    Freebie: Dr. Boom, Mad Genius
    Preorder 1: Golden Crystalsmith Kangor
    Preorder 2: Golden Electra Stormsurge

(As mentioned previously, I went full whale this time around since Hearthstone was my only game-friend recovering from surgery and I wanted to return the favor.)

Time to open up the rest...

    EDIT: Adding to the haul:

    Ziliax
    Flobbidinous Floop
    Golden Cloning Gallery
    Golden Mecha'thun
    Harbinger Celestia
    Myra's Unstable Element
    Dr. Morrigan

Golden epics included Omega Mind and Supercollider.

Total dust before any of the legendaries above = 4380. I'm probably dusting the Cloning Gallery for sure, and maybe Kangor too.

Hm, looking at what everyone's reporting for their freebies, it seems to be all class legendaries, and so far at least never the spell. Either we're getting some outlier results here in the Playground, or perhaps the freebie always comes from that pool of 9?

I got the shaman class minion as my freebie and the druid spell as my gold for the preorder. Just to give another data point.

I got Floop for free and Mecha'Thun for my preorder golden legendary, which I disenchanted for Valeera in a malygos rogue deck. I've found Mecha'Thun really isn't worth it and if you pull it off you may as well have been playing Malygos Druid

So I wasn't sure what I wanted to craft so I went ahead and starting memeing it up with Whizbang.

I was actually disappointed there's nothing at the start of game to let the opponent know you're playing Whizbang. So you seem just like anyone else. On the other hand it does make me seem eccentrically rich crafting full golden decks, so I guess that's kind of worth it.

    So far I have played:
Taunt Warrior (basically witchwood taunt warrior only new thing I saw was Zilliax with no mech support. pretty boring)
Deathrattle Rogue (interesting deck but I lost horribly. Felt really weak)
Mech Paladin (it seemed to be more midrange built around the endless army spell. I actually really enjoyed it, but aggro is probably strictly better)
Omega Warlock (basically control lock with Omega Defender and Omega Agents as bonus lategame pressure. The Omega cards actually did clinch me the win against a token druid that went to fatigue, so that was neat)
Spellpower Mage (everything it was expected to be, which is to say awful).

I got Dr. Boom as my Free Legendary, and opened a total of 22 Packs which gave me Boomaster Flark and his Boom-Zooka! Don't think I quite have the collection to really use the Legendaries, but I did get the new components for Combo Priest.

Got Zerek as my freebie, and golden Subject 9 as my pre-order bonus.

Then out of 98 packs I got Dr Boom Mad Genius, Flark's Boom-Zooka, Zilliax, and Myra. Decent haul, though not as lucrative as some I've had before.

Planning to try out Hunter, Mage, Priest, and Warrior to start, so I did okay from packs.

I've been messing around with Mech Paladin. This is what I have right now, and so far it's been pretty disgusting. Only losses have been to zoolock with god-draw, and a combo mage who managed to survive just long enough to combo off.

Floop is as good in Twig Druid as I dreamed. I went up against an Odd Quest Warrior who managed to gain over 40 armor over the course of the game, completing the quest as we both reached fatigue due to all his card draw - but as it turns out, 3x Malygos can burn even that much down.

Finished off my pack openings 70 with about 1000 gold in reserve as I determine if there's some epics I want in this set, or I should start saving for next expansion.

    Freebie: Electra Stormsurge
Legendaries: Floop, The Stormbringer, Crystalsmith Kangor, and Harbinger Celestia.

I'm still stuck playing Murloc Paladin cause I have another 28 Murlocs to play for my quest.

Divine Shield Mechadin is pretty fun, but I've also been having fun tooling with a Shuffle based Rogue (Darkness as primary win condition, stuff like Seaforium Bomber and Academic Espionage to also help) that is a bit too slow, but it's really fun, and Pogo Rogue, which actually seems promising. So far I'm only running 4 minions: Pogo Hopper, Lab Recruiter, Witchwood Piper, and Ancient Brewmaster. I may take the latter out in favor of something like Giggling Inventor to help stall; I have enough Hoppers I think between Lab Recruiter, Shadowtep, and Cheat Death. Chucked Myra's Unstable Element and Academic Espionage in there as alternate options. May also drop the latter in favor of more stall or board clear.

I've been playing around with Malygos Rogue, and made a few changes to my original list I theorycrafted.

    Spoiler: The Original List
    Show

    2x Backstab
    2x Preparation
    2x Sinister Strike
    1x Bloodmage Thalnos
    1x Cheat Death
    1x Evasion
    2x Eviscerate
    2x Razorpetal Volley
    2x Sap
    2x Shiv
    2x Fan of Knives
    2x Necrium Blade
    2x Elven Minstrel
    2x Kobold Illusionist
    1x Necrium Vial
    2x Gadgetzan Auctioneer
    1x Vanish
    1x Malygos
    1x Valeera The Hollow
    AAECAaIHCMQBtAPNA+0FgNMC0OMC3+MC7PwCC7QBvQSbBcYFiA ekB4YJ98EC2+MC8OYC3voCAA==

After a few games I began to see tons of inconsistency, since the combo relies on having no minions in hand besides Malygos for full value. So I ended up cutting 1 Gadgetzan and 1 Minstrel for Shinyfinder and a 2nd Cheat Death. Now I often get an opening hand similar to Cheat Death-Necrium Blade-Kobold Illusionist-Backstab.

At least according to my Facebook feed, at least one person has gotten Whizbang from the freebie, and a couple of other lucky sods got Golden Whizbang from the preorder.

Having said that though - Whizbang is a bit disappointing to me. When you use it, nothing lets your opponent know that you're using a Whizbang deck, unless they recognize the cards and are suspicious about your golden coin.

Yeah, definitely running Elekks. Worst case scenario 3 mana 3/4 is not bad tempo. If it comes late game you combo it for insane value. If it sticks in the early game you have a bunch of good 4 mana shuffle plays.

Sadly I'm like 2 of 6 so far. I just don't have the survivability to make the combo work in the late game most times. It might be interesting to try in Wild with Kingsbane as an alternative to mill.

Yeah, it's sad. I was expecting some start of game goodness like Malchezaar or Genn/Baku.

It feels like Overkill to me. You have two Lab Recruiters (six extra copies) and potentially Shadowstep, Sap, and Vanish (at least mine does) if you need it. I'm also running Zola, if that makes a difference.

I personally forgot about zola, that's probably a good one to consider. But the Elekks are also good for Ambushers and the Darkness, both of which are also conveniently turn 4 plays. And it hurts relatively little to include it, what 3 drops are you wanting to put over it?

I'm seriously considering something that gives some healing to help with my longevity problem. Rotten Applebaum or something might be a good include as both a taunt and health gain, and in a match that looks to go long is a good target for duplication. (I ran into mirror match a while ago where my opponent recognized we were a mirror before I did, and duplicated Lab Recruiter with Lab Recruiter, and then duplicated a bunch of vilespine slayers, so he just didn't care that my stuff got bigger than his, he had an endless supply of removal).

Ah, I feel like our Pogo decks are way different; I'm not running any other Shuffle mechanics in it besides Lab Recruiter. I have a different Shuffle deck but I took Pogo out to focus on more meme cards (see: Seaforium Bomber).

So I put Mecha'thun in my Malygos Druid deck as an alternate win condition.

So far I've gotten it to go off 3 times This is bloody fantastic!
