The thread related to Goblin Dan made me wonder: does someone know why Goblins like Gouda cheese?

Aside from gorgonzola and goat, few other cheeses begin with the letter G.

Why wouldn't goblins like Gouda? It's a delicious cheese.

I picked up the Gouda on the store the other day, but my wife pulled a face and said it was too much like smelly feet, so I put it down and got Havarti instead.

So maybe goblins have a foot fetish?

Did your wife have a cold? Or smell particularly cheesy feet?

She was referring to Gouda in general, not that particular shrink-wrapped piece of dairy. Maybe someone had particularly cheesy feet around the time we last had Gouda.

Huh, I would've thought just hobgoblins were Gouda fans. But it's not unlikely that my memory is just failing me on this matter after these years.

Technically, they do wear shoes, they are just toe-shoes. (They originally were barefoot, but it was changed for artistic reasons)

This can be seen on the Dark One, RC, and Oona in the new style.

Pssst. It's an art upgrade. We're supposed to pretend they were always drawn this way.

As far as this goes, is the beginning of the second page here the first time the gouda running joke appears in OOTS? I'm pretty sure it is, but never been 100 percent.

This is really the only reason you need.
Also, they didn’t have any camembert because the cat’s eaten it.
