pecha Berries ground up in the dough?"
