Ed started to smirk as Bryce mentioned battling him and then chuckled at Julius's interruption. He smirks again as Julius calls him "Pops". "Guess not kid, 3 each then it is." Ed makes his way to the courtside and tosses a ball up in the air to catch it again. "Glad it's doing good by the way."

Once they're ready to go, he'll throw the ball into the court.

Doubles Trouble! -

Throwing the pokeballs onto the field simultaneously each partner appears facing off against each other. Henely throws out a pink bipedal bulldog with polka dots covering its body. Quillaia sends out a a gray-blue golem who's runes light up once on the field. The bulldog rushes forward closer to Ranger and Shrike growling menacingly. "I say don't be shy, come and play!" Henely calls out.

The Snubbull deftly dodges the strike from Shrike, its movements quicker than what would be expected from a pokemon of its stature. The Golett stomps forward and rears back its fist toward Shrike. Swinging its arm forward a fist shaped shadow is rocketed towards the bird slamming into it. The Bulldog moves under the flying pokemon and releases lights from the spots across its body. One light expands creating a blast of wind that blows past Ranger.

Kimiko slowly comes out of her daydream, only to realize that everyone is gone. She starts looking around in a bit of a panic, wondering just where everyone has gone. She seems to remember something about the courts, so she decides that’s the first place to go check. She moves her way to the courts to see who is there.

Festival Festivities

Norman looks around thinking hard. "Let's see... there should be..." He walks around some of the decorations and stops at a stack of small boxes each labeled Scavenger Hunt "Here we are. If you can take these to the stage being set up by the park that would be great. You'll be handing them off to a woman named Poppy. She might also have some things needed to be done there as well if you're still looking to help after moving these."

"You got it! I know can take care of this at least." Madelyn responds as she picks up the boxes and makes here way to the park. "Thanks!"

A woman named Poppy... got it.

Following the roads to the park a large stage being set up in front of a huge park. Nearby a group of people are set up around some courts. Julius, Bryce, and Cordelia are easily recognized in the group. At the work zone you hear someone call out "Hey Poppy, we're almost ready to start decorating the stage." A short woman wearing a ball cap turned backwards calls back "Alright, I'll send for someone to..." The redhaired women from before along with the Scraggy walks up to Poppy "Are these what you need?" Poppy blinks surprised then laughs "Yeah actually. If you hand those off to the man over there that would be great. Hey Dwight! We got the decorations right here!"

"Hey! I was told that you'd probably need some help setting up for the festival?" Madelyn says as she approaches the stage and sets down the boxes she carried off. "Though it looks like you've already have a helping hand?" She says studying the taller redhead. "I'm Madelyn, but you can call me Maddy.", she says to the shorter of the two women. "And you're Poppy?"

At the courts! -

Arriving at the courts Kimiko sees Edward and Julius battling on one field while Ace and Joanna tag team another duo. A taller woman in a simple sleeveless brown dress and red shawl who is commanding what looks to be a clay doll pokemon, and a man with bright pink hair and a high collar jacket who orders a pink bulldog with polka dots. Selina stands between the two courts watching the double battle while a Bryce and Cordelia are sitting on a nearby bench watching Julius and Edward. Cassius can be seen studying the match in the distance.

Festival Bonanza! -

"Yep that's me! Poppy Westfield, Coordinator extraordinaire! I want the stage set perfectly for my contest debut so I'm helping out with the festival." Poppy says striking a pose. "So whatcha got there?" She says looking at the boxes "Looks like more Scavenger Hunt stuff. If you want to set that over with Iaira, the redhead who's with Dwight then that'll be perfect!" Poppy grabs a clipboard and scratches out a line on the page "HEY! That should be everything for the Scavenger Hunt!" She calls out in the direction of the stage.

Ace shouts to Ranger to move in closer to the dog and throw a wrench in it's plans. The bug buzzes, dropping closer to the ground and unleashing a barrage of sound-waves at the fairy puppy

The shot rings true and stops the croc cold. It collapses almost immediately, getting pushed back nearly to Julius feet. "Whoa! That's enough... Sorry about that, Vandal! It's more serious than I thought. Let's see what you can do, Valiant! Julius says, as the croc is replaced with a mighty donkey! "Even it back up, Buddy!" The Steed brays and charges the chimp, launching a roil of earth to send it flying.

She patted some of the balls that were clipped to her hip, "I know Joseph always seemed eager to rough someone up while we were training. I bet you and I could make quite the team!"

"I know you have one more in you," Joanna says to her bird. "Air Cutter! Get both of them if you can."

Shrike looks back at her trainer, breathing heavily. She shivers from the icy air before flapping her bladed wings once more, sending a few crescents of compressed air at the doll and the fox.

"That's my girl. Great job!"

Poppy rubs the back of her head "Well... not exactly a coordinator yet. Like I said this festival is going to be my first contest but that's not stopping me! For why I chose this over the league, I just find contests more passionate than just battling." A muffled chime can be heard and Poppy pulls out a pokedex "Looks like I'm needed for something. Hope to see you at the Festival Maddy!" She says running off into the city.

Kimiko gave a hesitant nod, "Oh, yeah that could work...I guess." she said as she scanned the courts for an empty one, pointing over to it, "That one, meet you there." she said as she meandered her way to the trainer box and attempted to talk herself into a mindset for battling. It wasn't too long ago that one of her Pokemon outright killed something, so she was a bit nervous. But she knew she had to give her all, that less than one-hundred percent would not be good enough. She pulled one of the pokeballs free from her hip and waited for Selina to prep.

The Spiritomb floats closer to the Munchlax becoming more and more ghostly as it moves before becoming barely visible.

"Wing Attack, Talon. Take them down," Joanna orders.

The Rufflet slams his wings to each of the other Pokemon as he lands beside the fox and bug.
