Last week I get a first aid formation and twenty minutes ago our upstair neighbour bangs on our door with a wounded bleeding foot.
(The fire department just took him away).

Oh man. I wasn't feeling too well last night. I went to bed early last night because of a feverish temperature. But now I feel better.

    That's good to hear man.

The fibromatic growth on my tongue has returned after about a year out from it's surgical removal. Annoying. I've been doing so much work to keep my mouth clean and like, one missed day of flossing and maybe digging stuff out of my teeth a little too hard with my tongue, and it's back. Gonna go to the dentist to see if the biopsy on the gross tongue bump is in since it's been like a year and no contact, and see about getting it surgically removed again. It'd suck to have to get my face all numbed up again, but the mouth feel is killing me already.

The weirdest part that I didn't take any medicine to get rid of the fever.

Your body has a natural fighting force inside of it. Medicine, while very useful, is not always needed. The fever you were having was likely an older strain you had been sick with before, and was executed summarily by your good good inside friends. Reward them with some water and like a carrot.

I rarely get sick and I'm very resistant to cold weather.

Indeed it does. And it includes things such as raising your body temperature high enough to kill a virus (it also helps some of the other defences move about faster), but hopefully not your internal organs. We call that "fever". It's not terribly effective, but it does work on occasion. I once asked my doctor why we suppress it, if it is an internal body defence, and they said something along the lines of "for minor things, it's not worth the inconvenience. For major things, it's unlikely to work, and thus we may as well get rid of it. For really bad things, it has a good enough chance to kill you, so we have to". But in this case, Bartmanhomer may have got better because they had a fever.

Right, I forgot that. Mixed up cause and effect again for a second, even after watching Cells At Work I forget fevers and allergies are the body acting, not the thing the body is fighting.

Perfectly understandable. We often treat the fever as the enemy, or at best the symptom of the enemy, rather than a body defensive mechanism.

The funny part is that the fever is actually your body's way of fighting off Infection.

There seems to be an epidemic of medical posts, so I'll contribute.
Went in for a root canal yesterday, and after carving out a very large portion of my tooth, the dentist determined that the nerve was probably not infected and a filling would do. (Seriously, it is creepy to see a large chunk of your tooth is missing after somebody was drilling in your mouth.) Unfortunately the tooth is now hurting, so I may have to go back.

In other news, I got my drivers license, so now I can crash into stuff drive on the road. Also, the first time I went to a place not 2 minutes away, I got lost for around ½ an hour.

I actually was feeling better yesterday, I read a bad argument on another forum, got cranky instead of sad and felt much better...

...unfortunately this damn empathy and introspection that's been plaguing me lately came back today, baby steps I suppose, I'm hoping to get to a more callous baseline again to end these moods, as being more compassionate and self reflecting is really irritating!

For me, though, I managed to survive the Death Race and make it home from my mom's just now, so I'm safe and snuggled up in my bed, finally. Probably put something on TV and fall asleep to it and hopefully wake up less dead.

Okay that makes sense. Yeah, that would have been a problem, because I wouldn't be able to eat because of the exposed gum and horrible pain after the Novocaine wore off.

It might just be because it is slightly to tall, because it only really hurts after I bite down on something, and if the tooth is to big there is more pressure on one area of the gum. (I think that is how it works). Anyway, I will go back, but possibly not that soon. (There is another surgery coming up as well, for something totally unrelated).
