I'm pretty much up for anything. That bowling thing sounds way fun, actually. Late night bowling for a decent price is always a good way to while away the hours with friends, in my view. And we should be done with dinner by then.

Well, actually we realized the flat rate bowling is only weeknights. I dunno what bowling costs on a friday night, although I could check.

BtW, bowling sounds awesome. I used to be really good at bowling, but since I don't practice much anymore, I've gone down hill. I do have my own balls and shoes though.

Well to correct myself AGAIN, there IS open bowling that friday night, but it's from 10 PM - 1 AM. $10 per person, for that timeframe.

Bowling outside of the open bowling hours is like $3.95 a game, methinks. It's a way better deal to go right when open bowling starts and just bowl 'till they throw you out... But then you end up like Mike, not being able to feel your hand after 13 games.

Although, with a big group, we wouldn't end up bowing nearly that many games.

I've never been in Ohio other than to drive through it. I learned it from my mother-in-law in Oklahoma.

Well, I've lived in Ohio most of my life and I can tell you Euchre was big at college and my wife's family plays at every family gathering (although my family does not). Heck, we wrote a Euchre playing program for my programming class. Maybe its a "States that start with O" thing...

Also, bowling sounds less likely to produce cripling injuries than skating, so although its pretty much already decided, I'm all for that.

I've played Euchre before, but it's been awhile. I'll probably need a refresher course. The biggest Euchre players in my family are in Illinois.

I've got a bowling ball and shoes somewhere, but I don't know if I can find them.

Uh...no. It's played lots of places. At my high school, pretty much everyone played cards at lunch, and you were either playing A**hole, Texas Hold-em', or Euchre (well...except that one time me and my friends stuck 3 decks together and had a 5-way game of War...that was fun ).

I believe the current plan is bowling Friday night, skating Saturday afternoon-ish. No reason for them to be mutually exclusive.

No... I think this one was only supposed to be played with one deck, 'cos I remember we had to take cards out so it would deal evenly. We often used more than one deck, but only once so many... Damn, I wanna do that again.
