Default The Ides of March: Notaspiderswarm

Firstly, just to get this out of the way, if your name isn't on the thread and you're in my game, don't be looking in the thread. This thread is for Notaspiderswarm. Don't read further unless that's you.

Everyone find their designated door or seat?

    Great.

    We begin.

The sun is just beginning to set in the lazy hamlet of Ebelne. The weather's been hot, it's usually hot here. But it's a dry heat. Your limited experience along trade caravans lets you know that somewhere to the southwest, there's a tribe of nomadic halflings. They come from the desert to barter on occasion, but it's usually around major festivals, like the solstice.
There are two other towns, actual towns and not hamlets, not too far from you. Evrananas, to the Southeast, which is where your father usually goes to barter, and Hluthanara, a border town- actually beyond the border and out of elven lands, in the sandy foothills populated by Hobgoblins and other odd folk. You've never really gone beyond there. Your father has made a decent living in "creative trade", being that he can make a trip across the border and obtain unusual wares. It's not a recognized trade route, which is both why it's so profitable and why he has to run to and from rather unpopulated settlements.

This has been your world for as long as you can remember. There aren't many horses- even fewer oxen or plow beasts. You know a traveling tinker that rides a camel.
Which basically means that here, in this hamlet, your father is a very powerful, wealthy and influential individual, and getting out from under his thumb may require more than just waiting for an opportunity...
