I'm looking for a specific relic or magic item in D&D Lore.

I can't remember which version it was in, but I want to say 3E/3.5, but I need it for my campaign.

It's a necromancy book. I want to say it's tide in with Nerull's lore, and it's supposed to be really powerful. That's all I honestly remember. Using it grants you all sorts of cool dark power, but the consequences can be devastating. I thought it was The Book that Never Was, but that wasn't it.

I know I could homebrew a necromancy spell book and attach whichever lore I want with it, but I've worked really hard to weave my campaign in with the lore of Oerth, Krynn, Eberron, and Abeir Toril.

If you know of such a book, please mention it here. I haven't referenced it in a campaign in like 10 years, so most of the details are fuzzy, but I'd really like to implement that into a campaign I'm running.

Was it from kingdoms of kalamar, the artifact upon which the darklight wizard was based? Or the codex anathema, from lords of madness (mmmm this is aberration-related, but just supposing you could have made a bit of confusion, you never know).

I think it was the Darklight Codex, Kaleph. No wonder I couldn't remember. I don't actually own that book. And if I recall, it was not a very strong splat. I'll have to borrow a copy from a friend to check.

However, the Libram of Ineffable Damnation looks like it could be a really good substitute.
