Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Seeing that the other beetle is effectively stuck by the terrain and obscured by Draj's spell, Asjara joins to focus fire the beetle in front. She shouts and smashes her hammer at the beetle, as if she puts all her weight on the strike.
A soft breeze seems to surround the beetle, making it harder to attack anyone but Asjara.

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Asjara's hammer smashes the beetle's skull open.
The other beetle blindly fires its spittle from within the mist at the last thing it could see, but utterly misses. A quick look reveals that the spittle looks oddly icy.
Two snakes slither out from beneath the broken tables, and start biting Draj. The first one can't get past the magical clothes he's wearing, but the second strikes true and deals 10 damage + 2 lightning damage to Draj. Fortunately, no poison seems to have seeped into the wound.
The rattling of their tails is rousing some primal fear within you, making it harder to focus on attacking.

Snake Defenses: AC 17, Fort 16, Reflex 18, Will 16

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Asjara turns her attention to the snakes, which she has failed to notice until now.
She moves to the flanked position between a snake and the remaining beetle, and waves her hammer towards the snake. As the hammer flies forward, it becomes a blurry and huge, incorporeal-looking version of itself, striking at both snakes at once. At the same time, Asjara herself also looks transparent and almost mist-like, and ectoplasma-looking substance seems to form near all enemies and potentially grab them, if they dare to attack anyone other than Asjara.

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Spoiler: Snake information for those who make a DC 15 Nature Check
The snakes you're fighting are deathrattle vipers, which generally prefer to live in forest, jungles, and caves rather than deserts. They fight by using their rattles to strike fear into their prey, making using their poisonous fangs easier. The lightning that these particular ones are producing isn't normal.

The elementally charged animals continue to lash out at you, more effectively than before.
Spoiler: Attack Rolls
Viper B
Hit: (1d20+6)[23] vs AC

Secondary Hit: (1d20+6)[13] vs Fort

Beelte A
Hit: (1d20+10)[25] vs AC
Damage:(1d10+4)[10] + (2d4)[2] cold
The viper and beetle next to Asjara begin competing to see who can get a bite in first, ignorant of her mist-like form. Both manage to get a hit it, but the ignored incorporeality reduces the effect of the hits. Asjara takes 3 damage + 1 lightning damage from the snake and 5 damage + 1 cold damage from the beetle, for a total of 10 damage. The effect of incorporeality has already been applied.
Spoiler: Attack Rolls
Viper A
Hit: (1d20+8)[22] vs AC
Damage: (1d6+4)[7]+(1d8)[3] lightning
Secondary Hit: (1d20+6)[23] vs Fort
Secondary Damage: (1d8+2)[5] poison + (1d8)[5] lightning
The other viper tries to retaliate against the person who attacked it last. Thorn successfully slices back at the snake but can't push it far enough away from her to prevent the snake from striking true, in part because the viper seems less injured by her lightning dagger. The coursing of venom in Thorn's veins is succeeded by electrical charge.
The bite deals 7 damage + 3 lightning damage and the poison deals 5 poison damage + 5 lightning damage, for a total of 20 damage. Thorn also takes 5 ongoing poison damage (Skill Save Ends Endurance DC 16, Skill Cure Heal DC 12 as a standard action).
Spoiler: OOC
I've assumed that you want to slide the snake away from Asjara, to keep the enemy's party split. A slide to the upper right would also put Draj out of the snake's reach. If a slide to the upper right isn't what you want, feel free to change the slide direction. No slide direction can prevent that hit, though.Last edited by TurboGhast; 2018-12-07 at 12:42 AM.

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Asjara’s slightly blue skin seems particularly well defended against the beetle’s bites.
As the viper tries to bite Thorn, Asjara lashes an unexpected strike at it.
Spoiler: OOC
Asjara has cold resistance 5, and thus ignores that 1 point of cold damage.
Wardens have an immediate interrupt to punish marked enemies attacking anyone other than her.
Anyway, viper A is basically caught between triggering Asjara's Warden's Fury and Thorn's Riposte Strike.
To hit: (1d20+11)[16] (aura -2; CA +2) against viper's AC-2
Damage: (1d10+6)[13]
This is an interrupt, so it can happen before the sliding.
Also, everyone now has combat advantage to viper A.

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Asjara strikes her hammer swiftly at the viper. Her furious strike causes turbulence everywhere else, damages and moves all enemies around. She then suddenly flies, causing further buffeting winds that drags the previously scattered enemies all around her.
Spoiler: OOC
(Standard action: Gale Strike against viper B)
(1d20+11)[24] against AC; aura and CA already considered.
If hit: (2d10+6)[21] damage for viper B, 3 damage for viper A and beetle B.
If Asjara hits the viper:
1. As part of the effects of Gale Strike, she slides viper B to the northwest and the beetle B one grid south each.
2. Then she uses windwalker (move action) to her new position, and slides all enemies near her again.
3. She gains the benefit of deadly draw, causing all enemies to grant CA to her until end of the next turn.
4. She extends her mark on all enemies.
If Asjara fails to hit the viper:
1. She extends her mark on viper B and beetle B. Viper A will no longer be marked.
And finally, clarification on the warden's marks:
If a marked enemy attacks but the targets does not include her, the to-hit takes a -2 penalty.
The warden can also interrupt the attack with Warden's Fury (+11, 1d10+6, and target grants CA to all allies) if she can reach it, or Warden's Grasp (Slide 1 and slow) as a reaction. Note that there is only one interruption action per round, so the warden is not particular sticky.

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
Draj's attack appears to be particularly effective against the vipers, letting Thorn's attack kill the weaker one.
The beetle tries to back up and fire its spittle, but bumps into the well and feels forced to fire at point blank range, thus opening itself to an opportunity attack from Asjara. Since the beetle still is quite healthy, it's unlikely that this opportunity attack will deal enough damage to kill and prevent the 4 cold damage, resisted to 0 damage and immobilization (Save ends, Skill Cure Thievery DC 12 as a standard action, Acrobatics DC 20 as a move action by the affected character)
Spoiler: Attack rolls
Hit: (1d20+8)[21] vs Reflex
Damage: (2d4)[4] cold
Comparatively, the other viper seems much calmer as manages to hit Asjara, despite being more injured. Asjara also begins feeling the effects of the poison. The bite inflicts 10 damage + 2 lightning damage, and the poison deals 10 damage + 6 lightning damage, for a total of 28 damage. Asjara is also subject to 5 ongoing poison damage (Skill Save Ends Endurance DC 16, Skill Cure Heal DC 12 as a standard action).

Re: Anti-Slavers of the Wildlands Expeditionary Guild IC
With great endurance, Asjara shrugs off the venom, as if it were nothing. Instead of paying attention to her injury, she prefers to finish the viper quickly, and unleashes a furious strike.
