    The question is which way?
    Walking up might be dangerous.
    Jumping down seems to be safe and the platforms form a circle where up is down.

    I'd like to try going down, see if we can reach the top platform this way.

    Matthew's eyes go wide as wisp jumps. However, he will not let a companion down, even in a group as crazy as this one. taking a deep breath, Matthew jumps off the side of the platform.

    How big is the platform?
    Where do we stand on the platform?
    How far away is he?
    does he look like a very strong person? like a weak person (physically)?
    does he wear cloths or armor? what kind?
    does he carry weapons? what kind?
    is he alone?
    can we see beyond the archway?

    is he just talking? and can be surprised? (meaning I can act now or do I need to bluff him to surprise him?) or is he combat ready (we have to roll initiative and higher goes first?)

    Matthew, already rather peturbed that he hadn't figured out how to move the mind stone, decides to let it out on this man. With a pop, a ray of frost shoots from Matthews outstretched hand, slamming into the man with great force. (energy push, cold)

    strenght check DC 15 or be pushed backwards 5'/5 damage taken as if bullrushed.

    Understanding the grave importance that it needed to be kept out of these robed peoples' hands, Wisp put as much distance between her and the greycoat (likely Tarsiv or one of his followers) and grabbed at the orb - if she needed to run, mage hand would not be good enough to keep up, so it was either this or simply punt it off the platform and try to keep up.

    Turn order:
    sling
    gray man
    wisp
    mattew
    thyria
    (the quitter paladin)

    sling gives a bad aimed stab to the man, that is easly dodged.
    the man on his side summons two rat swarms.
    wisp grabs the orb and backs away.
    mattew hits the man with a ray of frost with full power and the man flys off the platform, only to crash on it soon after, looking body-broken. (i mean, things are at unnatural angles)

    Knowing from experience that you have to bring down the casters first, Thyria moves over to the gray man and stabs him viciously. She positions herself so that she and Sling flank him.

    attack(rapier) prone(AC-4) man: (1d20+6)[26] +2 (if flanking works)
    damage (1d6+2)[4] + sneak (1d6)[1] (if flanking)

    after the attack she tries to discern if the man is still conscious.
    "spot" - (1d20+4)[8]

    should he be alive still and trying to stand up or cast a spell, attack of opportunity to disrupt his concentration:
    attack(rapier) man: (1d20+6)[18] +2 (if flanking works)
    damage (1d6+2)[4] + sneak (1d6)[1] (if flanking)

    sling-near the archway
    gray man-on the floor near the middle of the platform
    wisp-near the far edge of the arcway
    mattew-slightly closer to the center then wisp
    thyria-over the gray man, next to swarm B
    <the quitter paladin>-near the gray man and swarm A

    The tiefling continues battering at the gray clad man, she makes a 5ft. step to the side (if necessary) to be able to flank together with the paladin.

    TWF:rapier - (1d20+6)[10] damage - (1d6+2)[4]+sneak - (1d6)[3]
    TWF:mace - (1d20+5)[19] damage - (1d6+1)[6]+sneak - (1d6)[2]

    I added +2 attack bonus from flanking together with the paladin

    if you need attacks of opportunity from Thyria (for example the man stands up or does something else like spellcasting that provokes one)
    AoO:rapier - (1d20+8)[21] damage - (1d6+2)[6]+sneak - (1d6)[2]

    if he stands up and walks way before she can attack twice, Thyria will follow and attack, please use the first TWF:rapier roll for a single attack.

    Sling looks surprised as the gray man is blasted off the platform. An evil smile crosses his face as them man lands prone. Sling quickly tumbles to the opposite side of the man as Thyria and aims at him with his kukri.

    Wanting this fight over, Matthew summons up another psionic attack, putting as much as he can into it. With a pop heard by all, Matthew attacks his opponents mind. (Mind Thrust augmented 3 PP)

    will save 15 or take (3d10)[9] damage.

    Wisp, noticing that their attacker had been rendered prone, decides to hold off on leaping (on the off chance that he brought friends) and releases the orb, the mage hand floating it in the air again.

    Flipping to a page in her book, she begins to recite a short passage in draconic over and over, creating a very eerie ambience and having a marked effect on her opponents' defences.
