    It is a throwing returning hammer (Blacksmiths) with fiery and thundering enhancements. It has a minor curse in that is will sometimes strike the thrower on returning, but very rarely.

    Oh! Lets go the way with the traps! In an obviously ancient ruin, that seems like an awesome idea. Especially since we have absolutely no skill monkey to locate or disable things that might kill us, render us insane, curse us, disease us with long forgotten ailments, poison us with long forgotten toxins, create illusions powerful enough to be real, well, the list does go on really.
    Though thankfully the DM is nice, and isn't including anything that can't be solved without a rogue... Of some sort.
    Like the trap back in the hall which casts Berzerk on a random party member, who then barbarian rages, and attacks its teammates... See? That trap wasn't there!
    I'm so nice to you... Good job me.

    The hammer reacts to hitting the door is a very predictable manner. By bouncing off of it. (And unless you catch it, it lands at your feet. Do you catch it?)
    It does of course make the standard screaming sound as it flies towards the door, the appropriate booming noise (sure to wake the dead), and rattles its target. But doesn't manage to make the door budge.

    There is no hole.
    You are at an intersection.

    The room on the other side of the door appears to be square, with this door being in the center of the wall, the room is roughly 30 feet along one side.
    It is illuminated by strange devices, which emit a low hum.
    A large crystaline cylinder sits in the center with strange protrusions at waist level, some of which are connected to odd panels covered in smaller glowing lights of various colors.
    Within the cylinder is a strange almost human body, floating in the center of some alien (unknown) fluid, it stares at you. From its head protrude three horns, almost like spires with their length, its body appears grey in the unatural illumination. Its limbs are slightly longer than one would expect, and its hands have three fingers and a thumb.
    The tube itself is what appears to be giving off the bluish glow which gives the majority of the illumination to this room.
    A number of blue glowing lines cross the floor from the walls, on which are other strange slabs of unknown reflective material.
    A single thicker line runs towards the wall to your left (assuming you opened the right hand passage).
    On the walls to your left and right (roughly 15 feet away) are doors in the center of the walls.
    You notice a strange metalic creature in the corner to your right. Sparks come from whatever it is doing to or with the small metal box there.
    You notice a slight wiff of ozone and the smell of hot metal.

    Lexara is very interested by lighting devices but her first order of priority is the strange creature in the corner. She should probably say something. She drinks portion of Enhanced Diplomacy while Lilly casts Temperance on her. Prepared to talk or fight she decides to speak up. "Exusme, would you mind answering few questions?"

    Pushing it forward.
    The next room you enter is the one directly across from this one. It has a similar setup, but in place of a cylindrical tank with protruberances, there is a circular platform, with a convex surface composed of several rings of various metals. A low but easily audible hum fills the room.
    A single star like object hovers above the center of the rings set into the floor, with a matching placement attached to the ceiling aligned with the platform set into the floor.
    Several strange things like those attached to the tank rise on spindly supports around the circumference of the platform.
    A single odd slab like those in the previous room can be found here on the opposite wall. Though this one is covered in lines, and strange symbols, which move at different speeds across its surface.
    They are rather obviously moving in tandem with the minor changes in light and sound filling the room.
