    Default Elvish songs

I'm pretty new to D&D, playing my second campaign in a 3.5 homebrew as a half-elf cleric. Our dm wants us to learn as much about our chosen race as possible and I've found a lot of really great resources. The only thing I've been having trouble with is I want to find some elvish songs. I don't know if I'm just not phrasing my searches right or what but I've only been able to find songs from the LOTR movies. I really want to find some songs about traveling or maybe drinking songs but I don't even know where to start looking, any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

As a half-elf, rather than a full elf, this is actually probably more accurate to the race than if you had easy access to them. Youre cut off from the full measure of both your heritages, so while you know these things must exist, you don't really know what they are or where to find them.

Anyway, unfortunately, LOTR is probably going to be the most in-depth examination of any sort of elven culture youre going to find. If it doesn't have what you want, theres a decent chance that it simply isn't there. You could ask your DM to see if he knows of any good places to look, and if he doesn't, then at least you made an honest effort and he knows it.

If you want Tolkien elvish songs then search for "The road goes ever on" by Donald Swann which contains his setting of Tolkein's songs (personally approved by JRR). I am not sure how easy it is to find recordings, but when I bought a copy of the settings it came with a CD of the songs.

If you want D&D elvish background then the elf section of Races of the Wild is the place to start.

If you ever have to actually sing an elven song for RP points, just chant resonant nonsense and make up what it means.

Nice find - that's one of the Donald Swann settings which shows some (at least) are available on the internet.

You might also look at Dragonlance Tales series; there were a number of songs/poems put in those, covering parts of the Chronicles module series that were not covered in the novels.

Still going to be Tolkien, but...

I do follow some YouTube artists that might have what you need!

Karliene - mostly she does covers, but have some original songs as well. Also check out her other music, especially the Game of Thrones-related ones, for more "fantasy"-music.
Beren and Luthien, written by JRR Tolkien
The King Beneath the Mountains, written by JRR Tolkien
    Elven Song, original by Karliene
Galadriel's song, written by JRR Tolkien

Clamavi de Profundis - these people are fantastic and you can pretty much put up their entire work as background music for any fantasy game.
The Song of Eärendil (Part 1), written by JRR Tolkien
The Song of Eärendil (Part 2), written by JRR Tolkien
The Song of Eärendil (Part 3), written by JRR Tolkien
The Dragon Is Withered, written by JRR Tolkien
The Song of Beren and Luthien, written by JRR Tolkien
All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter - Seek For The Sword That Was Broken, written by JRR Tolkien
Fall of Gil-Galad, written by JRR Tolkien

Eurielle - not as much work here as others listed, but she's polished and talented. Her original works are quite beautiful and I feel could fit in well with Tolkien's works.
Song of Durin, written by JRR Tolkien
Song of Durin (new lyrics), original by Eurielle/inspired by JRR Tolkien
Lament for Thorin, original by Eurielle
    Luthien's Lament, original by Eurielle
    Arwen's Promise, original by Eurielle

Erutan - also does a lot of "bardic music" as she would call it, and has released some great albums. Plays all her own instruments and also does instrumental-only music. She doesn't have any Middle-Earth related Elven songs, but I'll link some that could probably work as "Elven" for some.
Hymnf of the Faith, from Final Fantasy X
Lament of the Highborne, from World of Warcraft
Ronfaure (vocal version), from Final Fantasy XI
Cleyra Settlement, from Final Fantasy IX
Temple of the Moon, from World of Warcraft
Song of the Goddess: The Eternal Path, original work for Dragon Nest SEA
The Hunter's Mark, original work for Monster Hunter 3
    The Willow Maid, original work
Day of Destiny, original work for Dragon Nest SEA
