    The door slowly clicks its cogs and locking mechanisms open and shut, and after what feels like an interminable amount of time but only amounts to around thirty seconds, the door opens, revealing...another small hall, with a number-based locked door on the opposite you, and a pair of doors on your flanks. House Kundarak is nothing if not 'thorough', it seems. The blood trail seems to be thicker here, and, ominously, leads to all doors now.

    As you pass through the large door, you hear scratching from behind the other doors on your flanks - to your left and right, though thankfully not behind the code door to your front. With each scratch it seems to get louder, more insistent, until it begins harmonising with itself, and rapidly growing. In moments it changes from the raking of claw on wood into tearing and splintering. Something knows you are there, and it wants to reach you.

    With the clawing growing more insistent, Aanash moves nearer to the first (second) door, tail poised to strike once whatever is inside breaks through. It is certainly not friendly. And that promises a good time.

    No sooner does the code-lock door shut behind you than you hear the splintering of wood from behind it as one of the doors is crushed. As you take up position before the closest one, you hear one thump against it, and then the entire thing falls apart in a great wrenching of boneclaws tearing through wood. Stood in the now 'open' doorway is a red-eyed grey-skinned dwarf, its maw dyed with dried blood. Aanash's tail lashes out at it, but to no avail as the stocky undead ducks away from it and closes into melee.

    Svek jumps back in surprise when the ghoul breaks through the door. He knew it was coming, and there are probably scarier things in the Moorland than ghouls, but he was prepared for just how ugly the thing is.

    Honor knows this fight might be dragged out, so he doesn't want to waste his Oath power on a mere ghoul or zombie. He first tests the creature's supernatural defenses with a thrust of the hammer head at it's torso, then swings the hammer around in a meteoric strike meant to decapitate the undead freak.

    With only a single foe, surrounded as they are, they're brought low and smashed asunder before they can mount any attacks against the party proper. You hear more splintering and smashing of wood from the far side of the shut door, as chunks are torn from the larger door you're immediately adjacent to. It seems the others have begun to rip and tear at it, and how long it will hold is anyone's guess.

    You quietly prepare yourselves as best you can, but the are perhaps entranced by the ravenous hunger that hasn't been sated for so long, and tearing claw and teeth manage to tear great gashes in the door, pulling apart wood and metal until there's a gap wide enough to strike and see through. One of the ghouls even manages to lunger through the gap, biting a chunk out of Svek, though the kobold evades its paralyzing claws.

    As the ghouls shatter the door, and rake Svek, Adam unleashes his spell, creating a moonbeam just behind the ghouls, burning two of them in the glowing shaft of seemingly gentle light. Immediately afterwards, his prayers reach another crescendo, and the rightmost ghoul hears a distinctive gong banging inside it's head. "Hold them at the door! We don't know how many more of them there might be!"

    Svek stands his ground, his two foot tall body blocking the door so the ghouls can't enter. As the bite chomps at him, he calls on some of his magic to harden his scales and prevent the bite from penetrating.

    "Let's keep them in the doorway."

    He then casts another spell, creating a web that fills up most of the next room.

    "We will hold the line!" Honor begins smashing with his hammer, trying to change the undead to paste. This was the type of action that put him on a knife's edge, the song of battle in his ears and the thrill of combat bringing his senses to their very edge.

    A burst of webbing seeks to entrap your foes - and indeed they all fall victim to it as they come under assault of hammer, moon, and tail. An unorthodox combination, perhaps, but one that nevertheless tears one of the ghouls to within a fraction of his life. They struggle to escape the thick webbing, and while two of them succeed, they have little choice but to move forward, right into the meatgrinder, while one is still kept within Adam's moonbeam, unable to advance further.

    Svek's Web goes up. Shield does save him from damage too.
    Adam's moonbeam is unfortunately saved against, as was Toll the Dead. They still get burned though!
    Honor misses with attack #1, hits for the second.
    Aanash hits with their tail.

    At the start of their turn, all three ghouls are webbed up.
    They all use their actions to attempt to escape the web. The one on the left fails, the other two succeed, but since it cost their action, they're not really able to do much else. One moves forward, out of the moonbeam, but they're single digit hit points remaining.

    Honor looks over the bound and stuck ghouls like an artist considering which stroke of the brush will be best to make something beautiful. Then, as always, he chooses the most brutish and violent stroke he can. His hammer swings at the unmoving foes with rhythm and efficiency, and he'd be damned if his rotors didn't sing at the righteousness of the strike.
