R11T11: Steingott steps forward closer to the fray and fires on one of Zada's attackers, but the combination of friendlies in the way and Steingott's icky feeling, the shot misses.

R11T10: Norton, what do you do?

Readied action: Cast Glitterdust centered at the Northwest Corner of Purples square, where it should hit all three of the enemies that are visible on my map, done once Zada has retreated further to the party.

R11T9: Zada, you are paralyzed. Even though your body is helpless, your spiritual weapon is still active. It is currently targeting Pink. Do you keep on Pink, or change target? Regardless, your spell still gets to attack its intended target.

R11T9: Despite their paralysis and things looking bleak, Zada realizes that even if they are lost, the spirits will enact their revenge as long as the magic infuses the force-staff. The disembodied weapon cracks Pink in its left wrist for 3 force.

R11T8-3: Purple slashes Zada in the right shin for 6 mod and the groin for 6 mod. Pink pushes past the others and tries to bite Zada, but for their stout armor, and the force staff follows the doomed ghoul.

R12T18: Draegra spins round to see Zada not following and lunges forward looking for a weakness in the ghoul's defenses. Seeing one, he slashes into Pink's chest for 11.

R12T17: Red bites Zada in the chest for 7 mod; slashes their belly for 8 mod; but has trouble with the last claw. Snarling as Zada's paralyzed body defies it, it looks to the taller goblins and says, "Knock this bitch down."

R12T16: Green ignores its fellow ghast, biting Zada in the side of the lower ribs for 7 mod; slashes their belly for 7 mod; but has problems with the last claw, just like its fellow ghast.

R12T11: Steingott, what do you do?

Norton on deck, Purple in the hole ...

R12T11: In an amazingly atypical display for a dwarf, Steingott says fearfully, "The hell with this, I'm out of here!" and he books it around the north bend out of sight before he is heard screaming unevenly and coughing.

R12T10: Norton, your readied action didn't go off as Zada never cleared the ghouls. What do you do?

Watching Steingott flee gives Norton pause. "Draegra! This is a lost cause, if we stay we're going to die!" After having said his part, he conjures the spell he was going to drop previously, then turns tail and starts to flee himself.

Standard action: Cast Glitterdust, centered on the Northwest corner of Purples square. Should get every enemy that is visible on the map, with the unfortunate side effect of hitting Zada too.

Move action: Retreat at full speed after Steingott.

Reminder: If Draegra responds to Norton, Norton does share the language with him so he can understand.

R12T10: Watching Steingott flee gives Norton pause. "Draegra! This is a lost cause, if we stay we're going to die!" After having said his part, he conjures the spell he was going to drop previously, then turns tail and starts to flee himself, ending 10' behind Steingott. A cloud of golden, glittering particles bursts forth at the back line, encompassing all but one of the ghouls.

R12T9: Zada, you are dying. Roll a stabilization check. In addition, your spiritual weapon is still attacking its target (+9 attack, 1d8+1 force damage). Please make that attack.

R12T9: The group doesn't know Zada's actual peril, as they are simply paralyzed. Better yet, their spell still operates as the ghostly quarterstaff buffets Pink in the chest for 1 force. Everyone who sees that recognizes that while the force-staff is active, it seems to be particularly weak ... but a hit is a hit.

R12T8-3: Purple coughs. They aren't suffering from respiratory distress being dead, of course, but they do have their own weird psychology, and being blinded, it appears to be a psychosomatic response to that. Purple feels along the wall to back out while they are disabled. Meanwhile, Pink savagely attacks Draegra, failing on all counts to get past his defenses.

R13T18: Draegra, what do you do?

Draegra see's Zada struggling and nods to the other, "Please try and save Zada, the aren't moving" in desperation they launch another massive chop at the ghoul thing they had studied

R13T18: Draegra sees Zada's paralyzed travail and nods to Norton so far behind him, "Please try and save Zada. They aren't moving." In desperation, he launches another massive chop at the ghoul thing he had studied, but sickened as he is the attack is wild.

