Adding some extra stones to make sure that it would stay open, even as little as it was now, Jessica rolled under and then retrieved her sword. Then she helped the others through.
"There's fighting further ahead," she said as she helped the others through, "if we're lucky we can surprise some of them."

As soon as everybody was through, she would move on towards the sounds of combat.

Gashur does not quite like the idea of rolling under portcullis and leaving it in this not-really-open state, but an opportunity to ambush some guys from behind is just too good to pass on, so he rolls under the portcullis and quietly leads the way.

Rolling under the portcullis that is wedged open by the piled up rocks leaves everyone with their hair standing up on end as everyone has a moment of panic where they imagine the rocks cracking and the gate slamming down on them. But nothing happens and they are able to get through, Jessica and Gashur approaching the double doors....

Then the floor drops away!! Both Gashur and Jessica vulnerable as the floor drops away revealing a 10ft by 10ft section of the floor plunging some 20ft down a sheer pit into the floor where a dozen spear heads gleaming with an amber ichor jut upwards!!

Mong relaxes his rage, calming down after before rolling underneath, he yells look out as he sees the floor give out to Gashur and Jessica hoping they are okay.

These demons have trapped even te entrances now.

"Guess, we might have to jump over the pit trap now"

Gashur barely does not fall into the pit. In fact, one of his feet was already there, but he was able to swing the fauchard as some reaction mass and fall on his back on the near side of the pit, both legs dangling in there. He carefully gets up to his feet again and starts observing the floor and maybe hitting it with the blunt end of the fauchard here and there to look for more pits. This one, covering only half of the width, looks very convenient for the defenders to avoid as necessarily, but still a bit half-assed as traps go, so the half-orc assumes the possibility that there is more. While at it, he listens to the sound of combat and maybe for someone coming our way.

As the pit opened, Jessica used her sword as a pole right next to the pit to jump over it. She looked at the others.
"Okay, we best take care and not rush things," she said. She would let the ones better suited at finding traps go first, while she kept ready to fight.

The pit swings open, but Jessica and Gashur are swift enough to leap backwards neatly avoiding the open floor way. None of you fall into the spear tips though and you can skirt the edge of them to reach the well secured double doors. Moving the massive plank that had been wedged across the door they swing open revealing a scene of madness. The long corridor is lined with eight weathered statues of horned demons crouching on platforms that overlook the slope of a massive 40ft wide rampway sloping downwards towards where the heavy gatehouse doors have been battered open.

At the far end of the ramp some 90ft away the backs of the cult hordes can be seen, some dozen cultists with glaives and hooked axes stand amidst three winged savage looking demonic stony shapes where the try and push back the throng of partially uniformed crusaders and full plated dismounted knights battling through the doorway, a flash of golden armour and green skin as the Lady Irabeth leads the charge, although you can see glaives and spears jabbing towards the orc general!

At the bottom end, ~90ft away, a double rank of cultists ~12 and 3 large stony creatures (you recognise them as fiendish gargoyles) hold the line as crusaders try and pour through the door

Tali

Tali, heart pounding with relief after Jessica's near miss, keeps pace with the others as they finally reach the main inner gate. Seeing Irabeth and the crusader vanguard already engaged in a desperate melee, Tali holds to her first-strike policy, launching into a flurry of arcane gestures. Her eyes blaze with power as she unleashes a mythic fireball, a swirling vortex of superheated air erupting at her fingertips. It hurtles towards the cultist ranks, aiming to engulf them in a fiery inferno and disrupt their formation, easing the pressure on Irabeth and the crusaders.

Fire blossoms in a blaze o white fire in the narrow corridor, caught by surprise the effect is savage as flesh and stony fiend skin is seared away. Nearly all of the cultists are obliterated in the fiery blast and the three fiends shriek loudly, coarse stony cries of pain, as their skin blackens as chars. As the flames die down only two of the cultists stand, briefly. Both fall almost immediately as the crusaders slice them down. The three heavily burnt gargoyles do not fare much better,

The singing bard inspiring his allies, Mong charges into the first one blade hewing it down in a single blow even as the Lady Irabeth does the same to another with glowing blade that sizzles as it hits the creature. The third one, surrounded by 6 of the angry soldiers goes down in a whirling and flailing hail of blows.

As the scuffle stops Irabeth see you all standing at the far ed of the hallway and with a wave of her hand a surge of cursaders jogs past Mong and up towards Tali, Jessica and the rest. Irabeth stops, a posse of crusaders drawing breath behind her, some at the back tending to their wounds. "My thanks Lady Tali your intervention, " she pauses to encompass you all with wave of a blood splattered gauntlet, "Thanks to the inheiritor to all of you. The bulk of the men under Father Sosiel and Aneiva continue to pin the enemy in the fortress, I led this spearhead against the gate, but it was bloody and I'm glad you helped punch us a way in. How do we penetrate in here? SPread out or stay together?"

Alostor (and Shadowfang) The black-and-orange tiger turns to Irabeth and speaks; the voice is Alostor's regular voice, and it sounds small, out of place coming from the large beast. "I see no benefit to splitting up. These guards were not much of a challenge, but I expect the demons to show up in force soon. We should not make ourselves vulnerable by splitting up".

