Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Only about 15 minutes late, though.
For the current question, Belkar wants the names of strip clubs he won't be thrown out of.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Choose one: finding a hooker for Roy in Sandsedge; asking the Oracle of Sunken Valley for a recommendation in strip clubs; tracking down a strip club in the forest in #154 first panel. Ron Miel was answering the previous question by Lord Torath by the way.
Update: How ironic. Now I've answered the previous question too.Last edited by b_jonas; 2019-01-15 at 01:11 PM.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
The Creature in the Darkenss might be non-humanoid. I'll need a future strip to confirm.
What would Belkar enjoy less than being stabbed?
Hint (because with the weekend coming, I might forget to post it):Spoiler: Do not open before 7:33 am MST (GMT-7) Jan 19thSpoiler: Seriouly, wait until the right time!Spoiler: I really mean it, you know!Spoiler: This is your final warning! It's kind of surprising that he'd rather be stabbed than submit to this experience, especially considering how secure he apparently is in his manhood.Last edited by Lord Torath; 2019-01-18 at 01:46 PM.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Yeah, that question by Lord Torath is hard. I couldn't solve it even after the hint. I decided to give it some extra time because it was weekend, and it's not a bad question. But yes, the question has expired now so I'll ask a new one.
New question. Someone (not Belkar) suggests to Vaarsuvius to snap someone else's neck. Whose neck is that, and in which strip?

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Lord Torath: oh, that eyeliner is a clever one. Thank you. In retrospect, the lesson I should learn from that one is that if a trivia question is so difficult that I fail to solve it even after reading the hint and trying to cheat by searching the transcripts, I should search the trivia thread archives, because many questions have been asked before. If I used the same text keyword searches as I used on the transcripts, I'd have found https://forums.giantitp.com/showthread.php?p=23400385, which asks the same question. I'd like to note that this usually doesn't work for my own questions, because I'm already specifically using the trivia archive to try to ask new questions.
Correct! The three soul splices provide for lots of cryptic trivia puzzles, but I'll probably have to wait several pages before I can ask the next one so that it's less obvious.
Update: Wait, I think I know this one. That was something Durkon said to Greg about how memory works, probably in the strip with the memory of fighting the giant frog. #963? Nope, darn it. That's not the solution. Sorry, false alarm.Last edited by b_jonas; 2019-01-21 at 06:44 PM.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Nah, it's much easier. I already told the trick earlier in the thread. I downloaded the past trivia threads (940 pages with generally 50 posts each), then extracted almost all the references to OOTS strips. Then I listed which strips have few references. I look at the strips with zero or one references (in this case, #642 had one reference), see if I can make an interesting trivia question about that strip (for many of the strips, I can't, because of selection effect), then if I can, I check the one past reference to make sure it's not about the same question I'm trying to ask (nope, it's about Inkyrius's hair tie), then ask away.
