Hey buddy, I was browsing your thread a bit as I kinda liked your style and noticed the drowgirl in panties.

Now as I saw this post I figured I could very well post a reaction to this hunch you had, because when I saw the picture I had a bit of a gripe with it as well.

[it's called the "it's a cute girl in panties..why can't I enjoy it properly?" meter]


Although I'm no expert in anatomy I quickly cooked up an edit to show how I would've done her anatomy, next to how your picture looks.

In my mind it's easier to show stuff like this in images rather than trying to explain it in words, so hopefully this may help you with your problem/gripe a bit.

Also, she's a half-elf with dark skin. Not the drow kind, her (human) father was dark skinned.

Well I always approve of people drawing cute girls in underwear, but the anatomy being close enough to being accurate is important to me.

There's just something odd about "sexy" pictures where something is just noticably "off"


With that being said, I expect my advice to not be in vain, the drow girl in panties shall make a return..right?

You know, looking back through all the pictures and that, so few people who vector/whatnot your stuff don't shade it, Vulion...Could be due to the fact that you don't either, but I find it fairly disappointing...Yell at them when they don't :P

I just noticed something else; the hair seems to be behind the eyes.

It shows that the hair is not a solid lump, but made of component strands. It also allows you to see the eyes.

It's very common in anime art styles.

Not only in anime, I've seen it in European animation as well. It's pretty weird at first, especially when a bigger portion of the eye is behind the hair, like 70% or more. It starts looking like the eyes are glued to the hair or something.

When the covered part is a minority of it, though, it looks a lot better IMO.

EDIT: Oh, also, it usually look pretty weird if the hair colour is too dark. Works best on very light hair.

What everyone else said along with the fact that it looked better :P Normally I put it in front, but sometimes it does look better behind, this is one of those cases.