The fireball was certainly impressive. When they were done here in the castle, they would have to sit together to discuss some tactics that would maximize effectiveness of such magics. Either by having the melee fighters stay out of combat for a while, or making sure they couldn't be harmed by the fire.
"Stay together for now," she agreed with Alostor, "but be ready to change that if the situation warrants it. But don't huddle together. Some of our enemies can do the same thing was we did to them. Lets head for the central keep."

"Yeah, we'll spread around after they break and run. So far, not even close. Heal your men and let's go." Gashur is prepared to lead north to the vrock room and then wherever he will be pointed.

"Let's stay together for now, " Mong said, impressived with what we have achieved so far.

He is glad they got this far. Tali's magic is sure been useful, who knew when she first learned magic that it would turn out so well.

"Agreed, Jessica, let's head to the central keep!"

Irabeth nods, brushing her short dark hair out of her face. "Hear me men and woman of Kenabares. We will plunge further into this place and rid it of its infestation and reclaim the Sword of Valour!" There is a cheer from the men and woman crowding the narrow tunnel and a trio of pulsing glows as three of the knights channel their holy energies to heal wounds. the birghtest of the three from the Lady Irabeth.

That said the party turns around, Irabeth joining the likes of Gashur, Jessica and Mong at the vanguard of the troops as you skirt the spiked pit heading back into the chamber with the dead ogres, the way to the North and the east is blocked but a path turns to the west into a chamber where new foes await you (room 5). Two rows of stone benches occupy face a raised dais to the north, on which stands a twelve-foot-tall statue of an armored woman with a sword and shield. Faded tapestries hang in tatters to either side, and a larger one on the south wall depicts the armored woman on bended knee before a man wearing green robes. Three smaller, human-sized statues of armored knights stand within small alcoves to the west, each holding a longsword pointing downward.

In the heart of the chamber a tattered band of men stand, each impressive and handome, the tatettered uniforms o the crusade upon them as they turn with blank eyes to face you and the rest o the troops as they form a line in the chamber guarding the regal looking woman behind them, a woman garbed in red silks and comely, save for the forked tail, horns and bat like wings. She turns as you enter the church, looking across the 15ft gap between her defenders and where Mong, Gashur, Jessica and Irabeth form the leading ranks. The demonic succubus smiles.... "More invaders.. well we'll see how far you get here, I have been needing more pets!"

Tali hangs back, cautiously appraising the situation in this instance. Although in previous encounters she's lead hard and fast with a fireball, it looks like these men may not be willing participants and she doesn't want to hurt them.

I see there are two sets of doors leading from 4 into 5. Gashur goes to the other set, whichever that is, and stands there ready to open it as soon as either of the following happens:
1. The mass of her troops engages with the mass of our troops, or...
2. She casts something.

Mong is happy the queen is entering with them. Something about her makes everything easier, just her presence.

When he enters the room, Mong is wide eyed, the fantastical statues of crusaders, big woman and other small men ones, he assumes the big one is Iodedea, or some other religious person.
The men facing them do not seem right in the head with their deer in the torch-light look on their faces. However, they seem to be led by a cute female with demonic features, , "The Demonic invasion ends now. Surrender, and we will go easy on you. I may even give you the chance at dating me. *Mong smiles*
Refuse and we will slaughter you like the foul fel turds you are. The choice is yours." Mong says as he draws steel.

Jessica wondered why they were suddenly talking, but she used the time to throw a little preparations around. First casting a protection spell and activating her smite power on the succubus, before moving to the front.
"Go back to your own dimension or be destroyed, those are your choices, fiend," she growled, sword at the ready as she moved within charge range of the succubus.

The succubus stands up from the throne of sorts she has built atop the shrine standing behind the line of ~8 soldiers, though you note all of them would be described as handsome (think at least Cha 14+). From the fronts ranks of the team that entered from the "upper" doors gashur slips away back into the ruined hall pushing through the mass of troops and listening at the "lower" doors into the ruined shrine. At Mong and Jessica's words the succubus laughs a deep an sultry laugh that sends slivers down spines.

As Jessica shields herself in a shimmering blue field the demon turns her eyes towards Mong and a stern command as in Mong's mind eyes she fills his mind as she tries to Dominate his mind with a curt "Come here for a kiss"...

Alostor (and Shadowfang) Alostor looks over the enchanted crusaders. It's an uncomfortable situation; these men are clearly being controlled. He hesitates for a moment, hoping one of the others will free them from their enslavement (or, shamefully, he must admit to himself, even just killing them). As the tense situation breaks into chaos, he and Shadowfang circle around, trying to get at the succubus. Scale of grace + double move, 80' movement that doesn't provoke to get near the succubus. Shadowfang moves 80' provoking if necessary.

As soon as the rage song is up, Gashur opens the doors and starts moving inside. He's trying not to get ahead of everyone, so this can go one way or another, but as soon as he sees two big cats next to succubus, he gets a bit more optimistic about not switching sides...
