Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
Eberek removes his chainshirt and puts it along with his backpack. Need any help with the watch? asks Eberek to Face.
MAGIC, n. An art of converting superstition into coin. There are other arts serving the same high purpose, but the discreet lexicographer does not name them.

Gutrog
Gutrog sat down against the wall of the cave. He started to maintain his weapons, most of his concern was in his battered spiked shield he prefered.Current avatar made by Kpenguin , more cool avatars in my spoiler

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
No, I have very little need of rest. I will wake you if situations arise.
(since he will be watching and listening the entire night I suppose the best is to take 10 on both=11 )

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
The first part of the night goes by without incident.

Mechanical eyes survey the dimmed cave as the night wears on. Every chirp and creak inspected. The crossbow remains cocked and righted by arms that never tire.

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
Nothing much seems to happen during this stretch. Certainly nothing dangerous approaches.
((And a third set of checks, please))

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
Hoping to let his companions get the sleep organics require, Face quietly grabs a small strip of jerky from a pack and throws it off and a bit behind the badges to distract it with a meal before getting near the cave. He will keep his crossbow ready and will fire and raise the alarm only if the animal continues to try and enter the cave.
(move silently=(1d20+4)[14], throw meat=(1d20+4)[24])
(if needed, initiative=(1d20+7)[26] crossbow=(1d20+4)[13] piercing (1d8+1)[6] plus (1d6)[6]. If it enters and the shot misses or does not kill/chase it off then Face will call out an alarm.)

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
The piece of jerky strikes the badger's nose firmly. The animal squeals a bit and backs up, then sniffs the jerky warily - sniffs again - then eats it. It looks up at Face and regards him for a moment, then moves closer.

((Then I guess I'll revert to my rolls in the post above, shooting and then calling everyone awake it it fails to chase off the little beast))

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
((Awww. The badger just wanted to be friends... and get more jerky. Mmmm, jerky...))
Face's shot misses, and the badger retreats into the undergrowth.

((Sorry mates, I was waiting for others or something...dunno, guess you lot are asleep so not sure what I was expecting))
With the threat to the organics' sleep cycles averted Face returns to his silent post until the morning light.

((I am so sorry for letting this go un-updated for so long. I had finals, and then my new job... Anyway, I finally have an update for you, if any of you are still interested.))
Hanae joins Face at the cave entrance some hours before dawn. Are you sure you don't want any sleep, Face?

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
"Ah...no ma'am. Truth is I haven't even thought about sleep in a really, really long time," the disguised warforged 'admits'. "I'm really not sure why I am as I am. There is much I do not understand as of yet."
"Should we see if the other will wake up?"Last edited by Benejeseret; 2008-05-15 at 01:52 PM.

Re: The Yuan-Ti War [IC]
No, we should let them sleep a while longer.
Do you think I should light a fire and start cooking some breakfast?
