R4T12.5: Björn closes the distance, knocking over the chairs, and swings his sword. She doesn't wear any armor, but her old wrinkled skin is leathery enough and the northman's sword does not cut her.

Jean points at the bag-lady again, twisting his hand into a vicious claw. "Kill her, Javert." he mentally snarls as he makes a cutting motion with his hand.

R4T9: Jean, you are currently being grappled by the bag lady, in leaping spirit stance, and the aura of gloom ends with the beginning of your turn. What do you do?

R4T9-8.9: Jean points at the bag-lady again, twisting his hand into a vicious claw. "Kill her, Javert," he mentally snarls as he makes a cutting motion with his hand. Javert feels the refreshed maneuver and starts to caw at the old lady, in a manner that sounds curiously (and hideously) like mocking laughter. The old lady is ready this time and dodges the bird's attack, though simultaneously with that, a pall of gloom hangs over Jean and the immediate area.

End Round 4, Begin Round 5 ...

R5T30: Though Zoo is a larger dog with sharp teeth, the Bag Lady is clever enough to see that the raven is more dangerous (in tandem with Jean) than at first expected. Instead of grabbing the bird, she sends out a fast double-kick at the bird. Javert was already dropping from the first kick, but the second kick is enough for Jean to know that his bond to Javert is severed. Asarale the raven is dead.

R5T25: Lord Hanley ducks under Björn's legs, hops up on the chair, vaults off of Javert's shoulder, and lands several feet from the crone in a defensive stance.

R5T15: Zoo, what do you do?

Zoo, ever the friend to animals (once he's fed), growls at the Bag Lady with a deadly menace for her bird murder (burder?). He steps to the side to allow Björn through and attacks Loomis with full fury.

R5T15: Zoo, ever the friend to animals (once he's fed), growls at the Bag Lady with a deadly menace for her bird murder (burder?). He steps to the side to allow Björn through and attacks Loomis with full fury. He bites her in the foot for 7, then rears up and stomps down on her left arm with a hoof for 4.

R5T14: Akbar closes and then stares at the Bag Lady, throwing out a fire ray as suppression "fire."

R5T13: Gaye moves forward and despite all of the chaos of battle, hits the Bag Lady for 3 cold with a ray of frost.

R5T12.5: Björn, Zoo just moved over a little, so you can't really close on the Bag Lady. Not that you need to, though, as you can strike her from your current spot with 10' reach! What do you do?

R5T12.5: Björn continues to try to use his size to his advantage and strike at the woman again. He hits her in the left upper arm with a withering blow for 19, and gets thrown into the corner where she lies prone.

Zoo continues to dog pile the bag lady by stepping north and demonstrating the effectiveness of enamel and keratin.

There's no coherent thought to Jean's next actions, only a sudden spike of rage and pain that sends his sword to hacking again and again with a wordless snarl on his lips.

R6T25: A small piece of rubble flies from the ground to hit the Bag Lady in the head.

R6T15: Zoo, what do you do? No visibly active opps at this time.

Seeing that the bag lady isn't in any shape to move, Zoo retracts his claws and places a hand on Jean's shoulder. After a moment he steps away and begins sniffing the room in a counter-clockwise direction.

R6T15: Seeing that the bag lady isn't in any shape to move, Zoo retracts his claws and places a hand on Jean's shoulder. After a moment he steps away and begins sniffing the room in a counter-clockwise direction. Zoo notes that the rubble beyond the west is actually a rough passage that curves to the north and to a space beyond.

That was a single move action. Does Zoo do anything else?

R6T15: Zoo gives a single loud bark and not only does a doggy-style point towards the rubble-strewn passageway, but the hands coming off of his shoulders also point towards the western passage.

R6T14-13: Akbar moves behind Zoo in preparation to move that way. Gaye follows along and looks to Björn. "It's a bit of a squeeze. Perhaps you should go through first to clear the way, Big Sexy."

Björn will look at Gaye oddly and then push through the passageway defensively.

As Björn does so, in the time it takes for him to squeeze through the passageway carefully (so as not to displace rubble onto his friends), his allies situate themselves into a marching order for whatever new challenges lie ahead. The passageway quickly takes a "U" to the west-north-east and into another, larger chamber. Cracked pillars bent at broken angles support a sagging ceiling. While most of the walls look ready to fall apart, the northern wall has done so, creating a massive gap open to the strange weather beyond. Opposite it, the wall in the best repair (south of Björn) is laden with parchment pages covered in stark lines of coal and chalk.

This dilapidated hall bears the broken supports and toppled brickwork of multiple rooms, former patients’ cells, and nurse stations. At present, it has more in common with an opium den, as the smoky breaths of weak figures fill the air. Dusty pallets slouch against walls and rock piles. The wall of pages displays the work of cult leader Ulver Zandalus. These pictures mostly depict scenes of chalky mist filled with impossible, ominous shapes. Gaye, Haru, Lord Hanley, Jean, and Zoo see the sketches along the south wall flutter in an unfelt wind.

Three creatures here spout mist that topples through the open segment of wall in an endless cascade.

R1T23: Gaye runs in full tilt and goes to the opposite side of one of the creatures.

R1T21: Realizing that the creatures in there don't seem to be aware of the party (despite Björn's giant armored form trundling through), Akbar moves up and shoots one point blank with a spell, delivering 2 STR damage.

R1T20: Björn, what do you do? Be aware of your size.

R1T20: Björn moves in and to the left to clear the way for everyone and act as look out for attackers.

