Darion looks around with a slight frown, and then goes up to one of the groupies and says, "Dude, my friends and I would love to get to meet Emissaries of Death! Do you know which room is theirs?"

Nolrik walks up close behind Olivia and whispers in her ear, "The cult leader isn't here, at least not within 1000'."

Darion looks around with a slight frown, and then goes up to one of the groupies and says, "Dude, my friends and I would love to get to meet Emissaries of Death! Do you know which room is theirs?"

The groupies, two scantily clad women and an even more scantily clad man, all with heavy tattoos, look over to you. The guy replies "No, they aren't in yet. Which sucks!"

"Yeah," one of the women says, "they were supposed to be here from the start!"

The manager heads over, hanging up the phone, and says "We're sorry, but the bus got delayed. I promise they'll be here in time for you to talk to them before their performance starts."

Darion turns to his companions and says, "Well, where should we wait?"

Nolrik looks at the groupies with a smile, "Right here seems fine to me."

The woman who spoke earlier preens a little, pressing her slim chest out. The other, curvier woman sighs and folds her arms, while the man rolls his eyes. "Come on, Alice, save it for the band."

[Gryndel]

"Nice," Nolrik says with a sly wink at Alice, "but you should listen to your friend, Alice. I'm sure the band will show due appreciation of your hotness."

She preens a little, leaving her friends to roll their eyes.

You settle in, finding a spot to wait for the Emissaries to show up. After about half an hour, they finally arrive-grungy, ripped-clothes-wearing, long-shaggy-haired malcontents, by the look of them. Alice practically runs to them, while the other two move with excitement, but not quite as quickly.

"Oh my god oh my god oh my god!" Alice says. "This is so awesome!" she adds as she goes to hug who looks to be the drummer.

The lead singer steps in her way, saying "No touching."

"Okay, but, like, can I get autographs? Oh! Can you sign my boobs? I'll get it tattooed on there!"

Olivia starts chuckling at Alice's eagerness.

Take a chill pill girl.

Darion nudges Nolrik and whispers, "So that's our guy? Do we wait for after their show or what?"

Nolrik shakes his head and speaks in a soft voice, "No, but they're probably cultists."

He watches the band and groupies.

The band acts very stand-offish, to the point that the singer is literally the only one who talks. The others just kinda stand, arms crossed and glaring.

The groupies, while quite excited at first, seem turned off by the wall of silence and glares.

Nolrik speaks in a casual tone to the singer, "I look forward to your performance. How long has the band been playing together?"

Olivia will try to distract the groupies so as to keep any possible blatant sorcery on the down low.

You know I'm actually a talented singer myself. She says putting her hands on the smalls of their backs and leading them away.

Nolrik speaks in a casual tone to the singer, "I look forward to your performance. How long has the band been playing together?"

"Three years," the singer replies in as few words as possible.

Olivia will try to distract the groupies so as to keep any possible blatant sorcery on the down low.

The groupies are easy to lead away, having been let down quite a bit by the band.

"Impressive," Nolrik glances at the groupies, seeing them being led aside by Olivia, then returns his probing gaze to the singer with a slight grin as he steps closer, "especially for a grungy metal band. You boys certainly are more than meets the eye. Tell me," he continues to approach until within arm's reach of the singer, "is it just the trope of rockers projecting public personalities to protect your true identity, or do you have more to hide from the public?"

The singer scowls, and gestures the guard over. The guard sighs, and heads over. "They bothering you?"

"Yes," the singer responds.

The guard turns to face you guys, and says "Sorry, but they need to prep for the concert," as the Emissaries head off to the green room. "And..." he adds, looking to make sure the band is gone from earshot, "sorry you have to deal with them. They're... Not what most people expect. You know, people think they're going to be excited for the music, but honestly, I couldn't tell you how they got successful. They're a bunch of asshats."

[Gryndel]

The elf wizard sighs when the singer summons the guard, reluctantly relinquishing the opportunity to press the issue further. He considers trying to dispel the perceived Illusion, but decides that might be more impactful later. Watching the band isolate themselves he turns to face and listen to the guard.

With a shrug he replies, "I seriously doubt the quality of their music is responsible for their popularity either. Must be something," he pauses for a breath, smiles mysteriously and mutters, "magical."

Moving toward Olivia and the groupies he says suggestively to Alice, "Shame he wouldn't sign your boobs, and rather rude too. Well, maybe they play music better than they interact with devoted fans. We should all just get a drink and relax, I'm buying."

"Oh, you don't have to-" Alice starts, but gets nudged by her male friend.

"Job," he mutters.

"You know what? Thanks!" she says. "We'd love some drinks."

Darion turns to his buddies and says, "Well I guess their stage personas are an illusion. What do we want to do now? Find a good spot to enjoy the show, or stay back here?"

[Gryndel]

Nolrik glances at the male groupie a moment, then chuckles softy and turns to address Dorian, "I doubt there's much else we could accomplish here. Lets go find a good spot."

Leaving the backstage area he subtly gestures to the groupies to follow.

They're genuinely disappointed. This is likely their first time meeting the Emissaries, and, well... It sucked.

Relating to what the guy said-"Job"-going by the woman's lack of purse and any visible finances, you think he might've just been reminding her she's lacking in employment right now.

The non-Alice woman says "Yeah. Music's still good, even if they have the personalities of wet sticks. I'm Rose, by the way."

"Phillip," the man introduces himself as you start walking back out front. "And you already got Alice's name."

The wizard says simply, "I'm Nolrik."

Darion shakes the hand of the guy and waves at the 2 women. He says, "The name's Darion. I can't see how the music is going to be any good after meeting those guys, but I'll take your word I suppose."

Rose says "They've got great music-I've seen YouTube videos of their performances before, since they don't have any official channels for getting it. But agreed-meeting them is just, ugh."

[Illven]

I mean they've probably practiced for years. Anyone can get good at anything with training.

"Have any of you seen them perform live?"

There's a brief chorus of nos as they all reply in the negative. "First time," Alice says. "And we were so excited..."

Darion says, "Let's go find a good spot to see the show. I know I definitely don't want to be in the pit."
