The woman crosses the stream and heads towards the edge of the mountains. She approaches a seemingly random spot in the trees and looks back towards where you were. She does not seem to see or hear you.

She pauses by a low hanging branch then ducks under it and disappears from sight.

Sorry. I had zero time or energy to do anything for a couple of days and completely lost track of how much time had passed. I'm okay. Everything's fine.

Leta follows behind her, attempting to sneak into what she assumes is the other player's start zone.

Edit: I just realized I haven't been adding the +4 to Hide from being Small size.

You follow her, duck under the branch, and... find yourself on the other side of the branch. Arelyn Starweaver is nowhere to be found.

Interesting. Leta assumes that, as things stand, starting zone must be inviolable, at least to other players.

Not wanting to spawn camp the other player for no good reason, Leta looks around the area for clues as to where to go.

You spot the opening to a narrow valley from which the nearby stream flows.

The stream turns as it exits the valley and flows away to your right (when facing the valley from the woods). A game trail seems to follow the flow of water downstream.

On the other side of the valley is what appears to be another game trail more of less following the mountains in that direction.

Coming striaght out of the valley, there is no visible trail into the woods, though you may choose to go that direction as well.

You may also potentially come up with something that the DM hasn't considered yet.

Leta attempts to Climb - (1d20-1)[15] a tree to get a better view of the area.

You, somewhat surprisingly, manage to climb the tree successfully. Upon reaching the top, you see the area laid out before you.

In one direction is the valley, filled with lush grasses and a shallow stream flowing through the middle of it. It heads off quite a distance before terminating in almost sheer cliff walls. You can tell that traveling beyond the far end of the valley will be quite difficult without proper climbing gear.

Facing away from the valley, the stream disappears into the trees to your left. In that direction the foliage becomes more brown and gray than green, which you are eventually able to identify as a swamp.

Following in that general direction, almost at the edge of what you can see, is a large clearing with an absolutely massive tree in the middle. You get a strong sense of foreboding that increases the longer you look at the tree.

To your right, following the assumed path of the other game trail, you see a series of smaller gaps in the trees that aren't quite clearings but also don't look quite natural either.

In the direction directly opposite the valley, the forest becomes extremely thick, though most of the trees in this area are shorter and seem younger than most other parts of the forest. Just as you are about to look away, you catch a glint of something and manage to just spot some sort of stone structure through the trees.

Knowledge (Geography) - (1d20+3)[11] to try to memorize the area?

Leta decides that she really wants to investigate that stone structure but absolutely does not want to do it at 1st level. So, she's going to go try to hunt some rabbits.

She heads towards the valley, hoping to spot some. She takes 10 on Hide and MS for 17 and 13, respectively.

You're able to remember the general landmarks and directions well enough to be able to navigate with a good Survival check, but you certainly won't have perfect recall.

You emerge from the woods at the mouth of a lush valley filled with knee high grass and a few low bushes and shrubs but no trees to speak of.

Ahead of you is a group of (1d4)[1] rabbits. They don't seem to have noticed you.

Leta will charge it in an attempt to kill it quickly.

It darts away before you even get close enough to be a threat.

Leta will find a rock that's a good throwing size and then look for another rabbit.

[Rizban]

You find several such rocks.

after a few minutes of searching, you spot (1d4)[1] rabbits.

She takes 10 on Hide and MS, if possible, and approaches the rabbit and throws the rock.

Leta retrieves the rock and continues hunting rabbits, maintaining stealth.

When next she finds one, she attacks.

When next she finds another rabbit, she will pause long enough to Inspect it and then attacks.

You crack the one over the head and break the neck of the other when it tries to flee.

Proud of herself so far, Leta collects the four rabbits she's killed and drags them back to her starting room. Once she has them stored away, she recovers her rock and continues her stealthy hunt.

You kill a second, but you miss when the other three dart away into the tall grass.

You hear the familiar horrible screaming of an angry Basher as it emerges from the grass.

"{curse curse curse}," she mutters under her breath as she drops into the tall grass and crawls 10 feet, attempting to Hide and MS.

She readies an action to attack the Basher if it comes within range.