R13T17: With claws and bite Red rips Zada's left foot right off and begins to eat it. With that attack, Zada is no longer stiffened in the position they were in when standing, but the whole body simply suddenly goes limp. As the once-goblin crunches on Zada's metatarsals it smiles up at Draegra. "Too late to save, for her limp body means she is no longer alive, and you are next, meatbag!"

Draegra sees the strangely ancient rat in Zada's satchel discorporates into a fine mist before disappearing entirely, proof that it was a spirit, and not a true rat.

R13T16: Green also begins to take their time during Draegra's desperate struggles to begin snacking on the tendons and soft muscles at the back of Zada's left knee.

R11-10: Norton, Steingott ahead of you is coughing furiously. Meanwhile his skin is discoloring as various parts of what you can see turns a yellow and quickly begins to show signs of some type of infection. What do you do?

He drops his spear, pulling his shirt up to cover his mouth and nose while also attempting to hold his breath before he starts to rush forward to get past Steingott, his free hand reaching to cover his satchel as best as he can while he moves.

R13T10: Norton yells back to Draegra "There's something in the air back here, be careful!" He turns back to Steingott. "Try and keep moving, if we can get you out of here, maybe we can save you." He drops his spear, pulling his shirt up to cover his mouth and nose while also attempting to hold his breath before he starts to rush forward to get past Steingott, his free hand reaching to cover his satchel as best as he can while he moves. He has to really, really squeeze at the far end but makes it through the narrow gap and then south to the base of the stairs.

R13T8-3: Pink gets a soft crit on Draegra's shoulder for 8, and then AGAIN with another soft crit on the other shoulder for 8. It's the second strike that does it, as Draegra's muscular-skeleton system seizes and Draegra can no longer move.

End Round 13, Begin Round 14 ...

R14T18: With two lucky shots, it was a matter of time before the sickened Draegra would fall prey to the enemy. As he sits there paralyzed - his eyes fixed and unable to close them, seeing only the horror that is coming his way - he at least can offer a prayer to the various gods of justice of the Godclaw that maybe Norton and Steingott can get away and avenge their deaths.

R14T17-16: Red bolts forth and knocks Draegra's paralyzed body to the ground as it moves past. Green also leaps over Draegra's now strictly vertical field of view.

R14T11: Steingott's coughing can be heard by Norton in the background, but getting no closer.

R14T10: Norton, you are at the base of the stairs. Hopefully Draegra is either butchering undead or falling back. What do you do?

Norton continues his flight, moving up the stairs as fast as he can manage, only letting his shirt down to breath once he's made it to the top. From there, he starts to put some distance, only glancing back occasionally to see if anyone is following him, friendly or otherwise.

R15T11: Steingott suffers 3 CON and falls to his knees.

R15T10: Norton, you had just gotten to the top of the stairs, and it definitely sounds like something just started onto the bottom of the stairs. What do you do?

R19T10: A mahogany table surrounded by chairs sits in this room. Twin fireplaces loom to the west, while to the east, stained-glass windows obscure what could have been a breathtaking view of the Lost Coast. Each window depicts a monster rising out of smoke pouring from a seven-sided box. From north to south are depicted a gnarled tree with an enraged face, an immense hook-beaked bird with sky-blue and gold plumage, a winged centaur-like creature with a lion’s lower body and a snarling woman’s upper torso, and a deep blue squid-like creature with evil red eyes.

Norton, you are close to the stained glass window with the gnarled tree and enraged face. What do you do?

Norton will attempt to break the window with whatever he can find on hand that he can lift and smash with

If there is something small enough that Norton thinks he can lift it and bludgeon with, he will use it as a weapon to try to smash the window. If there isn't, he will attempt to do it barehanded.

R19T10: In a pique of panicked irony, Norton picks up and smashes the window with the angry tree-face on it with the product of a real tree - a chair. He drops the chair, realizing it was heavier than he thought, but that adrenaline.

R19T8-R20T16: Green shows up now, and the hateful little goblin ghast calls out, "I got him in the dining room! He's done for. There's nowhere for him to go!"

R20T10: Norton, what do you do?

Norton climbs out the window, and, assuming his balance doesn't betray him, starts following the edge of the building around to the southern side.

Norton, slips and falls to his death in the freezing gulf waters far below.