R1T19: As Lord Hanley moves up past Jean he glances south and shouts, "Stay away from that wall, it's a haunt!" before continuing north.

R1T17: O3, a woman with an impossibly large mouth in a mournful expression, no longer has a directed jet of yellow mist heading outside, but rather belches even more sickly, yellow mist all around her, covering the area around her in the same thickness of yellow fog as folks have seen elsewhere.

R1T16: Zoo, what do you do?

R1T16: Zoo moves into the room and then north. As he gets to Akbar, he sees something that catches his attention. Zoo begins barking very loudly, pointing at something for thost that can see him.

R1T14-9: O1 and O2 stop their directed streams and come around from their positions looking out the opening in the building. They both open their mouths wide and start to fill their areas with yellow mist.

Björn, roll a Fort save ....

R1T7: Haru, what do you do? You hear Zoo barking loudly, but you don't see him because of the yellow mist that has risen up.

Haru moves forward, in the direction that he saw Zoo go in. As he does, his body begins to glow softly, as if trying to make himself a bit more noticable in the fog

R1T7: Haru moves forward in the direction that he saw Zoo go in, stopping once he gets behind Zoo (who is using his arms to point to something on the ground). Haru's body begins to glow softly, as if trying to make himself a bit more noticable in the fog. He sees that the small bundle on the ground is a prone and seemingly unconscious Lord Hanley!

R1T2: Jean, already in leaping spirit stance, hustles through the fog until he is on the north side of the fallen Lord Hanley that Zoo is pointing towards, though deep in yellow mist and with an oneirogen in front of him. Jean calls on the power of darkness to allow him to claim the creature as his prey, and in so doing remembering how best to cut to the quick any creature that opposes him (recovers mockery).

End Round One, Begin Round 2 ...

R2T23: "I got in a nick on the oneirogen by me!" Gaye calls out, unseen to the east by any allies.

R2T21: Akbar says, "I see it, nice one. I will go into its primal will to make sure that it feels pain more deeply. from any who harm it. Including me." And with that last he shoots at the oneirogen (missing) even as it counters by punching him in the chest with a crit for 6 (Zoo and Haru see him get hit).

R2T20: Björn, while battle rages to the east, you are staring down at one of these onesy-whatsits spewing out yellow fog, surrounding you both in a deep mist. You manage to shrug off the soporific effects of the mist. What do you do?

Lord Hanley literally on deck asleep, O3 in the hole ...

R2T20: Björn attempts to lay into the oneirogen with his sword but, unused to his size misses on his left-to-right cut (aimed to take off its head) and Björn's sword is destroyed against the pillar. Though a tough pill to swallow, Björn takes out his finely crafted silver dagger.

R2T19: Lord Hanley comes to (possibly due to the sound of the shattering sword), grabs the dagger he dropped, and stands, even moving over a few feet to be next to Gaye. "Sorry about that. Us little tykes sometimes need a nappy-bye in the middle of a tough day."

R2T17: O3 swings at the woman that stabbed her, missing terribly both times.

R2T16: Zoo, what do you do?

O2 on deck, O1 in the hole ...

Zoo begins circling Akbar, trying to find the oneirogen that hit him. He lets out a growl to let his allies know where he his even in the mist.

Standard action: IF enemy found THEN attack with bite, ELSE use scent to attempt to pinpoint the nearest enemy's location.

R2T16: Zoo begins circling Akbar, trying to find the oneirogen that hit him, and sees only after a few feet. He lets out a growl to let his allies know where he his even in the mist, even biting her in the belly for 8.

R2T14: Jean falls asleep in the mists. Zoo sees him go down. O2 slams Jean with a cheap shot for 5, though its second hit doesn't penetrate Jean's armor.

R2T9: O1 makes two sloppy attacks, and then steps back to the side, making it a little more troublesome for Björn to attack her. They oneirogens might have ruined minds in some manner, but they still are cunning in their way.

R2T7: Haru, what do you do? You are currently concentrating on glow and war totem is not active.

Jean (asleep) on deck, Gaye in the hole ...

Haru will slowly move forward following the sound of Zoo's growling. As he does, he invokes his magic once more to rally his allies.

End Round 2, Begin Round 3 ...

R3T23: Gaye thrusts into O3 with a crit for 13 into the chest. It is a surprise opening and she attacks again into its left bicep for 8.

R3T21: Akbar maintains his stare on O3, but also smacks her in the left hand with his walking stick for 9, shattering the hand and shredding the internal veins as O3 drops!

R3T20: Björn, O1 backed away to the north, out of sight. What do you do?

Björn will move to the north east and if any foe appears, strike at it.

R3T20: Björn squeezes to the northeast, but in so doing, he has to get himself past the pillar before he can find solid footing, and not before O2 attacks ... his fist impotent against the northman's armor. Björn now sees two enemies - O1 (who was behind a pillar), and now O2 (who is standing over a sleeping Jean). Though O1 was his original target, O2's attack and his position over a vulnerable sleeping Jean propel's the youth's dagger to pierce into the oneirogen's left hand for 13. So powerful is the blow as the hydrualics provide extra power, that the oneirogen is thrown clear from Björn's view. There is a scream in the distance .... almost of someone falling from a short height. And then, to add to it, there is a hideous, monstrous sound from outside and the oneirogen screams a second time until its screams are cut horrifically short.

R3T19: Lord Hanley performs a coup de grace on O3.

R3T16: Zoo, no enemy in sight right now .... besides a definitely dead oneirogen. But Jean is sleeping! What do you do?
