Fredricus and Dr Bath lead their allies against each other! Fredricus assembles Meynolds and Captain van der Decken, and Dr Bath is in front of Calamity, Almighty Salmon, Heretic, and Fleeing Coward!

Pre-Main Phase
Fleeing Coward and Almighty Salmon charge at Fredricus, but their way is blocked by the heavily armored Captain van der Decken! Fleeing Coward hits through his thick plate for 3 damage, and Almighty Salmon finds a vulnerable spot and strikes it for 2 damage!
Heretic cautiously comes at Captain van der Decken with his weapon raised, but the captain easily blocks! He counterattacks, but Heretic ducks under his swing! But then Fredricus socks him (Heretic) for 4 damage! And Meynolds kicks his shin for 2 more damage!
Calamity creeps up behind the captain and subdues him! He deals 7 damage and stuns van der Decken! Dr Bath further hits him for 3 damage!

Heretic is finally taken down! And the captain is stunned and damaged!

If we did 15 damage to Captain van der Decken (3+2+7+3) couldn't he have lost another wound? Because he wasn't using juggernaught stance, he was using combat expertise, which would give him d8 vitality, rather than d14.

Round 24

Main Phase
Calamity creeps along the edges of the arena. Its shadow betrays no secrets of his presence. He spies his target. Clutching a black leather sap, he stealthily makes his way forward, raises his weapon, and strikes!
...but Fredricus sees him! He warns his ally Captain van der Decken, who spins around and catches Calamity's arm! Calamity struggles, but he can't escape the captain's iron grip! The captain socks him for 2 damage! Fredricus also joins in, but Calamity twists this way and that and manages to avoid his slash! But then Meynolds, clearing the 15-foot distance in one leap, brings his heavy axe down...
and collides with Dr Bath's shoulder! The doctor had leapt at Meynolds in a mad attempt to stop the blow from landing (it still did 1 damage), but he crashed into the armor-y part of Meynold's get-up, knocking the wind out of him for a while but doing no damage!
Almighty Salmon and Fleeing Coward confront Fredricus, but the captain recieves both their blows! Almighty Salmon's, he absorbs, but he takes 3 damage from Fleeing Coward!

But he also absorbs that blow! Calamity is similarly lucky!

Almighty Salmon hacks at Fredricus, but Captain van der Decken takes the blow! He suffers 8 damage!
Fleeing Coward thumps Meynolds for 3 damage! Meynolds turns around and slashes at him! Fleeing Coward blocks the slash, but the axe is deflected at Calamity, who is setting up for Dr Bath's attack! Calamity takes 6 damage! But Meynolds is distracted from Dr Bath's thrust, which does 2 damage!
Fredricus and Captain van der Decken go for Calamity! But the doctor is protecting him, and he manages to intercept Fredricus' strike and van der Decken's attack!

Calamity cures himself of some wounds!

Meynolds is damaged! Calamity's healing is neutralized! But Captain van der Decken is standing steady!

Main Phase
Calamity sweeps his sword at the captain (REROLL: Decken's at 1d2 because of no Shield Other, so it auto-hits instead), cutting him some nasty wounds for 8 damage! He counterattacks, but Calamity blocks the blow! But Fredricus suddenly leaps from behind his ally and bodily slams into Calamity for 4 damage!
Fleeing Coward and Almighty Salmon both rush Meynolds! Fleeing Coward palm strikes him for 3 damage, but Meynolds shoves Salmon's attack aside and retaliates against Fleeing Coward for 2 damage! But then Dr Bath stabs at his exposed side for 4 damage! (REROLL: Well, he still hits.) Meynolds isn't down yet, though, and he swings wildly and decapitates Calamity (10 damage)!

The captain staggers, but does not fall! Fleeing Coward has only minor wounds! Meynolds is gashed, though, but his wounds are not as bad as Calamity's, who loses 2 lives!
