Trying to put quote in signature, line break splits it

I put a quote from myself in my signature (you can probably see it) but the quote has a line break in it, which makes it split in two for some reason at the line break. How do I avoid this?

When you go to edit it, in the top corner of the edit screen there is a "A/A" icon that switches between editor/formatted box. If you switch to the editor it will show you all of the tags and once you can see those then you can fix them. What happened with your current signature is that there are start/end tags half way through the quote so it makes each one it's own box. Once you switch to editor you can edit those out.

Mind posting the exact test you are putting in the signature space, so we can take a look at it?

IIRC, if you place it within {noparse} tags (but with square brackets) it should let us see it without the forum interpreting it.

Yeah, [noparse] should do it. Yo dawg wulf, I heard you like noparse; so I put a noparse in a noparse so we can bracket while we bracket! ...that may be the most topical the meme will ever be.

Ah, that would be the problem; the forum's implicitly closing and reopening the quote around the rogue font tags so it doesn't blow up in browsers. I'm guessing the full editor was trying to be helpful with copy/paste....

As you using "What you see is what you get mode" (top left button on the editor panel)? That might be why you get the font tags and the line break. I clearly see a line break between the two sections... I strongly recommend turning WYSIWYG off.
