Legacy of Fire SoP/SoM/PoW III: The Revengening

"Agreed Khwaja, but what to do with our guest? I don't think we want to waste our time fighting him again later should he break free."

"I could take him to the constables. Hopefully they won't make us investigate a thief they know we encountered."

Goma will make sure to give him another pat down for weapons and tools just to be safe.

"Probably charge us for the expense of holding him. Bloody merchants." He glances at the water prince. "No offense."

"I will help escort. Regarding the gems, they are curious. Formed on a morphic plane, if I do not miss my guess. I couldn't say which without research; gems planar gems are not a field I have studied extensively."

The Merchant Water Prince looks at Akaash confusedly, then at Aziz (who shrugs his little monkey shoulders). "Oooo-kay? Unless you mean, no offense to my current paramour?"

"That would make sense. Aziz is clearly a monkey business magnate."

The Khwaja Malak rolls his eyes at the monkeyshines and goes about conducting triage on the heroes. If multiple people need healing ... he channels energy. After he's out, he'll spot weld with cure.

Then, it is bedtime.

"To the warehouse, then, I think. Should not be hard to find."

The Water Prince looks at Alssariq for a protracted second. "Yeah .... especially since we have directions."

The party decides any possible surprise they might gain by heading out now isn't worth going in half-cocked, so they head back to sleep. Come sunrise, they head, down to the docks on the other side of the city. The trip isn't exactly the shortest, but they get there well before noon.

The building is vaguely L shaped, with a wide rectangle of warehouse connected to a much smaller offices. You don't see any guards, so you have an option: Do you enter through the warehouse, or do you circle around and head to the offices?

Akaash ducks into an ally, leaping up to a rooftop to take a quick look at the target building's roof, then reports back.

Rowan yawns as he waits for Akaash's scouting to finish. Being awoken in the middle of the night and then threatened to sell their shiny treasure vault to be legally(?) forced to surrender it made it difficult to get a peaceful nights sleep it appeared.

Akaash reports his findings, "Warehouse has skylights, office doesn't. If we can talk our way inside, anything that happens will be in the office area I expect, so back-up on the roof is less helpful than it might have been."

"Do the offices have windows?" Alssariq asks.

"I'm for starting off by talking our way inside," says Khwaja Malak.

"That's a thought. I could go with the Khwaja while the others get into position for a pincer maneuver."

"Shahrazad, you're with me. Water Prince, though you would aid me excellently, you would make too many bruisers, and the other guys could use you on the more forceful infiltration," says Khwaja Malak.

"I suppose the roof looks nice enough for me."

Rowan and Malak have a small sense of nostalgia, as this isn't the first time they've done this maneuver. With Rowan's help, the roof team was able to get into position as the ground team did the same. The door's unlocked. Once you're in postion, make your move.

[[OOC: Everyone state if you're on the roof or ground teams. I know that Goma and Malak are on the ground team and that Akaash is on the roof, but everyone else state where you are so I can make teh map work.]]

Malak opened the door, with 'Zad and Goma flanking him. The rest of the party was on the roof, huddled around a skylight. In the warehouse are a bunch of boxes; you see about a dozen slaves moving them about as six workers oversee their progress. As soon as they see the ground party, you see them stiffen; They shout at you to get out; apparently they've been warned you might make an appearance. What do you do?

Goma steps up to be next to Malak and enters a defensive stance.

"They seem a bit upset. I don't suppose you could smooth things over Khwaja?"

"I need to speak with your ..... supervisor," says Khwaja Malak.

The lead worker pulls his shortsword. "Last chance. You are not welcome on these premises and we outnumber you two to one. Leave"

Goma winces. "I was trying to imply that maybe some mental magic would help, but we can do it this way too." Goma whispers.

Khwaja Malak nods and says, "Come, Goma ... Shrahzad, let's step out."

Khwaja Malak will guardedly step back and out the door.

The guards are tense, but they let you go. Now what will you do?

As soon as Khwaja Malak steps outside and shuts the door, he casts greater serendipity on himself. "Make any preps you need," he says to Goma and Shahrazad.

Goma moves next to the door and prepares to charge the closest guard when the door opens. He gives K-M a thumbs up.

Khwaja Malak then casts a spell on himself to focus his sense of will.

So much for talking. Akaash shakes his head, muscles tensing as he prepares to to plunge to the floor.

Khwaja Malak casts a DB up into the air so the folks on the roof might see it as a sign to begin the assault. He tells Goma, get ready to stand to the breech to make it difficult for those that come out.

For his part, he has Shardizhad open the door for him (taking cover this round herself) and he yells (while also being to the side. "Come get us, thou dust-pated cretins!" (No, really, a thousand years ago, those were fighting words ... among gentlemen.)
