Re: Maacain Invasion: Ross Dattar's Group II
It would appear you have gotten away, as far as you can see, even from a height, there is no sign of the army, or the academy.
Thank you good sir Necromimesis for the amazing avatar.

"I've got scrolls if you want to find out now, if you want."
Mentos opens the non-saturated-with-mint pocket and pulls out a scroll with a scribbled in label of 'Identify', as well as a wand of cure light wounds.

Excellent. Anyone got a pearl? Or is it a divine version of the Identify spell, cause then we won't need the pearl.

Mentos
Mentos shrugs, and intones the magic of the scroll, then rolling it up and tapping it gently against the staff.
"Who needs pearls when you've got a scroll?"
He grabs a corner of the rolled up scroll, and gives it a firm flick, opening it as the writing glows and is replaced with an instruction manual.
"I call 'em 'Scrolls of RTFM'."

Marcus presents the wand and the Bag of Holding to Krash. I've only used three charges on the wand. Plenty left for you.

Kuruk
With head lolling back and forth the sleepy centaur seems on the verge of sleep for the fifth time on their high speed trip and escape. He whispers something to himself in what seems to be a highly specific way, "Doom. DOOM, doom doom, doomdoomdoom, doomey doom." He shakes his head with an exasperated sigh, "Dammit. We're all, still alive. No rest, for the, wicked. Thought I, could sleep, if I were, dead. At least, there was no, minty explosion. Though we, could have, used one."Never can find my towel...Forgot who did my avatar, sorry! >.<

Re: Maacain Invasion: Ross Dattar's Group II
Thank you for this manual. Let's see... Marcus casually flips through the pages, reading about the wand. I am forced to conclude that we had best not use this thing. The corruption incurred seems to be a little to heavy for my tastes.
Now let's see... we're safe at the moment, so what do we do? We can hide, we can keep running, or we can somehow regroup for a counter-attack. Aren't there more of us in the neighborhood, or are we the only ones here?

Karsh
Taking his Bag of Holding and his wand, Karsh responds, "Preferably, we need to get the Warmages away from their army. Those archers," (Karsh holds up a broken arrow shaft.) "would be a pain."
Karsh activates his wand ((10 [Deceive Item] + 10 [UMD] == DC 20 [activate wand])) and stores it in the Bag of Holding.

Well, let's think. If the archers are a problem..... I can cast Disguise Self on myself and Invisibility on another, sneak into the enemy ranks, and conduct much sabotage amongst the archers.

Psh. Don't tell me you're afraid of rocks and stones. However, if we're going to go for assassination, sneaking in with Invisibility and Disguise Self is still a valid option.

I doubt very much that they will be able to throw rocks a hundred feet up into the air.

Getting the leaders away from the army will not be easy. Do you have a plan for how to do it?"

"I can make three things invisible a day, and I can fly, too. We could always run them over. Or drop the cart on them. Not many archers can punch through adamantine plating."
Mentos seems highly amused by the concept of an invisible flying cart smashing through the enemy lines and running over the warmages.
"'What's that rumbling noise?' POW!"

Kuruk
The centaur seems to take a long few moments to recall the name of the man that had sent them on their quest. With a snap of his fingers a flash of insight breaks across his worn down features, "King Ares! He sent us, to unleash, the mighty, Tarrasque, and send it, into the heart, of Amrien's stronghold, which we did, indeed complete, relatively successfully. Fiona disappeared, in the attempt, though I doubt, she was eaten, by the beast, and I have not, seen Zoa, in many days. There was, mention by, a one Indred, that once, the Tarrasque, was slain she, would be able, to reanimate it, with even greater power, to send against, Amrien again."Never can find my towel...Forgot who did my avatar, sorry! >.<

Marcus' face brightens up as Zoa's name is mentioned.
Zoa? He's still alive? I loved that guy... we should have a reunion sometime and swap stories or something. We've got a lot to catch up on.
Marcus' eyes suddenly dart around.
